Well it sucks as a lamp but might be a good stove. Yellow flame for light, or in the case of a lantern white, blue flame for a stove. This thing is somewhere in between.
this is the heat source for an F.B. Rogers silverplate coffee urn or hot water dispenser. I know because I have one and found this video on how to use it.
