From what I can tell, the Russians gave a good account of themselves. They have some solid defenders. Give Russian rugby time, once they go professional, they’ll become a super power. I love that the smaller nations are giving a good account of themselves. It shows rugby union is going In the right direction. Btw, I’m South African.
Russia is playing opposite of what they did in 2011. That time they were always scoring flashy tries but they conceded many more points . Example 1 try vs Japan and lose by 20 , 0 tries vs Samoa and lose by around 30, 0 vs Ireland and around 30. In 2011 3 tries vs Italy and lose by 40, 3 vs Australia and same , 2 vs Ireland and same
It feels like russa did good in their pool they never let any team put 40 or 50 points against them japan beat russia by 30 then samoa beat them by 35 while ireland beat them 34 points not bad
Well done Ieprachuans you defeated vodka blokes well done you mad dogs like honesty brilliant game played by both I have my soft spot for Ireland from England 🏴
i do also because it will do Ireland a favor to face NZ in teh QF - i dont fancy teh Springboks - they will destroy us! we have a better chance of beating NZ than SA i think
Another T1 vs T2 $#!7 show. The RWC could rival FIFA if they closed the T1/T2 gap and more people got interested. Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts in developing a quality Rugby side. It’s a long slow process. Still, the Russians didn’t do that bad considering it the sport was banned during the soviet era.
