At 8:34 this moment Alma want to hugs her lost son so sweet, creepy and sad at the same time :) but Point man so shock and frightened to his nightmare mommy as you can see he breathing heavily like adrenaline. Best game ever and awesome storyline
I chose not to shoot her at 8:40 and got killed for it. It's actually pretty arbitrary, given at 8:52 and 9:18 she doesn't kill you; she just vanishes once she reaches you.
just shit all over you, smear feces into the evelator dance to the music pay our depts after 3 years of h aving -10000 in the bank, what do you cook tonight????
Alma was a severely troubled child, gifted with tremendous psychic powers, and as a result she suffered nightmares and was attuned to the negative emotions of the people around her. At the age of only three, Armacham Technology Corporation inducted Alma into Project Paragon, where they tested her for every known psychic ability. Alma passed all tests, and, should she appear not to have any power, her father would work tirelessly with her until she was able to focus her powers and complete the objective. She was experimented on tirelessly to discover the source of her powers and how they responded to external stimuli, including being subjected to electroshock therapy. When Alma was five, she began to fail all her tests, and it was discovered that she was purposefully failing them so that the company would stop experimenting on her. Sometime later, she started a fire in one of their laboratories. Armacham scientists began to have vivid nightmares, sudden mood changes, and delusions, and it was concluded that Alma was psychically attacking them. Soon after, Armacham made plans to keep Alma alive, but to also stop her from being able to harm their employees. Alma being dragged to the Vault by ATC guards. In her seventh year, Alma was recruited into Armacham Technology Corporation's Project Origin with the aim of creating psychics from a psychic fore-bearer, and to keep her from using her psychic powers against Armacham's scientists. Two days before her eighth birthday, she was put into an induced coma and locked in the Vault, a spherical structure located deep inside the secret Origin Facility, blocking her psychic abilities. A note that can be found in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin suggests Alma may have already killed at least one person before being put into a coma. As well, she is seen with blood on her legs when ATC guards transport her to the Vault. During the project, Alma was impregnated twice with clone embryos, made from her own DNA, combined with genetic contributions from various Origin staffers, including Harlan Wade. She gave birth to the First Prototype, the Point Man, when she was only 15 years old, and then a second, Paxton Fettel, when she was 16. Alma merged her consciousness with that of Fettel when he was 10, causing a Synchronicity Event and prompting ATC to shut down Project Origin completely and to "pull the plug" on Alma. Her life support system was removed and she died six days later. Alma was 26 at the time of her death.
she is by far the most terrifying paranormal...ghost or whatever I have ever encountered in any fiction. way scarier than Samara (The Ring) or Kayako (The Grudge) or Marina (Friend Request) though I do like those three quite a lot. not to mention the fact Alma is way more powerful. Even though she was 26 at the time of her death it is interesting that she mostly portrays herself as other ages; sometimes she makes herself look scary, others more attractive...sometimes younger and innocent...other more sinister. She is a complex character.
@@IDyce88 Alma is the lesser evil though, unlike Kayako or Sadako, she actually didn't want to kill her sons she loves and cares for them. But Kayako kills everyone on sight, even killed her own mother too she is pure hatred incarnate.
@@deadrock1678 yes but Alma is far more powerful than Kayako...her psychic powers combined with her supernatural essence enables her to control entire armies and reduce entire cities to ruins
I still remember panic firing when that happened. FEAR had some brilliant jump scares since it didn't play an extra loud sound but it still makes you jump.
Alma may be the best video game character ever created. She is the only thing to have ever given me nightmares in my adult life but still makes you feel sorry for her at the same time.
The more I rewatch Alma's best moments, the less I want to see her added to Dead by Daylight. I can't imagine them doing her justice and keeping her from being insanely OP at the same time.
There was talk of adding her to Dead by Daylight? No, no, no, no, no! They will either make her so weak that she would just seem like a typical ghost girl or she'll be so powerful that she literally breaks the game
I think that the strongest fright I ever had is at 2:24 in this video. Seriously, I almost screamed and I kept freezed there for a good 1 minute at the very least. I had closed all the lights and I was really in the game. This was SO unexpected from me. Only AVP 2 made me as much on the edge than in FEAR 1. There are Alien Isolation and Outlast on Steam that look pretty scary too and I will probably try them in the future. But FEAR 1 is the most frightening experience I ever had to date.
Роман Вайвала Unfortunately, I still haven't played it yet. I missed it when it was still in the stores. I would have to buy back the game on GOG to get it. I might do it someday since it's pretty cheap.
That moment of despair when you're escaping (and in this case in a helicopter) and the fcking thing just pops up cuz it followed you for some fcking reason and you're like "Oh. My. God."
wow, good eye man! i missed a few of these back when i had the game.... pretty much all of em still give me chills =p great game with a superb story, and a pretty awesome video too!
yes if you notice in the last level of the original games when she tries walks towards you she has her arms open wide as if to embrace you. in the game if you let her embrace you you die instantly.. she wants you to die so that she can be with her little boy forever.. twisted yeah but still sad. all she wanted was to be with her two babies and they robbed her of that when she was alive.
Which is why all of those horror movies could never happen. "Hey, did you see something? It looked like a little girl. Let's go check it out." Real life - "Was that a creepy little girl? Fuck that shit, Timmy can get a new cat."
The scene at 7:43 is definitely the creepiest in the game... OK so you're seeing this corpse walking slowly towards you... and as if that wasn't scary enough, it suddenly CRAWLS towards you in hyperspeed! Seriously, it's scary if you play the game.
PFFFFF. So did I and there, Alma is nothing more than a plot device that barely appears and a cheap way to try to get players scared. Wusses might have, but not me and many other F.E.A.R. fans.
Really good compilation. The ingame segments are well-acted, specially the very 1st one. And you die just as the video fades out at the end, don't you :)
This game has so many examples of jumpscare done right. They also vary and are not always accentuated with loud sounds. And those actions Alma does are very discordant to that enviroment. She acts like a child playing hide-and-seek.
I hear from Game Informer, that Project Origin, the next game, will have ACTUALLY DANGEROUS horror sequences, giving you a reason to stay on your toes.
I wish the whole game would've been like this, having a lot more involvement with Alma. I probably would've enjoyed it more if it had been. Alma was the only reason I cared to play the first F.E.A.R. game.
4:13 has to be one of the scariest moments in the entire game. Another memorable moment was earlier in the game when you are stuck walking slowly through a 1-way vent and she comes out at you. This part happens at 2:16 I believe? That made me jump big time when I played 2 years ago.
5:05. I completely forgot about that... to the point where I still don't even remember it after seeing it again. It actually startled me a little watching it right now, lol.
Haha, when I was going down the ladder and she was right there, I just shrieked and kept climbing down. I looked back up and she was gone. I screamed "Fuck you Alma!" I moved to keep going, but then there was a guy who was literally right there in my face. I screamed again and escaped by shooting everything with my shotgun, then I proceeded in jumping off the ledge and commuting suicide XD
That Demo Expert in F.E.A.R. (Douglas Holiday) is the same guy who voiced Master Sergeant Avery Jones Johnson. The voice actor is David Scully. The More You Know!
Holy shit, I so need a better pc, thank god for Christmas Sales for Dell XPS :D I'll get one soon... But I NEVER Noticed the Alma shadow that runs past when you pick up the health boost, mainly because I hardly have shadows on :( damn my pc and how it ruins my F.E.A.R. Experience! Nice vid btw, high specs and clear visuals, scary too :)
I'm fairly certain the a normal soldier brought to these strange things would most likely: Cry out in terror and then begin firing his weapon at just about anything.
In most cases it turns out that she's actually trying to warn the player of coming danger. That, and, she's trying to kill EVERYBODY. And to clarify, that's Alma's spirit that you're seeing. She's long dead.
