Leon Rose put on a clinic on how to build a franchise. Even after they pay everyone, they’ll still have draft picks, and everyone’s contracts are moveable.
This is a great trade. Anyone focusing on the first round picks given up is missing the forest for the trees. Bridges and OG will lock up alot of players. Brunson is already a bucket getter and now you have a decent clutch player in bridges to help when needed. He also plays EVERY game.
He fell off defensively in the last two years. I’m a nets fan and I’ve watched every game. Cooper Flagg will be much better defensively. He started getting booed at Barclays Center.
He's bound to start getting injured very soon, and with serious injuries too. I'm not being negative, that's just the track record of the human body. Just like Klay and kobe were healthy for a long long time until serious injuries
The Knicks have a bench. People act like they don’t because the starters were injured. Donte, Hart, McBride, Mitch. Even Achuwa is a possibility if they lose Hartenstein. This team is ready to compete for a title
Leon Rose has been brilliant at these team friendly contracts, but time has come to pay OG. Shout out to Jay Wright all his work continues to pay off. LETS GO KNICKS.
Big W for Knicks fans. They legitimized their place in the East as championship contenders. They’re better than Philly and Milwaukee and have widened their gap.
@@CokeZeroHero 😂😂😂 That’s the conclusion that you made? At least the Blazers and Pistons have won recent NBA championships than your sorry Knicks team. Are you saying y’all have a better overall achievement with that 1970 and 1973 championship that nobody remembers? Were you even born when the Knicks won their last 1973 NBA championship? you trading away five 1st round picks for Bridges, and you guys are happy ? Is Bridges an all star players? These Knicks fans are just a pure comedian. Btw our team just won a championship so move on 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Between the Celtics, Pacers, Knicks, Cavs, and I’ll throw in Orlando because I think they’re close to the conversation, the East is looking like a pretty interesting dogfight.
@@ryancampbell4801 I’m a Celtics fan, who are you telling lol? I said we’re good with or without him. I’m saying it’s gonna be a fun conference. Simmer down.
Marks saying they need to fill out bench. Yes and no. IF they keep OG that pushes Dante and Hart to bench. Along with Deuce. So that’s 8. If they lose Hartenstein they need a replacement center. But Knicks played 6/7/8 last year. If they’re starting with 2 starters from end of last what now off bench. They are in good spot. Need to add a PF/C who can defend to add to bench.
Great trade. Knicks still have two first rounders today and 6 over the next 7. They needed another scorer and they also added another shooter and more defense
@@Realitychecks1011 yea the team will be a vibe for sure but I don't see them wining..... but they can have great runs as long as doc is coaching the bucks 🤣
@@jeffreyirizarry1749 they’ll need vet minims to fill out the roster and normally it’s just guys who have a good relationship with the team and provide a body. Like Taj and Ryan. Shoot the boys pretty much said on the podcast after the pistons trade that his lockers still their for him next season because they know that he’s the most likely guy to get that end of bench role
Getting a superstar that only plays 10-20 games per season not available in the playoffs is the worst. Best move by New York. Bridges is a star role player who can do a lot of things and always available.
@Grimmes12 would u give up those picks for pg,Jimmy and or kd, all injury prone. Mikal might not be a star player but he plays both ends of the floor extremely well and got no ego.
I kinda love the way the Knicks are putting together their team. We are, however, in the Age of the International Center (Boston has 3 foreign born Centers on their roster), so it would very much behoove the Knickerbockers to look to acquire such players in the draft, and otherwise.
Wait Stephen A sniffing her draws. Didn't he even know. Have yawll see Molly lately. Molly be crazy but I ain't gonna lie she a fine latina@@Grimmes12
"They were able to make a deep run without being healthy" ESPN gives them the benefit while ignoring every other East contender but Boston had Hall of Famers and MVPs injured
Great trade! They just need good pieces like Mikal. Look at the Clips and all their star power, they haven’t done nothing. Whoever is making building decisions with the Knick’s they finally got it right
Monica's Green glasses shows that some ESPN analysts sure forget they are professionals. Class is class. That is no class. Having fun when you're on the beach is one thing, coming to work, even if you are working from home, means I am representing a company's brand name. This is not hate, she is a good analyst. But let's call it as it is, bad decision making.
Hear me out...Julius Randle for Draymond Green! Draymond still gives you defense and rebounding as well as leadership and championship experience but he wont take the ball out of Jalen and OGs hands like Randle does. He can also at times open up Jalens game by allowing him to play off ball knowing Draymond is a good and willing passer. Then the warriors get a younger player who create his own shot to take pressure off of steph.
You sound really dumb sir, and even if he’s a sixth man even tho he isn’t , he’s a legitimate wing in this league that’ll help space the floor out and play defense
9:22 $17 mill to build out the bench?? That honestly should be enough, our bench rn is Duece Donte and Hart, out side of a back up big and maybe another wing what do we really need??? And we could get that in the draft so that’s not even touching the $17 mill yet
Aside from Boston, the Knicks might have the most balanced roster in the east. And they might be the only one that can bang with the Celtics on defense. The question is, will Julius Randle be enough as a 2nd option. People have their doubts, but we all know what Brunson can do.
My challenge is I don’t think Boston is the team to beat in the East. Idk if they make the finals had both the Bucks and Sixers not been hampered by injuries.. and the Knicks
Imagine thinking that Paul George at 34 on a max contract. A guy that’s never played an entire season, would be a better option for the Knicks… super high IQ stuff
Easily? He was the number one option on an awful team last year with crazy usage and could only put up 19… what are you talking about. Bridges will probably average around 15.
The reason why this type of move is EXTREMELY RARE is because Championship Winning organizations don't give up 5/6 first round picks, including 2, 2nd round picks to aquire a guy who has never and will NEVER command a double team, let alone a triple team......This is Insanity.
So let me get this straight.....You don't make a move for a PG who is STILL an all NBA caliber wing(who ironically people say will make the 6ers a contender if aquired, the same 6ers the Knicks just beat in 6..)..because he's injury prone, but you turn around and trade your 2 best young players and "essentially" a 1st round pick, for an injury prone, but very good role player in OG, who you're willing to pay up to 40 million(+..) per who has never made an All Star Team to say the least, and traded 5/6 first round picks for another ROLE PLAYER....That sounds like Win Now moves to me, not "building for the future" moves.....So why are we talking about PG's age when he's by far better than both those younger players still and a bigger wing at that than both of them.....Make it make sense......🤔🤔............
