Thai rent a car is excellent. I've used them many times. I reserved a car for five days, May 1st to the 5th: 7062 Baht for a Toyota compact. That is with the option for full coverage. Once I did a little damage to one of their Toyota Fortunas, dinged a fender. They didn't flinch. I had full coverage, no problem.

You got me thinking back to my Navy days (1980 - 1992). When we had liberty in different countries and cities, sure, we were in our 20s so we partied, but there was a modicum of respect, even among young sailors. I don't get the people that visit a country as guests and do some of the stuff I've read some tourists have pulled. We wouldn't have even considered that, and we were young and usually drunk sailors.

I left C/M years ago for the rice lands of surin, low low pollution unlike C/M, no tuck tuck drivers constantly touting you just cos your walking, chineese tour buses galore, no place to call home.

Hi Bill, You look good my friend. I am glad that you’re doing well and getting some bike riding. Say hello to your lovely wife for me. At any rate, talking about the ugly expats when we were in Vietnam a expat couple were doing the wild thing right at the room hotel window. It was a riot because there’s tons of people watching it. Never saw any cops around at all. In regard to the exchange dollar, it’s the same thing in the Philippines. Your dollar bill MUST be clean and perfect or else you are taking it back going back home. 😂

As much as I think if you go to another country you should respect the laws and customs no matter how much you dont like them i think foreigners are being used as scape goats for all the problems of Thailand, lets take for example the Swiss man 🇨🇭, was he a jerk for " kicking " someone? Well yes if he actually did such a thing, now i believe he did probably kick the lady based on the low level of protest from him, now... there is no evidence he did this whatsoever, there has been no trial, no nothing and yet he has been already punished, ok so lets move on to Big Joke, he has been accused over and over again for the past few months over his involvement in a illegal gambling ring or something, an yet he is saying im innocent until proven guilty... ok yet the laws don't apply for foreigners, its instantly guilty and off you go no visa renewal, public embarrassment, like i said break the law and you deserve to be punished but it seems the Swiss man has been hung out to dry without a trial.... and STILL Boss walks around free. The Thai law just works on its own made up rules
