My eyes aren't getting any younger. I needed more size on the screen, and the added features are a major plus. Android Auto nav, truck gauges, more audio customization, etc. This unit even made the factory speakers sound better! #trucks #audio

The $25 option to have Crutchfield connect all the wiring harnesses for you is WELL worth it!! Also, the one part that was wrong in the instructions is the part that tells you how to orient the ribbon cable for the HVAC functions. The ribbon cable actually had to be installed opposite of how the instructions said. Now it all works perfectly.

Not installation, they will connect the harness components together- you still have to connect harness to the car harness points and move the climate control elements to the new bezels

What year is the truck? Crutchfield says they don’t recommend replacing the radio on a 2022 truck.

I did same install except for I used a Kenwood DMX809S instead of JVC with all components from Crutchfield for $1000. Year and options on your truck may dictate some changes.

If you call Crutchfield they will provide recommendations based on your truck’s year and options installed. I have a 2017 XL and did the same install as the video, except I used a Kenwood receiver: Kenwood Excelon DMX809S $500 iDatalink KIT-FTR1 Dash and Wiring Kit $192 iDatalink Maestro RR interface module. $150 iDatalink ACC-HU-KEN2 specific harness $10 SirusXM SXV300V1 Tuner. $70
