Most of this video was filmed before things went crazy, before all of Wuhan got quaranteened and all that. (I had been editing this video for many days!) I'm in Shanghai by the way. Things here are uhmm different from normal. Maybe I'll do a video about it on my other channel. Anyway, timestamps: Deck - 00:38 Trist Trucks - 01:44 Drivetrain - 03:03 ESC and Remote - 05:42 Speed and Brakes - 07:42 Portability - 10:32 Water Resistance - 11:05 Aesthetics - 11:38 Range - 12:41 Conclusion - 14:14
Frank Hu I wonder if you could even use the Cloud Wheels because of the big cutouts. They really seem quite big, so i think the 105s wouldnt be a problem at all. But for rough roads, even the 105s wont be good enough
Yo this was not a review it was an experience.🔥 The editing was fantastic; it was informative and entertaining. Thanks for the shoutout. Things that stand out most ▶️the fact Exway says this is a budget board ▶️ the value that is being provided ▶️ the overall design of the board ▶️ the tech provided for the price Great video keep them coming 🛹🤙🔥
Jason Adihetty a lot of people are starting to feel that way. Even if they make some changes, there is no need to spend 2000 on a board for average users. Extreme users may need a 2-3000 dollar board but not everyday riders. Especially with board like Exway, Wowgo and Backfire especially Exway and Backfire they have good after sale services
For new viewers considering this board, I just wanted to mention that the Exway flex is now with 216Wh as mentioned on their website, but not 259Wh when dkwan made this video. That would means a range would be different and the BMS could probably be changed too. Just FYI since I am shopping as well.
Do you know if it would be a significant decrease in range? Im currently looking for my first board and was beginning to settle on this but if the change is that big of a deal i may consider looking elswhere
I pause the video at 5-8 seconds made it bag of popcorn because I know this is going to be informative and great as I was all comfortable with a bag of popcorn ready to be informed and then you said sit back and relax" holy s*** he's talkin to me" lol great job 👍👍👍
@@DanielKwan when does that drop? Excited for it but delays understandable with the current circumstances. Wonder if the Coronavirus will get a movie like outbreak.
This is what I want to know too. I am deciding between the two right now. These seems to be the best options out there right now for flex belt drive boards
@@EverythingbyMatt I personally think the Wowgo and Exway are better boards overall just due to the ESC, as T much prefer the Hobbywing esc's control interface vs the meepo's. This is a personal preference though and for the price, the Meepo is a decent board. I just prefer the belt drive and Hobbywing ESC in the Wowgo 3x and Exway Flex and thus make them my choices for the best eboard for the price right now.
The Exway Flex's battery changed to 216Wh Unbrand as of June 2021. Please correct the contents or post a notice so that no one can get it wrong after watching your video.
Duuuuuuude. Said it before and I'll say it again, love your videos! Detailed, but not to lengthy. You do it good and well! Thx for another great video and keep it up!
Dylan Brand the Ownboard is much bigger and heavier. It has much more range though. Things you should consider ▶️How portable do you need your board to be? ▶️exway has good rep for customer service ▶️Do you like having an app ▶️ How much range do you need
The ownboard at is more capable than the exway flex in terms of off road advantage and range. However, since it's an AT board it's naturally less portable and takes more to charge and it's at a higher price. Depends on how good the condition of the road and range will be it's 2 different boards for 2 different buyers
I got the exway flux hub motor about 2 weeks ago and it's been great! I got a 17 mile range (weight 150 pound, mostly flat surface going on average 17 MPH with an outside temp of 40 degree fahrenheit)
I also loved your review Daniel! Unfortunately, I bought two Flex boards. One for me and one for my son. His board works. Mine does not. It never worked. EXWAY support will not write me back. I even bought two Lazyrolling jackets. They are great. Although, I cannot use mine since EXWAY stole my money and sent me a non-working board. Daniel- you and your company are awesome. You should distance yourself from EXWAY. They are thieves.
Great Video! Question: as you ride do you notice a reduction in top speed or acceleration? I know you mention a reduction in braking power when battery is less than full. I saw another review claiming boosted boards do not reduce performance even when battery is less than full.
I see you asked everybody for real but just email exway and they will get back to you within 24 hours, but the last person to go to or just don't go to is that Jay Boston, did you not see the way he commented on the situation this dude doesn't give two s*** bro about eboard community
Fantastic info overload. I have been looking at this board but out of stock : ( Copy from Exway Features: Max Speed 40km/h, Range 32km, IP55 Waterproof rating, 30% Hill Climbing, Weight 7.5kg, ExWay Trist 45 degree trucks, In the box - Electric Skateboard*1, Standard charger*1, .... Must have improved range. I prefer the type of cells in this board as i can replace.
David Skytt I heard with this prototype it does weaken at low battery but exway said they will fix that with a simple software update. So the real product that will come out will probably not have that problem like the prototypes these RU-vidrs are reviewing have
Firstly love this channel. However, disappointing experience w exway so far. Ordered June14th - advertised on the website as 7-10 days shipped from Germany turned into 8.5 weeks and counting - UPS tracking information just says waiting for pick up since July 6th and no response from exway to email or WhatsApp..
Hands off the exway products (!): The goods were delivered with a defective battery, the board abruptly stops running and can no longer be braked (this is life-threatening). Currently I argue with the support in endless chats. I would have no claim to intact replacement, since I have driven the board. This is NOT the case, as the battery after the first charge showed the above defects. Save yourself time and nerves, go to another manufacturer. Kind Regards André Pauli (M.Sc., banker and management consultant)
Zac Gan The important points are motor sound, flexibility, distance, torque, and wheels. I think the distance and torque of the two boards are similar. I think the wowgo sound of the motor is small, too. The wheels are bigger than wowgo, so I think they will be more comfortable. Flexibility certainly makes your feet comfortable. And it's more fun.
“If you dont plan on using the board for a long time, you SHOULD NOT charge the battery to 100%”. So I SHOULD charge my board to 100% if I DO want to use it long term?
I just bought my first electric skateboard today walking into a skate shop and came across this video IM IN LOVE WITH MINE. I’m almost 100kgs and this board goes up any hill with ease, 50% power is enough for me and the battery lasts a long time Anyone debating if this is the one - This is the best value for money a skateboard can buy I haven’t even watched this yet but check it out !
Hi Daniel, RE: PULLEY - BELT, Does it mean it is the same riot drive, BUT with a new drive gear and pulley? Meaning if one wants to upgrade or use the 15mm belt he just have to purchase a new version of pulleys and gear? Or maybe the new belt will fit the v1 riot without changing anything?
You mentioned that this board is flexy but not as flexy as competing boards. To your knowledge, what is the most flexible electric longboard on the market? I have used loaded boards for some time, want to get my first electric longboard but I prefer VERY flexible decks. Thank you!!
Would u say that there's kind of a breaking in process to the board? My dad kind of hopped on it (he's around 190) and it almost made an unnerving crack sound if you know what I'm saying. Just want to make sure it's not anything major. Thanks!
How big of a mistake would I be making if I got the Backfire G3 instead of this one. It would be my first board. No experience. Just want a board for casual rides.
Is the weather condition can affect the battery performance? Coz you said you tested it when 43-54 Fahrenheit. Is it makes a difference if you test it in about 70-80 Fahrenheit?
Where would you compare the moope v3 compared to the esway board? It seems to me that none of these other boards compare, I got the v3 with the shred light package ordered a livall wifi riding helmet and a 6pc protective pads set all for under 700$.I a.m not saying I think these v3 ISS better bcuz ive never rode any aboard before. But at the price of these v3 I couldn't pass it up, hussy ordered everything 2 days ago now my long wait begins
which brand is overall better choice? for example: i think that ownboard bamboo AT with cloud wheells is a better choice than backfire ranger X2 BUT can i trust ownboard or should i stay with backfire even tho i think bamboo AT is better. We can see that sometimes board are comming with broken motor or broken remote or without smth, which brand is going to repair their foults free of charge? maybe u could say smth more? or maybe talk with brands how is it even possible to send to someone broken deck?! i would really like to buy a board but i dont want to spend 1k$ for smth that is broken or will broke in 10 days. Realy flustrating.
There is a problem with my exway flex battery; Now three time in a row it cuts power between 36% and 29% and go to 0% immediately and disconnected with remote and I'm not the first one who have a problem with the flex battery. I sent an email to exway and waiting for their replay. This video influence a lot of guys to buy this board so I hope exway have the responsibility to solve the defects.
And would luv to kno if any firmware update comes out that increases the power of this baby like you speak about on you video, my app says a newer update is available but the guy I bought it from said that exway told him not to install it yet..?? Apparently there are some issues with the latest firmware???sorry for babeling on just excited with my new toy!! Lol
I love your video reviews. I purchased Exway x1 Pro after watching your review and now I will order Exway Flex. Thank you! Exway became my favorite eboard company. Great affordible boards with amazing specs. Not overpriced like Boosted
G3 is better in terms of reliability and service. Prob with reviewers is they don't stack a lot of miles on the board over several months to give a proper for the ppl verdict. Too many reports of battery issues with the flex.. hence I went with the g3
Does the Flex use the same drive train as the Exway X1 Pro Riot? I want a flex board with the power of the X1. they didn't list the spec of the drive train on their site
Haha, don't you mean "flexi d#ck"? Haha, I won't forget that video. Happy new year brotha and wicked video! One of your best! Looks like a lot of work was put into it. ✌️Neil
For the price is there anything better than this board as of rn? Or would this still be a good choice? Looking to pick up something not too expensive that is of good quality
Yo my friend this was an amazing video with all the bells and whistles to match. I'm definitely subscribing and I'm looking into getting one of these boards myself so thank you for the info
I was just about to buy my first boosted board until I just find out they went out of business. RIP I maybe looking into this board instead. Thanks for the review and the price is better then boosted.
Hey Daniel , do u have their Wechat to contact their sales team ? Because our country is not listed on their website for shipping almost all good companies are not shipping to our country and that feels sad
Precision washers? Those have been sold out for a while in other stores, I might pick some up if they're standard size :) Great review! You really covered everything :D
Dose anyone kno how to change the km to mph on the remote on a flex?? I was able to change it in the app but not the remote, and I could have sworn I was able to change it once, just forgot how
Hello I’m looking for someone how knows about boards I gat one recently and when I try tomcenect the board the battery turns off and the re pair doesn’t get it ether so please some that could help me with this let me know
HEY DANIEL question. I own a Exway PRO and I remember you said exway and Backfire uses the same manufacturer Hobby Wing. My question is does Backfire 97mm hub sleeves fit on Exway X1 Pro hub motors?
I can’t wait until you review the Exway mini, that deck has a hell of a concave in it and it looks dope as hell both of them the flex and let mini are really dope looking! And I’ll be buying them both very soon
I am trying to decide between this board and the Meepo AWD, I have a lot of hills around me (20 to 35% inclines). Which one do you think is better for a 195lbs/88.4kilo user? My normal expected travel distance is 3.5 miles/5.6km each way. I'm assuming belt drive is the way to go for the best results.
Meepo AWD is a very very niche product, you might love it or hate it if you’re not sure what you’d be getting into. It would be a very uncomfortable ride on most roads. 88 kg would get maybe 30% less range than what I get (on any board), which is still plenty for your use case of 5.6 km each way. I would go for the Exway.
