This is a big reason I love Halo. The idea of ancients, the unknowns of space, and the mystery of our full history. Theres so many possibilities out there, but I always thought it was cool that Halo could be one of them or something like it. Installation 00 and I were discussing what Reclaimers were, we came to the conclusion that All humans are reclaimers, but it doesnt actually mean anything. Just another way for the forerunners to force their will on the galaxy and get their way. The stuff about that roman astrological sign thing, and stonehenge being given to us by them adds up to it so well

However this theory in real life is really the worst. I get we want there to be more out there than our selves , but it over shadows how far humanity has gotten as a species. To me the society of the ancients were barking up the wrong tree but had the right area. They were absolutely on the money about the forerunners existing and such and such via the symbol and what not. But they took too much evidence with them like our monuments that were all constructed after the halo rings being fired. So the forerunners or any other ancient race couldn’t have helped them but this could be explained through imprinting or such and such. They were right on some things but wrong about much of others and I almost prefer that to them just being completely right because it adds more gray to their cause. I like to imagine that they’re at the CIA or ONI base being interrogated and they’re like “OMG I was right about everything!!” And ONI is like “uhhhh no god no. Like you weee 5% was right but that’s 5% too much”

If you actually read the comments and responded youd see ive tried to reach over several times to send you a digital copy of it. Jumping into the Ancient Aliens arena is just painful. Sure there are plenty of mystery out there, but more often than not the Ancient Aliens type of story ends up being not only the worse version, but often just flat wrong. The main issue with the Ancient Aliens type thinking hinges around our modern stupidity projecting that into the past. There is nothing really saying that AA didn't happen, but there is generally plenty of evidence that shows that many buildings in question were built by humans using their own ingenuity. Probably the most damning version of AA type thinking being not only wrong, but completely missing the barn, is Lovelocke Cave. There is nothing saying that the Paiuute(sp) story about a battle with giants was false. The main problem is the artifacts found actually inside the cave told a story that was completely unrelated to the classic AA version, and those artifacts were around 3000 years old or more. A vast chunk of the Nevada desert at that point was actually a giant lake. Source-- MiniMinuteman channel.

Edit: im halfway through your video about the Cortana letters and it got me thinking, a lot of us never got to experience the early days of Halo lore in person, hell, i think i was in pre-k, i like the idea of no nonsense, heavy on the atmosphere content to allow us, for 30 minutes or so, to get to experience things gone past in their full glory.

There was a video that I saw many years ago, in the time before RU-vid in the distant year of 2004. It was a video about how Halo took over the world and became a global cult and eventually caused the fall of human civilization. It was called Halogeddon or something like that.
