So sad , its carcinoma ... Even though its been cut out , with the eye gone etc ..the vet is just buying him time . I hope the horse made good recovery ..and praying he has plenty of painfree years ahead Bless him. Looked so sore , to sag the least .
I don’t see that at all. Ears are just one piece of the puzzle- if he were in pain, his face would be tight, his body would be tense, his tail would be swishing, his weight would be shifting. Or, at the very least, he would have one of those alongside the ears back. So, he is not scared or in pain. It is odd that only his ears are back- the way he shakes his head and neck at the end is very reminiscent of horses with something in their ears. He holds his right ear normal and keeps his left ear backward- this even more so makes me think he got something into his left ear. Maybe a fly crawled in because the horse was unable to twitch his ears and scare it off while asleep. Maybe a drop of blood fell from the doctor’s arm and is dripping down his clean shaven ear. The left ear was the ear facing up during the surgery, so it would be easy for something to fall into it. You must take all context into account! ❤
