This video will detail all the steps needed to install an LED mod kit to your xbox one controller. Please read the instructions for yourself if you attempt this. While I don't think I'd recommend this mod to everyone, you may enjoy it if you want to mess around with an old controller and try something new.

Boris 15 I do have 2 extra controllers I can probably use this mod on one of the old controller.

ayyy mane, everything I have seen online says you need to have fresh batteries. When they get low the unit starts acting weird. Saw other people only having green and red, then with a fresh battery it worked fine. The LED's stop working way before the controller will stop functioning. They need a higher voltage than the low that the controller can function at. JS

For my circuit I do not have the wires that go into the analog sticks.

Pssst… A hair dryer pointed to the battery sticker for a few seconds loosens the adhesive enough to pull the sticker up and remove the screw.

that's a good point... but the controller I used is a couple years old, so it wouldn't matter anyway I guess.

Same thing happened to my kit when I installed it ! Only three colors showed up but after I charged up my batteries 🔋 and cleaned the conductors 🧼and swapped 🔁a new back cover on they seemed to pop up ✅ Even the blue which was no existent before 👍

You might wanna crack your controller open again and check if both of the ribbon cable connectors are secured good enough under the battery terminals. I had a similar issue with the colors not all showing up when I did mine, but I just moved the cable around a bit and tested it while it was still open, and it fixed it, so your blue LEDs might just not be making a good enough connection to the batteries.

you said 6 screws but only counted out 5 the 3 in the center & 1 on each side left 1, right 1 =5 screws

Use 1.5v Batteries and all Colors are Light Up! :) I contacted ExtremeRate about this Issue.. i Had the Same and they Said.. Some Colors Requires 1,5v Batteries 😎 Hope it Fixes IT for you :)

@@coolfloh i had this headset and it likes to repeatedly break. Over the past year ive had to get 4 because they seem to be faulty and break for absolutly no reason. For the price that they are, you would think they work nicely (Which they do, I loved them) but it ends up being way too expensive in the end.

Yeah it's possible that they're not secured properly, but the way they make you do it makes it really difficult to get in there ☹️

Really make sure the part that fits under the battery tongs are really secure. Of those aren't connected properly, it won't work. It's very dumb they ask you to shove paper under it to make the connection more secure, but I'd check that first.

Boris 15 just re did everything and it doesn’t work. I even accidentally ripped the red wire for my vibration so that’s fucked :/

Boris 15 ugh, just wasted 8h of my life for nothing. Ended up losing two buttons and breaking both vibrate 🤦‍♂️ deconstructed the control like 22 times to see what was wrong
