I think she did and said a lot of things so she could have an excuse to be with other people- I think she probably was very narcissistic and wanted “ relationships” with either sex. @Seeker0fTruth
@Seeker0fTruth 7 месяцев назад
@@yepisaidit1855Although…the one pro here is that by doing so, the defense has fewer opportunities to claim there should be a mistrial… or file other file various petitions even after the (now) guilty verdict. The more explanation of process by the court and judge regarding rulings leaves less wiggle room after the clear conviction. I agree in the one sense, but for the sake of the long game (aka lock her up and throw away the key) I’m apt to agree with the judges approach here. In addition, following the conviction and during sentencing, I found his commentary the most robust and just weighing of the facts if the case and considering what it means to have “justice” be served. Made me want to become an attorney (I’ve considered it before) in order to one day become a judge. Honorable profession…especially when undertaken with care, skill, and respect. I applaud the honorable judge.

I find it ironic that the defense was trying to keep out a set of text messages where Alex is literally talking about the defendant yet they had no problem reading his journal entries that don’t pertain to anyone in particular. Being allowed to read those journals entries out loud the way he did, essentially providing testimony, should’ve been shut down immediately and just like the prosecution asked they should’ve been shown to the witness first before being read aloud. That came off as sleezy and underhanded
@michaeldavis2001
@michaeldavis2001 7 месяцев назад
Sleazy and underhanded pretty much sums up the defence. They wanted to keep out the text messages because they are very revealing about Ezra. Plus, they were more than happy to characterise the deceased as violent but want to disallow any testimony concerning him being peaceful. And any testimony about Ezra's sexual antics are, strangely, 'irrelevant' because they show her to be self-serving and dishonest.

The defence attorney spends a lot of his time putting words into the mouths of witnesses. A slimy bugger who wants to characterise everyone but the murderer as evil. He knows full well that Ezra stabbed Alex SIXTEEN TIMES, but wants to show Alex as the aggressor. He TELLS Brianna several times that she saw Jason after she tells him that she saw Alex. He appears to be angling at Jason killing Alex, which is ridiculous! During his objection, the attorney states that Ezra' making a sexual allegation was false. The ALLEGATION was false, but she DID make it. It's always funny to me when they make you swear to tell "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth", then prevent you from doing so. Apparently, you can slander the victim, but you can't defend his character. The last four words of the defence attorney's opening were; "That's who he was!" He's a liar.

Maybe she does some splitting. Maybe she does have explosive anger ? A friend of hers. testified in this trial that she would sometimes drastically change her makeup the way she looked, her hair....even her beliefs, and the way she kind of floated in and out of things, college and jobs. Those are things that look like an identity disturbance, not the gender stuff, although that's part of it and the changing her name that also goes along with it. I'd be interested to know if a psychologist ever diagnosed her with anything Ps Look at the way she's presenting at this trial according to the people who know her. This is a different person. She killed him out of anger because she couldn't control him or because she thought he was the "problem" in the way of her getting back with Jason or wouldn't help her with getting him back. It wasn't out of fear of abandonment. It was anger. I think a lot of young, college-aged kids try out difference personalities when trying to figure out who they are. That's not exclusive to BPD. @@Roswell33yeah the art from Ezra is definitely mediocre at best, but I think Alex was talented with words. if he was alive I can only imagine how far he would have gone. maybe it’s because I’m comparing him to the people in my age range (I’m 25), but most people I know don’t write or even think as philosophically as Alex did. he might not have been as such a grand writer, but he was a good kid…
@Yes_Anastasia

@@rizumu-8937eh…it’s nothing anyone with a first year philosophy class couldn’t write. Not trying to be negative or nit picky, just giving an opinion. And you know what they say about those. But yeah, the “Come as you are, flaws and all…” essay kinda gave me second hand embarrassment. But you know what? He seemed like a troubled kind of kid who had a lot of thoughts ruminating around in his head and he was a thinker. Which to me is always cool. So who cares if he had a future in writing or not, he didn’t deserve such a fate, and had he been given the chance, and with more exposure to literature, he could have been great. Who knows. It’s a shame.

There's a whole lot of penis in the world, do you really have to shop for one (or two) in your boyfriend's friend's list? So, she effs two of his close friends, but then she's also running around telling anyone who will listen that Jason is controlling and toxic. HE is toxic!! Then, when she gets caught, rather than face the consequences, she lies and says both of them SA'ed her. Granted, Jason encouraged her to report them, but SHE knew it wasn't true, yet rather than take the L on the relationship, she marches her butt down there and lies on both of those men to the police. Then, yet again when she wants to "get back together" with the boyfriend she cheated on, and who SHE broke up with, she kills one of the men she was effing. And then YET AGAIN says he assualted her, and that he often assualted her. This woman is an absolute monster, far beyond the Single White Female, or Fatal Attraction characters. She is a major threat to society, and it's disappointing that the judge gave her ANY shot at parole ever! You know, given that she refused to let Jason go inside with her at the clinic, I'm not even positive she actually ever had an @b@rtion. She's manipulative and scummy enough to do absolutely anything it takes to get what she wants. I trust nothing she says.

Those men are also assholes for sleeping with their friend’s girlfriend. Alex is the victim and he didn’t deserve to die obviously but Jason was his friend and it was a dick move to sleep with his girlfriend. I’ve met these types of men who consider themselves so caring but their “help” is much more self serving than it seems.

it's disheartening to listen how Samantha talked about Alex and how kind he was only for the defense to try and taint his character while the prosecution`s trying to preserve the victim`s life and legacy, the only objective of the defense was to make it seem like he was a maniac sexual deviant monster. Reading his journals as facts, even though everyone knew he was a philosophical writer in most of them, is horrible because that was all there was left of him. I know the defense is doing their duty of that, but it`s particularly horrible to present these things as facts and try to prevent the prosecution from making pertinent questions to the witnesses is ridiculous tbh

There isn't a logical excuse for murder in situations like this. I know society, led by the medical profession, like to use the excuse of 'mental health', etc, blah, blah, blah, but it's far simpler than that. It's hatred combined with emotional immaturity, while living in a nation that has such a low value for life (gun ownership anyone!?!), enhanced by a media that generates paranoia, and a society and government that put so much value on personal wealth and gain, which inadvertently highlights the worthlessness of the less fortunate/wealthy/educated, and those with fewer potential prospects. The 'mental health' 'issue' is born from society, the environment people are exposed to. There are billions of people in the world who live in far less wealthy/caring nations/communities, with zero prospects, education, standards of living who have a million more reasons to suffer the 'mental health' issues of a first world, rich, developed nation. Everyone hates something or someone; but people with a little common sense and emotional maturity, that puts some value on life, walks away or ignores what angers and upsets them. You're absolutely right, as a young woman with a potentially bright future ahead of her, she's completely thrown away her life. But the same is true of every murderer.

Ezra's lies were going to crash out bad. She had made a fake grape accusation against somebody in her friend group. Alex knew this was false and he wasn't going to support her lie. This meant that Jason was about to learn what type of woman Ezra was. Her entire reputation within her friend group was in tatters. She'd destroyed Jason's baby and he didn't want her anymore. She didn't want to move back in with her father, who, in his own words, didnt' even want her to drive. She couldn't hold down a job or pay her own rent. She needed to re-exert control over her group, and the easiest way she thought she could wiggle her way back into control was to murder Alex.

Every single person I have ever met who identifies as "nonbinary" or is male one day and female another has had the same effect on those around them as Ezra had on her social network. These individuals are almost always some flavor mix of cluster -B and cause chaos, confusion, and division wherever they go. I am not speaking of trans individuals. I am speaking about specifically "nonbinary" individuals from about a decade of anecdotal observation. For these individuals, identifying as nonbinary is about gaining power and control over others by constantly shifting the goal post and telling others that they control objective reality.
