Definitely Ellen White was a prophet. Every day I am studying the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. Whatever God revealed to her, happened. One example would be catholics uniting with the protestants, another National sunday law, In progress right now, they call it "climate sunday" or the "green sabbath", It will definitely come, and the whole world must decide for the true "seventh day sabbath", (Saturday) or Sunday worship changed by the catholic church...

sorry, that is delusional. all you just mention is nowhere found in God's word. Yes, the Papacy is anti-Christ , so are many A Day is no way the mark or seal. Investigative judgment is not found in the Bible . Hebrews tells us that there are no more Prophets of old, but all is coming from Jesus. He is the spirit of prophesy. The Holy spirit is the seal, no woman is supposed to be a teacher. These statements are all biblical. Jesus is not Michael, and it was finished at the Cross, not in an investigative judgment. The curtain was torn at his crucifixion. We are no longer separated from the Father. Heaven is the most Holy, it has no compartments. The Lord is all knowing., and Jesus is at the right hand of the Father since his resurrection. EGW created a nonbiblical Jesus and therefor anti-Christ. We are saved by grace, not work. The Sabbath is an idol and was a covenant between God and Israel " Deuteronomy 5:15" . Adventist don't preach the Gospel as Paul told us to do . The name of this church tells us what their focus is ! I pray you guys figure it out!

Are you a prophet as well as Mrs White? You say a National Sunday Law "will definitely come". Is that falsifiable? In other words what events or event would show that it is false? If there is nothing falsifiable about it then it is as good as a Mormon saying their Jesus will return and set up his throne in the United States. It is pure speculation. Mrs White's prophecy says it will happen first in the U.S. based on a threefold union between the Roman Catholic church, The Protestants of the United States and Spiritualism. Spiritualism defined as communication with supposed dead relatives is not happening nor popular. There is no movement in the U.S. for a Sunday Law that is popular or strong. Most "protestants' in the U.S. are Evangelicals and most consider Rome to be a false church.

@elijahrodgers416
@elijahrodgers416 3 месяца назад
The Spirit was not given-nor can it ever be bestowed-to supersede the Bible; for the Scriptures explicitly state that the word of God is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. Says the apostle John, “Believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1. And Isaiah declares, “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20. Our faith, and our position in the world as commandment keepers is based on the Bible. Never should the Testimonies be brought in to take a high place than the Bible. The more we look at the promises of the Word of God, the brighter they grow. The more we practice them, the deeper will be our understanding of them. Our position and faith is in the Bible. And never do we want any soul to bring in the Testimonies ahead of the Bible.

Another point you are wrong about. Ellen White never prophesied that Jesus would come in 1844.
@ServiceProcess
@ServiceProcess 2 месяца назад
@elijahrodgers416 That's correct she didn't. But ... she did prophecy that Christ Jesus would come in her lifetime. In 1849 White said God had shown her that the door to salvation was shut to humanity, so those that were not saved at that time could no longer be saved. Shut door. Well, that was a false prophecy which the Adventists print nothing about, nor talk about. At an Adventist conference she prophecies 'I was shown the company present at the Conference. Said the angel: ‘Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus'. (spiritual gift vol. 4b Chapter 2). Another false prophecy. What you should personally know, is that you will in your heart defend a proven false prophet over Christ and God the Father. That's where your heart is, it's with the Church over Christ and the Father. Good luck to you in the life to come, you will need it.

The Apostle Paul says 'Prove all things' When the disciples asked Jesus about what would be the sign of his coming and the end he said 'Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing'. You are putting your church and Ellen White before the teaching and instruction of Jesus Christ. You wrongly think your salvation is assured. I hope it is for your sake, but I don't think it is. Try obeying Jesus for the sake of your soul and look into the life and teachings of Ellen White. The chant in your head must be "defend SDAism above all costs" I don't expect you to understand what I am saying though, because for Adventists, the bible is read IN LIGHT of what Ellen says and explains PERIOD. If her explanations and teachings are removed the organization would become a christian church ie. Orthodox. What the organization is at this point is a deadly and deceitful christian counterfeit which preaches a false cursed gospel, a false jesus and has no business with the Law because it has no idea what the law/gospel distinction is. Y'all use the law unlawfully. Come to the true Christ! Research biblical hermeneutics and read the bible in context. Read whole books at a time using hermeneutical principles and you will see that what the organization says some of their favorite proof texts (which they quote all the time) doesn't mean what they say it means. Start with Galatians and then Hebrews - dont forget to read them in one sitting.

Jesus fulfilled the whole law, and he gave himself as a sacrifice to pay for our sins. Only in believing in his sacrifice and his blood covering our sins , is there salvation. No man comes unto God The Father but through Him! Trying to live by the Old Testament laws strips you of salvation, simply because no man can live up to and fulfill every law except Jesus Christ.

EGW states the following: “The health reform, I was shown, is a part of the third angel's message and is just as closely connected with it as are the arm and hand with the human body. I saw that we as a people must make an advance move in this great work. Ministers and people must act in concert. God's people are not prepared for the loud cry of the third angel. They have a work to do for themselves which they should not leave for God to do for them. He has left this work for them to do. It is an individual work; one cannot do it for another. “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” Gluttony is the prevailing sin of this age. Lustful appetite makes slaves of men and women, and beclouds their intellects and stupefies their moral sensibilities to such a degree that the sacred, elevated truths of God's word are not appreciated. The lower propensities have ruled men and women.” 1T 486.2 She also claimed that those who are waiting for the return of Christ would eventually completely do away with meat eating. On top of that, she also claimed that anyone who rejected this message of Health Reform was also rejecting God. It isn’t optional because it is a part of salvation in Adventism. This message must be obeyed in order to be fitted for immortality. This is because she claimed it is impossible to attain to Christian perfection (their brand of sinless perfectionism) if one is partaking of meat and many other foods. It eventually became tacked onto to the Adventist “Three Angel’s Gospel” message under their Third Angel’s Message and is why so many Christian’s who know very little about Seventh-Day Adventism typically know this about them. She also states: “God does not indorse the efforts put forth by different ones to make the work of Dr. Kellogg as hard as possible, in order to build themselves up. God gave the light on health reform, and those who rejected it, rejected God. One and another who knew better, said that it all came from Dr. Kellogg, and they made war upon him. This had a bad influence on the doctor. He put on the coat of irritation and retaliation. God did not want him to stand in a position of warfare, and he does not want you to stand there.” SpTB06 31.2 EGW says that to reject her Health message is to reject God. What are your thoughts???

Because she included such selections from other authors in her writings, critics have charged Ellen White with plagiarism. But the mere use of another's language does not constitute literary theft, as noted by Attorney Vincent L. Ramik, a specialist in patent, trademark, and copyright cases. After researching about 1,000 copyright cases in American legal history, Ramik issued a 27-page legal opinion in which he concluded "Ellen White was not a plagiarist, and her works did not constitute copyright infringement/piracy." Ramik points out several factors that critics of Ellen White's writings have failed to take into account when accusing her of literary theft or deceit. 1) Her selections "stayed well within the legal boundaries of 'fair use.'" 2) "Ellen White used the writings of others; but in the way she used them, she made them uniquely her own"--adapting the selections into her own literary framework. 3) Ellen White urged her readers to get copies of some of the very books she made use of--demonstrating that she did not attempt to conceal the fact of her use of literary sources, and that she had no intention to defraud or supersede the works of any other author. Ellen White "did not copy wholesale or without discrimination. What she selected or did not select, and how she altered what she selected" reveals that she used literary sources "to amplify or to state more forcefully her own transcending themes; she was the master, not the slave, of her sources" (Herbert E. Douglass, Messenger of the Lord, p. 461). See also The Truth about the White Lie

Nonsense. Plagiarism laws did not exist at the time of EGW but she knowingly used plenty sections and ideas from other authors without giving any credit to them. Those authors were selling their books and EGW used their text and ideas and was also making a profit off of selling her books. The fact that she advised her readers to acquire "some" of the books she used is irrelevant considering the plentiful ones she did not mention. A lot of her notifications about using other authors were done AFTER she was accused of literary theft. You are involved in a vain cover up.

There are no prophets today, not like biblical times. But there is the gift of prophecy, as I understand it. But if you have the gift of prophecy, there will be no mistakes, otherwise the people (the church) would be in confusion, God is not the God of confusion, but the God of peace and of love and of a sound mind! One of the reasons for the gift of prophecy is to not have any mistakes when it comes to what God is saying to the church. We are fallible but God is not!

This is a very good presentation exposing the errors of EGW. Your zeal for Biblical truths is commendable. I have something to share which you apparently still need to learn. That is your lack of knowledge regarding what "covenant" we are currently in. This knowledge will help you see other biblical doctrines clearer: The prophecy of the "New Covenant" was given in Jer. 31:31 - 34 31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, When you ask people when this "covenant" was made you will get a variety of responses: One truth I have uncovered recently, Our Messiah NEVER used the words "New Covenant" in His entire ministry! He never addressed it in a: 1) Sermon 2) Parable 3) Discussed it privately 4) Discussed it publicly 5) Asked His disciples questions about it 6) Mentioned Jer. 31:31 - 34 as being fulfilled 7) He never offered a New Covenant to anyone 8) He never invited anyone to enter into it 9) The mention of it in some later manuscripts, of the Gospels, was not to the "House of Judah, or the House of Israel the only legal recipients of it. The teaching about the "New Covenant" allegedly being already upon us, primarily comes from Paul. From the Book of Hebrews alleged from Paul, but it is a book of which we do not know the author. Paul also mentions it in the Book of 1 Corinthians.. So to summarize: The words "New Covenant" were never used in the Gospels or the Book of Acts. HE never (after examining the texts one will see that) spoke of the "New Covenant" at anytime in His lifetime nor thereafter. Why in his 30+ years of life, and 3 1/2 years of ministry NEVER discussed the "New Covenant"? The 12 Apostles never spoke of the "New Covenant" before or after Messiah's death and resurrection. None of the 12 Apostles ever discussed the "New Covenant" in a 1) Sermon 2) Parable 3) Discussed it privately 4) Discussed it publicly 5) Asked each other about it 6) Mentioned Jer. 31:31 - 34 as being fulfilled 7) They never offered a New Covenant to anyone 8) They never invited anyone to enter into it Because HE never spoke of it. If He had, then they were DISOBEDIENT to His command to "teach whatsoever I commanded" Matt. 28:20. We have been infected with Catholic and Protestant theology, by their scribes changing the texts which I will show through links to the Greek text. For us to continue to teach that He taught and brought in the New Covenant, something that He did not, to insist that He brought in the "New Covenant" offering it to Israel and Judah, and the gentiles, when He did not, those teaching such "False Witnesses" and are leading others into accepting error. We are told to Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.. As all can see, the Greek text of Matthew & Mark below in the interlinear and lexicon, does not contain the word "New" before the word "Covenant". This is why NONE OF THE 12 Apostles ever mentioned the New Covenant in the book of Acts. None of the new believers ever were told that they were in the "New Covenant". Shouldn't the Apostles have been declaring the arrival of the "New Covenant" on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to Cornelius? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to Paul when he was baptized, by Ananias? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to the Ethiopian by Philip? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to the Jewish High Priest and Agrippa by Paul, late in the book of Acts? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to the Jews in the Synagogues, by Paul, throughout the book of Acts? Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" have been declared to Paul when he was baptized? The Messiah and began His ministry discussing the Kingdom. Messiah in His last words were about the Kingdom. Book of Acts opens with and closes with the discussion of the KINGDOM. Why don't we hear more about the coming Kingdom of the Most High? * * * * * * In James 1:1, he writes to the 12 Tribes and NEVER tells them that the "New Covenant" had arrived! So is this some type of "Secret New Covenant" that no one was told had arrived???? 1) THE GOSPEL OF Matthew, does not contain the words "New Covenant" Matthew 26:28 biblehub.com/interlinear/matthew/26-28.htm 2) THE GOSPEL OF Mark does not contain the words "New Covenant" Mark 14:24 - Greek Lexicon biblehub.com/text/mark/14-24.htm Mark 14:24 - Greek Interlinear biblehub.com/interlinear/mark/14-24.htm 3) The words "New Covenant" occur only in Luke 19, and it was interpolated there into the text. 4) The words "New Covenant" do not occur in the Gospel of John. 5) The words "New Covenant" do not occur in the Book of Acts. The New Covenant is YET FUTURE, when it is offered to the HOUSE of Israel and Judah the legal recipients of this Covenant! That will occur when Ezekiel 37 takes place: The Valley of Dry Bones 1The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they werevery dry. 3And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. 4Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there wasno breath in them. 9Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. The Vision Explained 11Then he said unto me, Son of man, *****these bones are the whole house of Israel***** behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. 12Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.13And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD. During Messiah's day the whole house of Israel was not present in Israel to even accept a New Covenant.... Judah killed Him, the other tribes of Israel were still LOST.... You cannot have a marriage, contract or any other agreement unless ALL PARTIES ARE PRESENT... Even to this date in 2024, Israel nor Judah have accepted a New Covenant with Him.... So the first covenant" has not yet passed away" "growing old", but not passed away. The keeping of the Sabbath therefore remains, especially since JESUS NEVER COMMANDED THAT SUNDAY BE KEPT AND SABBATH BE ABANDONED.

In Biblical times, important covenants were sealed with the shedding of blood, the more important the covenant, the more costly the animal slaughtered. In Jesus’ covenant case, Jesus Himself was the sacrifice that would seal the new covenant between God and mankind. If we go to to the old covenant in the Bible there is no provision for the Blood of Jesus to atone for the sins of Israel. Human sacrifice is strictly prohibited in that covenant and Deuteronomy 24:16 excludes anyone including Jesus from dying for the sins of others. Jesus never claimed that His blood would replace the animal sacrifices in the old covenant.

@@FIJIApologist-ab1cd Just WHERE are you supposedly reading that God mad a covenant with MANKIND??? The New Covenant is promised to be made with the "House of Israel and the House of Judah" written in Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the ***house of Israel and with the house of Judah*** & Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a ***new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah***: So apologize for your false statement. @@FIJIApologist-ab1cd Your statement above makes no sense. What text are you using, which prophesied the Covenant you are supposedly under? The Jer. 31:31 - 34 New Covenant was prophecied to be made with the ***House of Israel and the House of Judah.*** It will be fulfilled with those two Houses, as Jeremiah stated, or the prophet and God lied. I asked you before 1) to show when this New Covenant in which you believe was inaugurated. When did any accept a New Covenant with Jesus/Yahshua? Book chapter and verse please. The Covenant when in inaugurated we read in Jer. 31:34 "No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because ***they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest*** declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”… This time has not arrived as yet. We are to not to add to His words: Proverbs 30:5-6 "Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and ***you be found a LIAR*** He states in Psalms 89:34 "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips" So He has stated that the New Covenant will be exclusively with the House of Israel and the House of Judah. Jer. 31 & Heb. 8. That He will not change or alter His covenant. So it is best that you revise your false teaching and acknowledge that what He said about to whom He is making His New Covenant has not been altered. I appreciate the example of King Saul. To extrapolate from that this whole theory about the gift, grace, and office of prophet is a bit of a stretch for me and I don’t see how that follows from the text maybe because you’re more on the charismatic side. I saw that you have a video about speaking in tongues as THE initial sign of indwelling so even though this is not an issue to divide over I feel like this charasmatic presupposition may be affecting your logical diligent interpretation of scripture. This is important because encouraging people to prophesy without accountability is dangerous. It’s dangerous to say “God told me” without any caveat There are deceiving spirits that have masqueraded as the holy spirit within the charismatic church and we need to be discerning and not ignorant of the devil’s ways. Most of my home churches have been charismatic so I know y’all are great family in Christ but discernment is more important in today’s age than it ever was before! I think we both agree EGW, Bethel, Copeland or anyone living in the past two millenia doesn’t qualify as a capital P Prophet according to the Deuteronomy test. God Bless

Nothing is wrong with using objects or items in creation to EXPLAIN or understand spiritual things, which is what Jesus often did with his Parables. So to answer your question, no, Jesus wasn’t doing Wizardry. Now back to EGW. As you read in her quote she is giving specific details pertaining to accessing encounters with Jesus that she received from a spiritual guide. I would call that guide a Demon. You would call it an Angel. Paul says that if an Angel comes a says anything other than what He taught (Galatians 1:8). And the famous passage concerning Adding or taking away from the word of God. Many SDA’s aren’t viewing it as a metaphor for faith my friend: here’s an example. “”Do it! Using a shoelace, yarn, or something similar, make your own “green cord.” Keep it where it will help to remind you that any time is a good time to trust in Jesus! Perhaps attach a favorite Bible promise to the cord. Cut a piece of cardboard about seven inches (17.78 centimeters) tall and five inches (12.7 centimeters) wide. Cut a door that can open, leaving about a half-inch “door frame.” (See illustration.) Draw or find a nice picture of Jesus and glue it to the backside of the doorframe. If you wish, you can cut a window in the door to show Jesus’ face. Now, whenever you open the door, Jesus will be waiting for you!”” www.adventistworld.org/the-green-cord-dream/ Towards the end, the article mentions drawing or getting a face of Jesus to place in the door frame …. Doesn’t that go against scripture to not have any graven image of God??? In the occult, cords and knots have a notable history for being used to cast spells. The cord given to Ellen White served that same purpose. Brandi Williams, a Wiccan priestess, in her book Cord Magic, states: What makes the cord itself magical? Partly it’s material. Flax makes a comfortable cord and lightweight fabric, which would be especially welcome if your only alternatives are leather and fur. It’s also partly the color. Dyeing a cord enhances its power.Kasap and his friends wore their magical stones by stringing them on red, black, and white. So if someone asks you why, tell them the idea is at least as old as Babylonians. BRANDY WILLIAMS, CORD MAGIC, PG. 20 This Wiccan priestess explains, not only the ancient pagan roots of cord magic, but that dyed cords function in a particular fashion by adding power to the cord. She continues by explaining the significance of knots as well: “We can tie a knot to make something happen. We can also tie a knot to prvent something from happening. The knot puts the energy on a magical hold, keeping the energy itself locked up within the knot. This magic is used much less frequently than knot wishes because it’s tricky to get the intention right. In chapter 7, we learned that it is important to avoid using negative terms and to instead create intentions as positive outcomes. If you’re thinking about preventing something negative from happening, see if you can find a way to express this as something positive happening instead.” BRANDY WILLIAMS, CORD MAGIC, PG. 171 This is precisely what Ellen’s “guide” told her. The knotting of the green cord would prevent her desire to see Jesus which is why the cord must be straightened and not left to lie dormant and develop knots. Ms. Williams even goes on to explain how one can go about making a cord and performing cord magic themselves. She writes: If you have created a cord to capture these energies, however, you can use this as a charging cord as described below: Choose the intention-It’s a good idea to write out the intention you will twist into the cord in your own words. Chapter 7 has dozens of examples you can customize for your intention. The projects below also have suggestions for intention phrases. Lay out the materials-Choose the colors, measure, and cut the strands. Add any beads you intend to wind into the cord as you make it. Bless the materials-This is an optional step. You can bless the strands and the other items you will use to create the cord. There is a material blessing rite in chapter 9 called “Exercise: Bless the Materials.” If you have already blessed the materials when you assembled your kit, you don’t need to do it again. Place and time energy-If you have created any of the cords listed in chapter 10, “Specific times and Places,” you can add the energy from that cord into the projects in this chapter. It is a charging cord because it charges the new cord with the energy already captured. If the charging cord is long and thin enough, you can simply ass it to the cord you are creating. Speak the intention-Read the intention out loud just before you start the twist. Take a moment to hold the strands and impart your intention into the cord. Twist the cord-The section “Exercise: Twist the Cord” in chapter 2, “Making the Cord,” has detailed instructions on how to do the twist. Remember to knot the ends when you have completed the twist secure it. Complete the cord-As an option, you can add beads and pendants to the cord. Seal the cord-Hold the completed cord in your hand and repeat the intention. Spend a moment visualizing and feeling the result you want. BRANDY WILLIAMS, CORD MAGIC, PG. 234-5 So she explains you “charge” the cord by speaking over it the intention it is to be used for and seal it by repeating the intention and visualizing what you want out of the cord. Nothing about this is biblical and there is no reason for a Christian to believe such a thing is in accordance with the Word of God. God does not work and communicate with people in this manner. This is divination and is strictly forbidden by the Word of God as being abominable (Deuteronomy 18:9-13). God abhorred the paganism and witchcraft of the surrounding nations of Israel and said His people are not to engage in such practices.

@@19818456 Because she included such selections from other authors in her writings, critics have charged Ellen White with plagiarism. 461). See also The Truth about the White Lie.

The evidence against Ellen White as being a false prophet is abundant. So many failed prophecies. So much back pedaling. But I see Adventists grasping at straws constantly in order to defender her. It's unfortunate, but it always reminds me of jesus saying on the matter. Matthew 10:37 - Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Loving a false prophet more than loving the truth and loving a false Church more than the truth; I think the bible is clear, that it is detrimental to your salvation. Any one who genuinely wants the truth; has only to open their heart and ask God to reveal it to them, but .... open your heart to accept the truth. The fact that people are not doing that in light of in this case evidence against their prophet, well, I think you'll be judged on that; because what is reveals is you want what you have, not what is true.

These conclusions are disingenuous to the least of them, because the movement began before EGW had her first vision and even before the church was established in 1863. All her writings could be destroyed today, and our foundations of faith would still stand firm because Christ is our Rock upon which we stand. The Word of God alone is the pedestal upon which we thrive. We search it and it gives us life. This is why we can affirm our beliefs solely from scripture and not have to supplement ANY of it from the traditions of man, or even from “early writings of church fathers”. What’s sad is that SDAs can do their very best to clear our name and yet, because people would like to hold to error, piety, or pride, they’d rather not soften their hearts to even bestow grace of understanding and respect. We are ridiculed and called a “cult”, because we hold fast to what the Bible states. We choose to look through the lenses of life by the way Christ walked, the words He preached and the prophets He sent. And yet, just like the Pharisees and the Israelites of old, they’d rather kill the prophets and uphold their own understandings…not realizing their own error. Not all SDAs are of the flock. The devil is busy within all persuasions of the Body of Christ. However, the body of Christ is One and if we are to truly emulate Christ, we are to do so with respect to one another, in truth, and a pure heart to acknowledge where we are wrong and to make necessary changes. Let us set our own households in order, before we go picking on someone else’s grass. Some people will still read this and say “manipulation! heresy! ulterior motives!” Lol you cannot win for losing. Let us remember these words: “He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.” (Pro 18:17, KJV)…All these videos “exposing SDA theology” seems right to the accuser, however, it is until his neighbor comes and searches him, it is then that his folly is exposed. In the end, God is no respecter of persons. His judgements are just and Amen. Every idle word spoken will be brought before the throne and to be accounted for. Let us be wise to speak carefully, and quick to hear the full conclusion of the matter. “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Mat 12:36-37, KJV) God be with you all. 🙏🏾

If they’re vindicated, sure. Maybe we can start with the following quote from EGW: “Some apply the solemn type, the scapegoat, to Satan. This is not correct. He cannot bear his own sins. At the choosing of Barabbas, Pilate washed his hands. He cannot be represented as the scapegoat. The awful cry, uttered with a hasty, awful recklessness, by the Satan-inspired multitude, swelling louder and louder, reaches up to the throne of God, "His blood be upon us and upon our children." [Matthew 27:25 Christ was the Scapegoat, which the type represents. He alone can be represented by the goat borne into wilderness. He alone, over whom death had not power, was able to bear our sins.) (12LtMs, Ms 112, 1897, par. 47) Several years after her claims that Satan was the scapegoat she shifts her stance and her latest claim is that Jesus was the scapegoat and that her previous stance was “Not Correct.” This raise many problems. Firstly as the “Spirit of Prophecy” and someone that claims to be more than a prophet why is she speaking out of both sides of her mouth? If God is truly the one speaking out of her there should be ZERO contradictions. Secondly: She rightfully states that Jesus is the scapegoat which completely undermines the great controversy theme. Also, for those who aren’t aware, Ellen G White was a serial plagiarist and derived “The Great Controversy theme” from a book entitled “Paradise lost” by John Milton ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WQu-rZXqO_k.htmlsi=0e_RSOp9VG2cpzji Listen to this summary of the book and tell me if it sounds familiar. It’s either this author was more than a prophet aswell, or we have yet another case on EGW Copying other authors and illustrators and claiming the works as her own. Paradise lost was published: 1667 The Great Controversy was published: 1858 With this evidence, you decide. My stance after assessing claims from both sides is that EGW was a False Prophet, and has lead millions astray and will be judged for her lies.

Thank you for your comment and for engaging in this discussion. While it is true that the Millerite movement, which anticipated the return of Jesus Christ, began prior to Ellen G. White's first vision, it's essential to understand the historical context and developments that led to the formation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. William Miller did indeed lead the Millerite movement, predicting Jesus' return on several occasions, with the most notable failure occurring in October 1844, an event now known as the Great Disappointment. Following this significant disappointment, the movement faced severe disbandment. Many followers, disillusioned and heartbroken, abandoned the movement altogether, with some even returning to their previous denominations or, tragically, taking their own lives. In the aftermath, a small group of Millerites, often referred to as the "Little Flock," persisted in their faith and search for understanding. Ellen G. White emerged as a pivotal figure within this remnant group. Her visions and teachings played a crucial role in shaping the theological framework and doctrines that eventually formed the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Thus, while the initial spark of the movement can be attributed to William Miller, the foundation and growth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church as it exists today are significantly rooted in Ellen G. White's teachings and prophetic guidance. Her influence is so profound that she is explicitly mentioned in the church's fundamental beliefs, specifically in statement number 18, underscoring her importance to the denomination. Therefore, my statement that the Seventh-day Adventist Church was founded on Ellen G. White is not false. Although the movement began with Miller, it was White's visions and doctrinal contributions that solidified the church's identity and growth after the Great Disappointment and IS the bedrock of the SDA Church which was birthed AFTER her first vision. Thank you for allowing me to clarify this point.

As the mouthpiece of God, I’d assume God would be more original in His communication. And don’t try to bring up Paul referencing Pagan Authors, because he only did it once, and it wasn’t a word for word copy & past, just a brief reference and he even acknowledged that it was a reference. Well for starters on the EGW plagiarist claim, you either did not acknowledge or chose not to look into the fact that EGW was cleared of all accusations when it comes to plagiarism by law in September 17, 1981. An expert attorney by the name of Vincent L. Ramik who specializes in copyright infringement, patent and of literary theft. Ramik took the time and due diligence and spent more than 300 hours in researching more than 1,000 cases in American literary law (1790-1915). After his investigation, he drafted a 27-page legal statement, in which he concluded that EGW was not guilty either of copyright infringement or of literary theft. Now before anyone says he must’ve been SDA, therefore it was “biased”, it is important to note that he was not an SDA, but a Roman Catholic, therefore he went into this unbiased and examined all the evidence. So make sure you are very sure and comfortable when making outlandish claims. Casting “judgement” accusations on people, without first doing thorough research, opens you up to being deceived by error 😨. The Bible tells us that God will bring every idle word into judgement (Matt 12:36-37). You will have to give an account to these claims, as for all of us, because at the end of the day God ultimately has the final say. Many of us will be very shocked and surprised who makes it to heaven vs who’s not. The simple fact that EGW has been vindicated by law on her copyright claims proves the point that people will still choose to believe a false theory, even when truth is staring them dead in their face. You also neglect to mention all the people that EGW did lead to Christ, even to the point the attorney Ramik, in this case came to realization that he needed to read his Bible more. Here are the links below. A simple google search would’ve told you this claim about her copyrighting anything was already proven false. www.ellenwhiteanswers.org/answers/plagiarism/ m.egwwritings.org/en/book/762.35#38

In a nutshell, you are listing to falsehoods or making up falsehoods. This is the case of the well that was dug. There were no water sticks. Now even if for example you had lived in that time that was just really discovering electricity you likely would have hired a regular well guy. People called electricity which craft and they were clearly wrong. There were other individuals that talked about it and later said that it should not be used, but Ellen White never said anything specifically. Nonetheless here is the time you were talking about. While in Southern California I spent three weeks at San Diego in the new sanitarium (hospital) in Paradise Valley, which is soon to be opened for the reception of patients. The lack of water was the only thing against the use of this place for sanitarium purposes. I am glad to be able to tell you that an abundant supply of soft, pure water has been obtained. A well ninety-five feet deep has been dug on the lower part of the sanitarium land. When the workmen had gone down about eighty feet they found some water, and they went on digging through the clay to the gravel below. One morning Brother Palmer came to my room, his face full of joy, to tell me that a stream of water as big as his hand was running into the well. The next morning there was fourteen feet of water in the well. We all rejoiced to know that an abundance of water was now a certainty. This well is a treasure of more value than gold or silver or precious stones. After leaving San Diego, we spent several days at the Glendale Sanitarium, eight miles from Los Angeles. We found the house filled with painters, plumbers, and carpenters. Preparations for the opening of the building were being hastened forward. I rejoice to think that these two sanitariums will soon be opened. I have felt a great burden for the advancement of sanitarium work in Southern California. I borrowed money to invest in the San Diego property, that it might be secured. I would be glad to see a large work developed in Redlands. This is a most beautiful city, and additional efforts must be put forth there. Brother E. S. Ballenger lives there, and we spent several days with him and his wife at their home. I was able to speak to our people in Redlands on Sabbath morning. I spoke in the tasteful little church building that was built last spring, and as I stood in it, I was in anticipation making an addition to it. If Redlands is worked as it should be, a larger church building will be required. And I wish that a small sanitarium could be started there.

I can feel how sincere you are. From what I remember, I don’t think you believe in the 7th day Sabbath, my husband and I came from non-denominational Sunday churches after we came to Christ and went through studying the Sabbath topic for about a year in depth, we concluded and believe that new covenant Christians should keep the biblical 7th day Sabbath (not feast day sabbaths) from the creation week. (We are not SDA or of any denomination) we just follow the Bible and seek to be as Christ and lead others to Him and out of false doctrine. Christ custom was resting and having church on the Sabbath, so was Paul’s, there’s no commandment stating Sunday as the new Sabbath or transference, so we will keep the Sabbath, it has been such a huge blessing! We are vegetarians, seeking to preserve our bodies - the temple of the Holy Spirit and take in closer to the original diet God gave to mankind in the beginning. However, we do believe that eating meat is acceptable and fine and we ought not to judge. Although, we also believe there are meats God did not qualify as permissible for consumption, rather for other purposes such as cleaning up the environment. - there has been medical/ scientifical studies we have seen that confirm the foods He prohibits are in fact harmful to the body for various reasons, thus being why He has commanded us not to eat them. And referring to the scriptures on all creatures are okay to eat, then we can be cannibal if that is taken too far out of context. We obviously cannot eat all creatures or other humans. We do believe there is a cap on what is permissible as far as meat consumption- that has been established prior and we believe that still remains. We don’t believe that God will rapture the church before the tribulation but rather we are to endure unto the end and He will come after. A few others I don’t remember off the top of my head but I hope that satisfies your curiosity haha. Thanks so much again!

What did Ellen White say about the pre-existence of Christ? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? What did she believe about the gospel? “The Lord Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, existed from eternity, a distinct person, yet one with the Father. He was the surpassing glory of heaven. He was the commander of the heavenly intelligences, and the adoring homage of the angels was received by him as his right. This was no robbery of God.” “Here Christ shows them that, although they might reckon His life to be less than fifty years, yet His divine life could not be reckoned by human computation. The existence of Christ before His incarnation is not measured by figures.” “From all eternity Christ was united with the Father, and when He took upon Himself human nature, He was still one with God.” But while God's Word speaks of the humanity of Christ when upon this earth, it also speaks decidedly regarding his preexistence. The Word existed as a divine being, even as the eternal Son of God, in union and oneness with his Father. From everlasting he was the Mediator of the covenant, the one in whom all nations of the earth, both Jews and Gentiles, if they accepted him, were to be blessed. ‘The Word was with God, and the Word was God.’ Before men or angels were created, the Word was with God, and was God. “Christ was God essentially, and in the highest sense. He was with God from all eternity, God over all, blessed forevermore.” “From the days of eternity the Lord Jesus Christ was one with the Father; He was “the image of God,” the image of His greatness and majesty, ‘the outshining of His glory.’” “The name of God, given to Moses to express the idea of the eternal presence, had been claimed as His own by this Galilean Rabbi. He had announced Himself to be the self-existent One, He who had been promised to Israel, ‘whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.’ Micah 5:2” “There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ.” “The Godhead was stirred with pity for the race, and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit gave themselves to the working out of the plan of redemption.” “Those who proclaim the third angel's message must put on the whole armor of God, that they may stand boldly at their post, in the face of detraction and falsehood, fighting the good fight of faith, resisting the enemy with the word, “It is written.” Keep yourselves where the three great powers of heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, can be your efficiency. These powers work with the one who gives himself unreservedly to God. The strength of heaven is at the command of God's believing ones. The man who takes God as his trust is barricaded by an impregnable wall.” “Our sanctification is the work of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is the fulfilment of the covenant that God has made with those who bind themselves up with Him, to stand with Him, with His Son, and with His Spirit in holy fellowship. Have you been born again? Have you become a new being in Christ Jesus? Then co-operate with the three great powers of heaven who are working in your behalf. Doing this you will reveal to the world the principles of righteousness.” “Those who are baptized in the threefold name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, at the very entrance of their Christian life declare publicly that they have forsaken the service of Satan and have become members of the royal family, children of the heavenly King.” “The Holy Spirit is a person, for He beareth witness with our spirits that we are the children of God. When this witness is borne, it carries with it its own evidence. At such times we believe and are sure that we are the children of God.” “The Sacrifice of Christ as an atonement for sin is the great truth around which all other truths cluster. In order to be rightly understood and appreciated, every truth in the Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, must be studied in the light that streams from the cross of Calvary. I present before you the great, grand monument of mercy and regeneration, salvation and redemption,-the Son of God uplifted on the cross. This is to be the foundation of every discourse given by our ministers.” “The cross of Calvary challenges, and will finally vanquish every earthly and hellish power. In the cross all influence centers, and from it all influence goes forth. It is the great center of attraction; for on it Christ gave up His life for the human race. This sacrifice was offered for the purpose of restoring man to his original perfection; yea, more. It was offered to give him an entire transformation of character, making him more than a conqueror.” “Never should a sermon be preached, or Bible instruction in any line be given, without pointing the hearers to “the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. Every true doctrine makes Christ the center, every precept receives force from His words.” “No discourse should ever be presented without presenting Christ and Him crucified as the foundation of the gospel.” “The study of the incarnation of Christ, His atoning sacrifice, and mediatorial work, will employ the mind of the diligent student as long as time shall last.” “On the cross of Calvary, Christ made a full and complete atonement for the fallen race. He died because of our sin. This was the only way in which we could be pardoned. Holiness is the fruit of Christ’s infinite sacrifice in our behalf. It was not for His friends, but for His enemies, that Christ made this sacrifice, for those who He declared would not come to Him that they might have life, for those who chose earthly pleasures and earthly riches. He longs to save those who have given themselves up to the world. He calls upon them to choose His service, to give themselves wholly into His control, to wear His yoke, and learn of Him how to be meek and lowly, how to do God’s will. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; but made himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” “Jesus is our atoning sacrifice. We can make no atonement for ourselves; but by faith we can accept the atonement that has been made. ‘For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.’ ‘Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, ...but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.’ No man of earth, no angel of heaven, could have paid the penalty for sin. Jesus was the only one who could save rebellious man. In Him divinity and humanity are combined, and this was what gave efficacy to the offering on Calvary's cross. At the cross, mercy and truth met together; righteousness and peace kissed each other.” “If the cross does not find an influence in its favor, it creates an influence. Through generation succeeding generation, the truth for this time is revealed as present truth. Christ on the cross was the medium whereby mercy and truth met together, and righteousness and peace kissed each other. This is the means that is to move the world.”

No one can lose their salvation, but it can be forfeited. One can decide to turn away from Christ and reject Him: 1. Hebrews 6:4-6: “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” 2. Hebrews 10:26-27: “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” 3. 2 Peter 2:20-22: “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” 4. Matthew 24:13: “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” 5. 1 Corinthians 9:27: “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 6. Revelation 3:5: “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Very wrong my friend. They can lie, misrepresent, name call, and slander, but that will never change the reality: Jesus Christ is the eternal God part of the Trinity, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savoir, I am saved and justified by faith in Christ atoning blood, I am sanctified by the Spirit, the Bible and the Bible only is my rule of faith by which every doctrine and individual is tested including Ellen White, God's moral law has never changed, the seventh day Sabbath is validated by the full authority of the scriptures, there is a Judgement before the second coming in which God will judge every work "with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil", humans are not immortal and the righteous will receive immortality at the second coming, the righteous dead are sleeping in their graves awaiting the resurrection at Christ second coming, and daily I must "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ". This is what makes me a Seventh Day Adventist.

As a former SDA, that is not true, they do not claim that if you eat meat u will not be allowed into the Kingdom, there are many SDA who do eat meat. Their health message is about taking care of the temple of the Most High, a lot of protestants attack this doctrine of eating clean foods because they want to justify that its okay to eat pork, when it is not. Then protestants go on and misinterpret Acts 10:9-16, Saying that Messiah made all foods clean, yet if you read the whole chapter its about preaching the gospel to the gentiles. If you read your bible, you would know that the gentiles were considered uncircumcised or unclean, why gentiles were not allowed to eat the passover meal.

Here’s an excerpt from Answering Adventism: The Adventist Church’s message of health reform began with a supposed vision that their prophetess, Ellen G. White, had on June 6, 1863 in Otsego, Minnesota. It is said to be the “right hand of the Gospel” in Seventh-Day Adventism. Ellen White, who the SDA church believes was divinely inspired and corrects inaccurate interpretations of scripture, claimed to have been shown many things by God, of prime importance was that Christian’s have a responsibility to live in harmony with health principles that would prevent illness and yield good health. This included the discarding of all animal products, flesh foods, alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee, condiments, and spices, because these things are injurious to ones body and soul. This then evolved to being a prerequisite for all Christians if they wanted to be fit for Heaven. She also claimed that those who are waiting for the return of Christ would eventually completely do away with meat eating. On top of that, she also claimed that anyone who rejected this message of Health Reform was also rejecting God. It isn’t optional because it is a part of salvation in Adventism. egwwritings.org/read?index=0&panels=p116.2276 egwwritings.org/read?index=0&panels=p20.2352 egwwritings.org/read?index=0&panels=p352.141 Here she claims it’s for salvation egwwritings.org/read?panels=p117.736&index=0

@asunibobb
@asunibobb 3 месяца назад
1. Hebrews 6:4-6 Context:The book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were under pressure to revert to Judaism. The author emphasizes the superiority of Christ over the old covenant and the importance of steadfast faith. Explanation: - Verses 4-5: These verses describe individuals who have had profound spiritual experiences: enlightenment, tasting the heavenly gift, partaking in the Holy Spirit, and experiencing the Word of God and powers of the coming age. - Verse 6:The critical point is that if these individuals "fall away," it is impossible to renew them to repentance. This falling away refers to a total renunciation of faith in Christ. By doing so, they are essentially crucifying the Son of God all over again and holding Him up to public disgrace. The passage clearly indicates that falling away from faith leads to a state where repentance is no longer possible, showing that salvation can be lost through apostasy. 2. Hebrews 10:26-27 Context: This passage warns believers against deliberate and continued sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth. Explanation: - Verse 26: It addresses willful sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, meaning continued, deliberate sin by someone who knows better. - Verse 27: The result of such deliberate sin is a fearful expectation of judgment and a raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. This indicates that there is no sacrifice left to cover these sins, emphasizing that such willful rebellion leads to judgment, not continued security in salvation. This passage challenges the idea that one's salvation is secure regardless of their actions post-conversion. 3. 2 Peter 2:20-22 Context: Peter writes about false teachers and the dangers they pose to believers. He warns against turning back to sin after knowing the way of righteousness. Explanation: - Verses 20-21: Peter describes people who have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing Jesus Christ but then become entangled in it again. Their latter state is worse than the first, implying greater condemnation for those who fall away after knowing the truth. - Verse 22: The proverb about a dog returning to its vomit and a sow to its mire illustrates the grievous nature of turning back to a sinful life after being cleansed. This strongly suggests that a return to sin after knowing Christ leads to a worse state, refuting the idea that salvation cannot be lost. 4. Matthew 24:13 Context: Jesus is speaking to His disciples about the end times, urging them to remain faithful despite the coming tribulations. Explanation: - Verse 13: Jesus states, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." This emphasizes the necessity of perseverance. Salvation is promised to those who endure to the end, implying that ongoing faith and endurance are required. This verse implies that failing to endure can result in the loss of salvation. 5. 1 Corinthians 9:27 Context: Paul discusses his approach to ministry, using athletic metaphors to describe his self-discipline and effort to remain faithful. Explanation: - Verse 27: Paul says he disciplines his body and makes it his slave so that after preaching to others, he will not be disqualified. The term "disqualified" implies the possibility of failing to attain the prize, which in the context of Christian faith, can be understood as losing salvation. This indicates that even Paul saw the need for continued discipline and faithfulness to avoid disqualification, opposing the idea that salvation is irrevocable. 6. Revelation 3:5 Context: Jesus addresses the church in Sardis, encouraging them to wake up and strengthen what remains. Explanation: - Verse 5: Jesus promises that those who overcome will be clothed in white garments and will not have their names blotted out from the book of life. This implies that names can be blotted out, suggesting that salvation is not guaranteed regardless of one's actions. The promise is conditional on overcoming, which means that failing to overcome could lead to losing one’s place in the book of life, thereby losing salvation. These verses collectively demonstrate that salvation requires ongoing faith, endurance, and faithfulness. They warn against apostasy, deliberate sin, and turning back to a sinful life after knowing the truth. Each passage refutes the "once saved, always saved" doctrine by highlighting the possibility of falling away and losing salvation, thereby emphasizing the necessity of persevering in faith to the end.

Those who use flesh foods little know what they are eating. Often if they could see the animals when living, and know the quality of the meat they eat, they would turn from it with loathing. People are continually eating flesh that is filled with tuberculosis and cancerous germs. Tuberculosis, cancer, and other fatal diseases are thus communicated.PHJ September 1, 1905, par. 2 I may have accidentally mixed these two points. Nevertheless, her claims are still inaccurate in both claims. Tuberculosis (TB) is not caused by eating, but it can be transmitted by food handlers to other workers. TB is caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which spreads through the air when people with TB in their lungs or throat cough, sneeze, talk, or sing. People can become infected by breathing in the germs, but TB is not spread by sharing food or drink, touching, or kissing.

Your claim that Paul only did it “once” is not accurate. Not when Paul quoted Aratus, Menander, Epimenides. But, it’s obvious that Paul did not quote them for the purpose of supporting them. When instead, he quoted them here and there to aid in means of defending and spreading the gospel. But, you can’t ignore the fact that for Paul to have done this, he would have had to study their teachings. So let’s not hide under the umbrella that it was “once, so it’s okay”, you’re extending grace to Paul but not to EGW. Let’s take a look at the times he did. Paul quoted Menander in the book of Acts and in 1 Corinthians. He quoted Epimenides in the book of Titus. Let’s take a look. Acts 17:28, “for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.'” “The first half of the fifth line, word for word, of an astronomical poem of Aratus, a Greek countryman of the apostle, and his predecessor by about three centuries.”1 Paul quoted “the first half of the fifth line, word for word, of an astronomical poem of Aratus, a Greek countryman of the apostle, and his predecessor by about three centuries. But, as he hints, the same sentiment is to be found in other Greek poets. They meant it doubtless in a pantheistic sense; but the truth which it expresses the apostle turns to his own purpose-to teach a pure, personal, spiritual Theism.”2 1 Cor. 15:33, “Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.’” “a current saying, forming a verse in MENANDER, the comic poet, who probably took it from Euripides [SOCRATES, Ecclesiastical History, 3.16].”3 “The words “Bad company ruins good morals” are found in a play by Menander (4th-3rd century B. C.) but may well have become a common saying by Paul’s time.”4 “Evil communications corrupt good manners. An iambic line from the ‘Thais’ of Menander, and perhaps taken by Menander from a play of Euripides. More accurately it means “evil associations corrupt excellent morals.”5 Titus 1:12, “One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” “Epimenides of Phaestus, or Gnossus, in Crete, about 600. He was sent for to purify Athens from its pollution occasioned by Cylon. He was regarded as a diviner and prophet. The words here are taken probably from his treatise “concerning oracles.” Paul also quotes from two other heathen writers, ARATUS (Ac 17:28) and MENANDER (1 Co 15:33), but he does not honor them so far as even to mention their names.6 “A prophet of their own; viz. Epimenides, a native either of Phæstus or of Cnossus in Crete, the original author of this line, which is also quoted by Callimachus. Epimenides is here called a prophet, not simply as a poet, but from his peculiar character as priest, bard, and seer; called by Plato θεῖος ἀνήρ and coupled by Cicero with Bacis the Boeotian prophet, and the sibyl (Bishop Ellicott); described by other ancient writers as a prophet (Alford).”7 carm.org/defending-the-faith/did-paul-quote-pagan-philosophers/ Please stay consistent. 😌

 2 She never wrote one sentence of heresy

 3 Her writings are one straight chain of truth

 4 The words in her books are “barricaded by a thus saith the Lord”

 5 Rejecting her writings is the first step to eventually rejecting the Bible outright

 6 It is Satan’s plan to lessen the confidence in her writings and those that do will eventually doubt scripture and lead to perdition

 7 To go against her writings, which are not merely her opinion, is to insult the Spirit of God because the Lord himself has manifested in her writings

 8 If you lessen the confidence of people in her writings, you are rebelling against God as sure as Korah, Dathan and Abiram did and you’ll be accountable for doing such

 9 God has outlined his plan in both the Bible and her writings where He is speaking

 10 She took the Bible and wrapped it with her writings and God gave them to allow one to understand the Bible

 11 There has never been a time where God has instructed people more earnestly than through her writings

 12 Her books make clear the present duty of man that God would have them listen and obey

 13 The Spirit of God worked upon her mind to give her the words to write

 14 It is God, not an erring mortal, that is speaking through her writings-seeking to saving one from ruin

Context from Hebrews 4: Hebrews 4 discusses the concept of rest, linking it to the Sabbath rest and the rest promised to believers in Christ. The chapter draws on the Old Testament context of God’s rest after creation and the Israelites’ journey to the Promised Land, emphasizing the importance of entering God’s rest through faith. Key Verses: 1. Hebrews 4:3-4: • “For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, ‘As I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter my rest,’ although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: ‘And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.’” 2. Hebrews 4:6-10: • “Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, again he appoints a certain day, ‘Today,’ saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.” Interpretation: • The passage in Hebrews 4 does not explicitly state that Jesus or the apostles instructed believers to stop observing the Sabbath and to keep Sunday instead. • The emphasis is on entering God’s rest, which is a spiritual rest and fulfillment found in Christ. The concept of “another day” mentioned in the text indicates that the rest promised by God is not limited to a specific day of the week but is a continual, spiritual rest. • The early Christian practice of gathering on the first day of the week (Sunday) is rooted in the resurrection of Jesus, as shown in the New Testament (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, and Revelation 1:10). This practice evolved as a way to honor the resurrection and the new life it brings, rather than a direct command to replace the Sabbath. While Jesus did not explicitly command a change from Sabbath to Sunday, the shift in practice among early Christians reflects the new covenant and the significance of Jesus’ resurrection. The New Testament emphasizes the spiritual rest and fulfillment found in Christ, which transcends the specific observance of a particular day. The choice to gather and worship on Sunday is rooted in the early church’s desire to honor the resurrection, rather than a redefinition of the Sabbath commandment. Also, I challenge you to do the same. Show me ONE instance in the New Testament where Jesus Himself tells us to observe the 7th day Sabbath. You can’t. If observing the sabbath the way the Jews did was necessary in the new covenant, then Jesus should have made that clear. So I’ll wait for you to give me that verse. Also, as I shared before and in other threads, Paul gathered with believers on Saturday (amongst the Jews) and Sunday (amongst Gentiles). He also tells us that the day doesn’t matter. Why? Because we fulfill the sabbath command by being in Christ. Ps: Don’t forget my challenge… I’m waiting 😁

Here’s the quote from EGW where she describes speaking with her deceased husband: “"A few days since I was pleading with the Lord for light in regard to my duty. In the night I dreamed I was in the carriage, driving, sitting at the right hand. Father was in the carriage, seated at my left hand. He was very pale, but calm and composed. 'Why, Father,' I exclaimed, 'I am so happy to have you by my side once more! I have felt that half of me was gone. Father, I saw you die; I saw you buried. Has the Lord pitied me and let you come back to me again, and we work together as we used to?' "He looked very sad. He said, 'The Lord knows what is best for you and for me. My work was very dear to me. We have made a mistake. We have responded to urgent invitations of our brethren to attend important meetings. We had not the heart to refuse. These meetings have worn us both more than we were aware. Our good brethren were gratified, but they did not realize that in these meetings we took upon us greater burdens than at our age we could safely carry. They will never know the result of this long-continued strain upon us. "'God would have had them bear the burdens we have carried for years. Our nervous energies have been continuously taxed, and then our brethren misjudging our motives and not realizing our burdens have weakened the action of the heart. I have made mistakes, the greatest of which was in allowing my sympathies for the people of God to lead me to take work upon me which others should have borne."”

@@PatrikMolinaDo research, heretic. Spooky Ellen proclaimed she was interacting with her dead husband. The same husband that used her to make money. It’s not a secret Ellen wrote about speaking to James after the heretic died.

@@asunibobb you read SDA source materials"...the haters are going to hate. Just by what you post shows that you don't actually read the Bible and that you dont read Mrs. WHITES writings. Read the Bible then compare it to Mrs. Whites writings. She does not go against the Bible. In fact she points people to the Bible. Although she wishes that people like you wouldn't read her writings because you twist what she is saying. A lot of her writings are letters written to a certain person that had nothing to do with you or I. She gave good practical advise. Do you even know why Desire or Ages and Steps to Christ was written? Do you even know one of her last statements was focus on Jesus. You would gain the same understanding as Mrs. White if you actually read your Bible and spent as much time in Bible study as Mrs. White. Whatever you are looking for you will find. If you are looking to attack the Adventist church you will find what you are looking for... stop taking the name Adventist and using it for your advantage. The Adventist church doesn't make anyone stay Adventist. Leave. But leave gracefully without attacking the Church. The church isn't wrong. There might be bad apples in the church but God Will take care of the bad apples. God's church will move forward even with people like you attacking His church. Let the wheat and the tares grow together... And if you actually read Mrs. Whites readings you wouldn't be posting the trash you are posting. Start of with Steps to Christ. Let me point out that Steps to Christ is also used by other religions. It is a well written book that focuses on Jesus 100% . Say what you want but anyone who reads Mrs. Whites writings will know that she was inspired by God. Spend a day or even a few hours with the Bible and compare it to EGW writings. You attack God's messenger and God will deal with you accordingly. God doesn't like to be mocked.

@@BHKM6482 I’ve read the Bible in it’s entirety several times. Many of the conclusions she draws are absent from scripture, but very present in the non-canonical books she plagiarized from. For example, did you know that EGW’s “Great Controversy” was taken from the book “Paradise Lost?” Go on RU-vid and watch a summary of that book that predates the writing of EGW and you’d probably think she wrote that book too. There are many other examples of her plagiarism but I think this would be a great place to start. I have 2 videos on my channel clearly detailing the errors of EGW from SDA SOURCES. I’m not quite sure what the issue is, am you just don’t want to believe what is right before your eyes. As I said, provide 1 thing that I got “wrong” and we could discuss that further.

@asunibobb You missed the boat badly. First, there is no reason why Ellen White could not use the ideas of others in expressing the thoughts she wished to convey. Second, as for John Milton, the book provides no evidence to substantiate the claim.. Scholarly studies have noted some similar thoughts but no literary dependence. In 1858, after hearing Ellen White give an account of her vision of the great controversy, J. N. Andrews asked her if she had read Milton’s epic. She assured him she had not. J. N. Andrews later wrote and believed that Ellen White’s writings were inspired by God. As well, about 300 hours went into reviewing the copyright scene from 1790 to 1915, and has studied carefully the definitions of plagiarism, has examined Ellen White’s use of sources. “Ellen G. White was not a plagiarist and her works did not constitute copyright infringement/piracy." Ellen White’s writings agree with the Bible; they lift up Jesus Christ as our Saviour, our substitute and example. You could learn from Mrs. White’s message. Instead, you waste your time attacking others when you could be spending your time telling others about Jesus-lift up Jesus Christ as our Saviour... Besides, how do you know Milton was original with the predecessor-how do you know he did not get it from someone else who,in turn, got it from still another earlier someone else? Didn't Solomon say, “There is no new thing under the sun”?
