She did all this damage, just to get an ex boyfriend to date her again. She murdered someone who never tried to harm her. This was clearly premeditated. Rarely are crimes like this black and white. But in this case, it is.

@@pikas_palaceno, if you watch the other sections of this trial you'd know she packed the knife planning to use it, drove him to a secluded place (alex never once drove) and on top of that ditched the knife just outside Mr Stipples house, and immediately claimed memory loss whilst knowing exactly what happen, so that he could bleed out, and likely to have time for nature to muddy the waters on what happened

In addition, why is it that each person who takes the stand has to swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, yet the defense ATTORNEYS in this case were lying all over the place? Following are just a couple of examples although I could list many: They LIED throughout their opening statement with their false narrative about the murder, they LIED by making the victim, Alex, out to be the monster. During the victim impact statements, her female defense attorney, Deja Vishny, at one point flat-out denies that Monica made a GoFundMe when she 100% absolutely did! Borderline personality disorder paired with narcissistic traits is one of the most dangerous combos that us humans can have. The sheer lack of empathy is bone chilling. Many people like this simply do not have the ability to look at situations from another's perspective (thus making empathy impossible beyond a superficial layer). Your point regarding Monica's affect is very valid. I'm a psychologist and I believe she has a clinical level , features of at least three . Borderline BPD , Narcissistic NPD cluster B ( somatic of the body , these people use sex to manipulate and are sexual chameleons ) and ASPD or old school sociopathy which I believe is her primary personality disorder. These can all blend together. Many people get personality disorders mixed up with mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia or Bi polar disorder which are completely different these are disorders that are organic illness and they can be treated. You cannot change or treat personality disorders, personality is fixed by the age of 18 which is when problems first start to appear depending on the severity and type but generally it's not good especially with A disorders, she is not a psychopath her crime and behaviours are far too chaotic and disorganized.

I would have loved to have had a coffee with this man and just talk about whatever came up - I guarantee it could have gone on for days and I would have learned so much and loved every minute of it. It is so sad to think that this person is no longer in this life - I can't imagine what incredible impact he would have had on this world had he been given the chance to live his life in it. It's sickening to think of how emotionless Erza was during this whole ordeal. It is a morbid curiosity to witness how Erza handled herself and treated others. She used really good people. She had the opportunity to meet so many great minds and artists and she tainted everyone she touched. I don't know if she can be rehabilitated. This trial has given me the extra encouragement and reinforcement to finally walk away from a relationship ive had for 3-4 years now. i always thought there was something wrong with this person, and seeing Ezra and hearing this story, totally reminds me of her, she even looks like Ezra, not only the fake cries, the lies, the manipulation. SOOO many similarities, its very scary.Even the delusional letters Ezra wrote from prison, totally disconnected and self absorbed, sounds just like my Ex! total contradictory, funny how she states shell keep th elong locks, as shes sitting in court with the buzz cut lol.....this has been my life, yes, there ARE people like this in the world, i hope none of you ever have to deal with this type of individual. I couldn't quite figure it out, but this trial has made me see the light, or rather, the darkness, and im now very clear on cutting all ties and beginning fresh. the hardest part of being empathetic, is, psychopaths will take advantage of that. So sorry to all who have encountered the Devil, Ezra, as well as my now Ex-gf!! Maybe Ezra can learn what REAL crying, tears and feelings are look like from all the sincere and genuine love Alex's friends and family express here. my heart goes out to all of them. People like Ezra and my now Ex, are human viruses that do not deserve to be with normal functioning and loving humans. Her fake face of concern is so apparent and infuriating. she feels nothing doesn't give a F#$k how she has impacted all these people and taken a life away. now hopefully, they take hers away. and, YES, i am damaged from the time spent with this person and being exposed to the toxicity of her existence. no more!!

I watched this again, as it was a lot the first time and I had to turn it off halfway through. The male lawyer behind Murderer McCandeless has been looking at the woman prosecutor with an evil, menacing face, grabbing his hands and knuckles like he wants to hit her. Smirking when she talks about the wounds Alex suffered. So many things that put him on the radar for being just like his client. The amount of seething anger I can see and even feel off him just in this video is daunting. If he has a wife, I’d tell her to run. The way he grabs his hands like he wants to get violent with that woman is frightening. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if in the future he ends up with a violent record himself. Second to him is the male defense attorney next to her. During the verdict he hardly moved, hardly blinked, lifted his eyes without blinking (which is often referred to as the psychopath glare, because that’s an actual thing they do) to glare at the judge each time he thanked the jury. He was also seething in pure rage and could hardly hide it. The woman defense attorney, while obnoxious, didn’t show any level of crazy or rage or stewing in her seat trying not to attack the other side. Those two men are scary and they should be thoroughly looked into. I feel like I’m a decent reader of people and of everyone in the courtroom, those two and the murderer were the only 3 that made me feel like they could snap with violence in many situations. Watch the murderers face from 36:10 - 36:30. As her former friend wraps up her statement, she follows her with her eyes with a fake sad look, then immediately turns towards her lawyer in almost an eye roll. The fake sadness gone from her face, and back to the “whatever” look she has had during most of this case. It’s so telling. Especially if you slow the speed down a little bit, you can really see those micro-expressions of hatred all over her gross little rat face as the former friend walks off the stand. How anyone can be fooled by that thing after the trial, I’ll never know.

*Say it louder for the back.* 35:35 That's what I've been thinking the _whole time._ She offended not one, not two, but *three* marginalized or victimized groups by her lie: 1. Sexual assault victims. Although lying about sexual assault is statistically rare, when a high-profile case such as this one comes to light it makes it 1,000x more difficult for victims' voices to be heard. Their lives become disrupted even further when someone shows just how easily someone can feign assault with tears, hysteria, and even self-inflicted injuries. 2. Insulting the trans community by creating a false victim account. She created an _entire narrative_ to explain why "BOY" was carved into her arm. She, once again, made herself to be a victim, dimming the light on _actual_ victims of assault due to gender identity. 3. The LGBTQA community in general. Not only because of the afforementioned alleged assault, but she outed a dead man. It's not shameful to be gay, bi, or even straight, but it *is* shameful to out someone to add credence to a factitious story. I've watched nearly all of this trial and she has not shown an _ounce_ of guilt. She went from smiley and happy when she was the center of attention being questioned by _her_ team, then went to quiet, *leering at the cameras,* but no remorse. It's incredible to me how easily she was able to get through this.

Ezra’s attempts at trying to look remorseful is so telling. Psychopaths don’t feel remorse, but learn how to express remorse by watching others. You can tell her attorneys told her to express remorse so the judge would go easy on her. You know her displays of remorseful expressions aren’t genuine because when she looks at her attorneys, her face immediately losses the emotional expression of remorse. When you are truly emotionally touched by remorse, the expression takes minutes to leave your face. This monster didn’t get away with “one more lie”. This is one less monster walking among us. RIP sweet Alex. I’m so sad that you will never be able to inspire anyone again. OMG I love what the young philosophy guy said because I absolutely agree with him. The hardest thing to do is to readjust to society after you have been in a structured community. The fact is Ezra never learned how to live and be independent, she was just a user and thought she deserved to be able to use people.

The female defense lawyer is laughable. The way she constantly tries to portray herself as more capable because of all her years doing this job. And then she talks about "play for television cameras" when literally everything Ezra did during this trial was exactly that.

She almost cries when shes told shes talented and now will only sell her art for an appeal. Truly showing she only cares about herself

The defence attorney saying the prosecutor lack professional curtesy and she keeps objecting and interrupting the witnesses. Shameful

#KortFox best testimony I’ve ever heard. Oscar worthy as well. I couldn’t have said it better.

It seems very telling how uneasy her defense teams is hearing these painful impact statements where she sits devoid of any feelings or emotions. Unreal.

Ezra's prison letters that the prosecutor read about 1:25:00, is so much proof alone that she is a Psychopath incapable of remorse.

And more direct proof of all the lies she told, especially about her father.

Why are the defense attorneys glaring at the victims as they give statements? WTF.

So the defence can use Alex's words to present him as a sexual abusers and a cannibal but "it's an outrage" to use her high school papers where Ezra displays her admiration for psychopaths...

Did you see the flash of what l interpreted as "insult" on her face when Alex's father (in the first letter) said he thought she needed to be in prison because she would "kill again". She looked like "What, Me?". She's truly sick.

Alex was a stranger to me yet the pain I just witnessed was just about unbearable. She destroyed so many's hopes and dreams and for what?!? Alex told her he loved her and she does this?!? This woman is dangerous! She's displayed not one iota of remorse or compassion. There's something terribly wrong with Ezra McCandless!
