We have five children, three of the five are married. We have a teenager and a nine year old still at home, and we homeschool also. I only have one nine year old that has bins of matchbox cars, Legos, etc... That one child overwhelms me with the clutter. You my friend, are a rockstar. 👏

Suggestion-I have also struggled with the junk of Happy Meal toys, I go through the build up of those periodically and I donate them to my kids school for their prize bucket, they are always super appreciative, something that might be worth inquiring about at your local school.

Yes! My treasure bin is mostly stocked with little toys my sister declutters. It's such a help with incentives!

Great job! Suggestion. Remove the black console table. Store the camera equipment in the white shelves in your bedroom. *tip: removing furniture will help reduce the possibility for clutter*

Good job! An idea for the labels on the toy bins are to take a picture of the toys and put the picture as the label.

You can never declutter toys enough!! But putting them away and pulling back out after 1/2 or 1 year works wonders too!!

I've watched several of your videos. I homeschooled my children and know how demanding and challenging it can be to manage academics, homemaking, discipline, various interests (including my own), and marriage. Yeah I wonder if it was a "was putting stuff away and forgot that was in my hand" moment or a "hmmm wonder what will happen if I put this where it doesn't belong? Will mom or dad find it"? LOL when my brother was a baby he was totally the second one. My moms motto was " help me keep him alive for another year"! he loved testing various dangerous things from the second he could crawl, kids are definitely sneaky.

Absolutely love decluttering/organisation videos!! I volunteer at a children's home and we rotate the toddlers toys and it really helps them stay interested on them!

This was great! It's amazing how much clutter we can hide in bins around the house. I just did a declutter and moved the toy bins into a closet instead of the kids room ... so when they want a toy, they need to go through me and before they get a new box of toys, the first one needs to be put away and then we exchange it. It's helped the dump and move on mentality!

Angela, you are on fire! When my 6 kids were little, this seemed like a monthly project. It seemed easier to keep things picked up when they were young, as opposed to teen years...funny. You are a woman after my own heart!

Angela, you're so much fun to watch! This reminds me of my mother, who taught me how to organize. She went into my brother's bedroom, dumped all the dressers empty, and then we put all of our Playskool little people into one drawer, Playskool little people furniture into the second drawer, and we were able to find our toys!

We declutter toy bins and cupboards (with kids helping) every 2 or 3 months. Dumping it out and sorting one by one into bins is the best 👍

I think this was favorite so far. I can relate to it. 4 kids - books, curriculum, toys and stuffies are my struggles. These areas I have to stay on top of. And even then they try to bury me periodically. I know this was a hard one for you and it would be hard for me too!!

Hey Angela, great job on the declutter. Just a thought on your entrance if you decide to put a fridge and pantry in maybe you’d consider taking down that half wall and pushing the shoe storage back a little. Or maybe making a long built in bench with shoe storage so there is room for a lot of your kids to get shoes on at once. Just a thought! -Lindsay

It is seriously so satisfying!!! My first and second floors are pretty much in maintenance status for decluttering, but my basement is always an issue. We are getting a new furnace soon and we will have a whole new room once we can remove the old furnace and water heater and oil tank! I'm going to move my laundry room to the new space and then make a music room out of the laundry room which can also become storage in the future. I cannot wait.

I'm loving this organizing series! It's really motivating. A suggestion for the toy bins is to add a picture of the toys that are in each bin to go with the label so the kids can quickly see where each toy goes when cleaning up.

I am loving this declutter my life series!! Unrelated, but would you ever consider doing a, “These are the things that I do/use in order to stay healthy and not get sick very often” series? I get sick a lot, it seems, and that’s hard when you’re a stay at home homeschool mom. Do you take vitamins, supplements, or anything else that help boost your immune system?

I love all these de-cluttering videos! They inspire me to do some of the same. My 1 suggestion...I would totally get rid of the tall white cabinet by your home school closet. You have lots of extra shelf space elsewhere and it would help open up the room just a bit more. Also... what is in the large built in where you are planning to put your pantry and fridge?

Ok, this is going to be a big ol’ smooshy compliment comment... I found your channel recently, and I admire you so much. I’m more than ten years older than you, but I want to be like you when I grow up. Lol. I, too, have a big family- six kids, two of which are already grown and flown. We were in the process of applying to adopt when I got pregnant with our third, and then after our fourth, when we were starting to think again about adoption, I got pregnant again. Go figure. 😊. All that to say, I love adoption and think it’s an amazing way to grow your family. Your family is so beautiful, and if I were a kid, I’d want to belong to you and CR. Your decluttering series is so inspiring to me. Thank you so much for really explaining your thought process as you go through each room. I have been decluttering regularly for years, but it’s cyclical. As you were talking about, your kids enter different stages, so it’s just a constant process of re-evaluating your space and belongings. I love the music you choose, your style, your sense of humor, everything. So glad I found your channel! ❤️

Clear bins with lids. Keep the toys separated. I try to teach my kids to pick up one bin before getting another out. I’ve found the canvas bins become full of random stuff very easily. I think no matter the system, regular clean outs are necessary.
