Always knew he had the goods great to have him back, and we haven't lost nothing with Reiko in the centre spot, I think we have one wing position ticked off. forget him playing at fullback when Gordie been great there too. We can pump more attacking players into this team, with Beauden Barrett playing well also. Aaron Smith main half-back, and Damian/Richie doing the deeds at 10. Only my opinion and still Shaun Stevenson lingers in the back waiting. Narawa leading the chase for the other wing, Talea decided to play in the forward and do the grunt work taking it up the middle, did not stake his claim on the wing. still up for grabs. Having said that he did take the ball to the advantage line and put everyone on side, to go again on attack, that laid a great platform.
@@richardmatatahi4563 Absolutely agree. Reiko is certainly looking the business at 13. It seems like having the balance of Jordie at 12, Reiko at 13, B Barrett at 15 and Jordan at 14 makes for quite the roster. I haven't seen Talea do anything ground-breaking but maybe I haven't seen enough - he seems to be good at the grunt work and maybe NZ need a bit of that. I really like Shaun Stevenson, love to see him get a game, maybe against Oz... Still, you guys have quite the selection of backs to choose from and, as an England fan, it's pretty terrifying!
How can a player stay so calm and composed on attack....and he doesn't celebrate much, show off or react negatively to opposition after showing his magic....Will Jordan is a gem of the game of rugby !!!
Blessed are those who live in Peru, they get up early at 2 in the morning and make noise for the All Blacks so much to raise complaints from neighbors (that was my case). It was really worth every damn second, I wasn't disappointed by my dear warriors Tremendous game, they left the fence very high and what is coming this week vs Australia will also be very good Greetings from a small town in Lima, Peru from a great follower of the All Blacks ❤❤❤
Hopefully you get to keep the neighbors awake and not attract any stones if the all blacks win against the wallabies in two weeks time , all the best bro
Win the rugby championship, Bledisloe cup, freedom cup and the Webb Ellis trophy and get back the number one rankings spot 2023 wish you's all the best
Not worried if we get the number one spot back, let the Irish gloat over it more, they been gloating how they beat the All Blacks all year, and don't think we're in the running at this RWC. I think South Africa will beat Ireland in pool B & we will beat France 1st game and take pool A. Then we will have our UTU revenge on Ireland. If they beat Scotland & dare I say it Tonga, hell throw Romania in there as well. But I hope we have them in the Qtr-finals, and they don't slip by us. This game is over Australia is next team up. Expect a different All Black team next week. Something tells me we will face a desperate, fired up Australian team.
Congratulation to the AB's was a great game, shame we lost but we were blown out of the water in the first 20 minutes. Frizzell what a player he looks like! Flattened poor Willie. Good luck in the World Cup.
@@fangman21 My favourite player for sure. Greatest utility back in the history of the sport in my opinion... As an England fan I was both happy and disappointed that he didn't play in the 2019 semi final :P
As a huge bok fan I've come back to watch the highlights multiple times just to watch how good the All Blacks played. Unbelievable performance. Cannot wait to see how the RWC 2023 holds
Frizzell's try reminiscent of another big Tongan/Kiwi AB at the 1995 World Cup running over the top of another hapless saffa (playing for England) fullback 😂 What a beautiful sight! 🇳🇿🖤
When you lay down the challenge, with a Haka like that at the start of the match, you need to play with the same level of intensity... and they did. That first 20 minutes was fast, clinical and ruthless. SA were able to stem the bleeding by wringing a handful of early substitutions, but the damage had been done. You can't give any AB's team a head-start like that.
Beauden Barret slotting into first receiver whenever there was quick ball was definitely planned well the Boks were not ready for those long passes and kicks
The Springboks are an extraordinary side, especially currently, and the ABs managed to make them look a little bit ordinary which is no mean feat. Excellent win
Will Jordan seems to have all the time in the world with that ball, he’s incredible. Reminds me of an all black great by the name of Carter, let’s see how he grows 🎉
That's what got me watching those first 20 mins. Jordan just effortlessly weaved his way around and through the defense, it was quite mesmerizing (although frustrating). ABs outplayed our Boks. We showed glimpses of hope but couldn't stop the attacking.
I was incredibly sad watching this! As a New Zealander I watched it knowing full well South Africa were hardly playing because, in 2023, there was only one game in town - the Rugby World Cup final. There was no way SA were showing their hand. NZ went bananas over tis match. SA fronted in Paris a few months later. That was all that mattered. This match meant nothing, and foxed so many supporters into thinking a RWC was a certainty. Wel, done South Africa - you played the correct game and deserved your win.
Well played NZ. They will find it hard playing against France - I hope I’m wrong, I live in Toulouse and more than half of the French first 15 are here, best French team I’ve seen in a long time.
South Africa lost but they have lots of talent nonetheless. Kwagga Smith is a great player. Like Reiko Ieone, I remember watching both of them play 7's for their respective nations and both were phenomenal so happy to see such players still doing well and showing moments of magic in 15's. What set the AB's apart was how well they passed the ball and how quickly they linked up providing sustained momentum and change of direction to break through the Boks. Some of the best team rugby I've seen from them in ages. Brought back the glory days of the early 1X's a decade ago.
All blacks absolutely a thrilling match. What a game. Shannon frizell 🔥❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥. All the players playing well. Your huge fan from srilanka. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🔥 the match against the framce will be absolutely thrilling . 🔥🇳🇿🇳🇿
I don't know if I've ever seen the Springboks play a worst 1st half?! Unforced errors, penalties, over pursuing on defense. Which left massive gaps for the All Blacks. Credit to New Zealand for taking advantage. And for playing a clean game. I don't think the final score reflects how evenly matched these 2 teams are. Looking forward to their next match.
The ABs didnt just take advantage. They forced them/ pressured them into mistakes with there kicking game. We all know the Springbok love to rush the line. Abs nullified that which causes more problems.
@partyboi69er Fair point. And yeah I do believe the Springboks played into New Zealand's hands. Especially in the 1st half. South Africa seemed like they were playing out of control on defense. And because they fell behind by multiple scores early. It caused them to press, and make mistakes on offense.
@@philippetarral722 NZ were superior on the day, by quite some margin. Well done to your team. I hope our SA boys bounce back and we can get more SA NZ spectacles
I hope Richie the little mountain Mo'unga gets his eye stitched up good, as it blinded him playing on. His cover defenses are awesome, everytime and to see him gel with Beaudy on the aerial game is a real asset in RWC year. Keep 'em guessing.
I was at this game. The Springboks when they walked out looked extremely heart broken. Must have been a hard game for them. And they didn’t say hello to any of the fans. Only one player did, I forgot his name. But I heard him telling the Coach, I don’t want to just walk out and leave all the fans their with nothing so he came out. He was so nice, I got a photo with him. The All Blacks played so good tho and afterwards they just seemed so humble and chill about it. It was my first game can’t wait to go again next year.
@@katherineripia3738 I find that seriously hard to believe that they would say that infront of fans, and that you could understand what they were saying in the first place it would have been in Afrikaans. 🧢
you can tell the effect of 13 new Saffa players who had not played together, they were blown away in the first 30 mins . They then got down to their game and began to slowly grind their way back in. This is the RWC and NH game in a nutshell, setpiece to setpiece ... in the end tho the fatigue kept the ABs ahead of the Boks
@@tafatapaleao4588 no, they been in camp but many of them are NH teams which ended their finals about 4 weeks back. They sent 13 players ahead of the test team and played a back up tam against Australia while the 13 players were in Auckland prepping. So those 13 players were then added into the squad and if you compare the teams that played in South Africa vs the one in Auckland you can see exactly 13 changes....
@@turk88 HAHAHA Those 13 players played together the last 5 or so years whats your point? Last week the ABs played together for the first Time for the year … they were well geled? No excuses mate. All I heard the whole of last week was this is the ‘A’ team … got whooped.
My question is why when Etzebeth goes for the try and the ref calls to check the grounding, the TMO says "no need to check for grounding, there was a neck roll" ? My understanding is (or was) that if the ref calls to check for a try, the TMO should check for that, not for an infringement prior to the try? Hardly a neck roll ffs!
There are no easy wins in a RWC. At the knockout phases you need to put together 3 times 80 minutes of brilliance. Remember France did sent the All Blacks home two times in WC history. But I am happy if the ABs and supporters go the world cup with arrogance ...
Sorry I'm new to rugby, not familiar with the rules. Why the kiwi no.14 didn't need to release the ball after being tackled at 00:37 Greetings from Hong Kong thanks so much ❤ can't wait to watch the RWC
These games don't mean anything it is good to win but coke the world cup these top teams will bring out there best character as long as the allblacks maintain there form if not move it up a notch they should b ok with a hardpool it will do them good easy pools in my opinion make them complacent
Interesting how all the All Blacks (including Steve Hansen) called Springboks kick game 'boring'. NZ had 28 kicks, and SA 14 in this game. Look at the highlights, almost all NZ tries/momentum cam from kick chases (which they regathered excellent). But well done, they outplayed SA in their own game and with better flair. Until we meet again
@@kaalvoet Hahaha verseker nie! Ons het baie subtly die laaste 2 jaar gewerk aan n nuwe dimensie van ons spel. Ons is nou n all round game plan! Go BOKKE
Is it good enough to win the WC, I don't think so. Ireland and France still are the favorite and SA didn't take their chances and scored a try but disallowed. Score could have been a lot closer like 35/30. SA is still a threat.
the abs will beat ireland - france is the challenge for the abs - ireland has never gone further than the qfs cant see that changing but france may be the team to do it - great final would be abs v france
@@bodybalanceU2 One thing that time brings is change. We cant rate this Ireland team based on their entire WC history. Said that, i also think France is the bigger threat to NZ
@@robertbaird4822 Lol France and Ireland are playing what game exactly?? Besides all teams started their campaigns in 2019, as Mexted says, not good enough.
Interesting that the boks struggled against 15 players, they were more convincing against 14 in the 2nd match, note to other teams, keep all your players on the field.
If honestly think the boks onoy won because the ABs were a man down you are mistaken. score was already 14-0 with 15 men, you man were never winning this game. ABs were never going ti come back in that game.
I am a bigg supporter of the all blacks since the day i could watch tv ..but when i saw south Africa play back in the 80's i became a big fan of them they play hard there up on the other players they hit hard and i enjoy the way they play rugby...much love spring boks...way to go all blacks still a big fan of both teams
Forwards win matches, backs by how much. I've heard it said that Mo'unga looks ordinary going backward, well, I have yet to see a first five shine when their forwards are going backward. The Blues had a Rolls Royce backline vs Crusaders but their backline was made to look like poorly coached schoolboys in the Final due to their forwards being dominated. I truly believe the All Blacks will only require discipline and parity in the forwards, at least, in order to be victorious in the approaching World Cup due to the incredibly difficult lessons from the last few years that the All Blacks are now turning into gold, writ large after the Boks and Pumas being dispatched with aplomb. Not looking forward to the Bok Test at Twickenham because if either team lost and then hit a rich vein of form in the WC and got up and won it then nobody will remember the Twickenham Test as anything other than an aberration and the thing I fear is one of our game-breakers being injured. ...then there are the refs...cards...interpretations...mindset...
yeah 1st game that ball behind the scrum and that big South African steels it and smashes his way over the line, what a try. Christie will learn from that, I'm sure.
@richardmatatahi4563 maybe after World Cup he seemed a bit off pace gotta be hard and fast 80 min lol Roygard looks the business haven’t really seen much of him being in aus but I would pick him first already 😂
