The reason why China stayed in the game on F1 2020 and Hockenheim not, is because China would have been on the 2020 irl calendar while Hockenheim wasn't.

Red flags can be if they updated the barrier physics and a barrier "needs to be repaired" after a heavy crash

I would defo pay for a DLC including Sepang & Hockenheim.

Hockenheim should be brought back... it wouldn't take much at all to port it over from 2019. Especially considering this is still using those same base files from atleast 2018.

F1 World is in my opinion a p2w. They have said you can build the car via XP Boost or Pitcoins. There are bundles of pitcoins that you can buy in the shop section of the game. Cannot wait to see a topped up maxed car with 400kmph

To your point about the possibility of DLC tracks... Personally, I'm all for it... BUT, If you want to open that can of worms, there's plenty of room to move, because even though it's under the EA Sports banner now, the game is still developed and published by the great people at Codemasters... who've been responsible for the product since 2010, meaning they've taken us through the PS3 and PS4 era, and now into PS5 territory. So, if they've kept all the software, content and data they've developed over the years on file somewhere, there's another 11 circuits, on top of Hockenheim and Sepang, that they could drop into the game, for our enjoyment; - Sochi Autodrome (Russian GP - unlikely, due to the stance taken on the Ukraine invasion) - Hanoi Circuit (Vietmenese GP - never raced on in real life, but included in the F1 2020 game) - The Endurance configuration of the Bahrain International Circuit (2010 Bahrain GP) - Nurburgring & the Valencia Street Circuit (European GP) - Istanbul Park (Turkish GP) - Buddh International Circuit (Indian GP) - Korea International Circuit (Korean GP) PLUS, the three 'classic' circuits dropped in F1 2013... Estoril (Portugal), Brands Hatch (Great Britain), and Jerez (Spain). More importantly... there's also a further TWO circuits that haven't seen the light of day on an F1 game, after coming to the rescue of the sport, during the COVID compromised 2020 season... namely, Mugello in Italy (where MotoGP is racing tonight), and the Outer configuration of the Bahrain circuit. As it stands, thanks to the inclusion of three Grand Prix circuits not on the 2023 calendar (China, France and Portugal), players will be able to race on a record-breaking 26 different circuits, which isn't bad. BUT, in saying all of that, here's another observation... In F1 22, if you go into 'SOLO', and play a standalone Grand Prix Weekend, you can run a SPRINT race on ANY circuit. In the same way you've got drivers switching teams mid-season, in career mode (Lewis is in a Red Bull, and Daniel is in a Mercedes right now in mine), I'd like to see more creative licence given to the players themselves, whereby they could choose which (now) SIX Grand Prix feature the SPRINT format. Currently, the only creative licence players have, is the ability to swap out a couple of Grand Prix, for a race (China, France and Portugal) not currently on the calendar... but, I'd really like to see us have the ability to construct the calendar ourselves, from scratch (still 23 rounds, but in any order you like).

I am glad there is PCVR support as I ordered a Pimax Crystal. So I can't wait as a current user of a old HTC Vive.

I wish when a red flag is triggered, we manually drive into the pits and manually drive out for the formation lap for a standing start

i think other red flag causes might also be track blockages not by broken down/destroyed cars, but simply by having multiple cars parked up and unable to move out of the way. another one might be damaged barriers.

After red flag before the restart, will there be an option to choose between standing start and rolling start or will it be standing start always

In the Xbox store in the discription stays the 4 icons from braking point and the 4 new icons they are Mansell, Chadwick, Maldonado and kobayashi. The braiking point icons are butler, Jackson, mayer and Akkerman

Someone noticed a thin green line around the throttle bar (and a red line around the brake bar)? On the Vegas gameplay I've noticed that it changes size. I wonder if this represents something about battery recovery

Suggestion for what else could trigger a red flag: Extreme weather, Debris on track and cars stopped on track were mentioned. That then also includes red Flagged training sessions due to a spin or a car stuck in the gravel traps as we've seen irl before. I could imagine though that red flags could be triggered due to rather unusual occasions, if they were implemented into the game. Thinking: loose track parts (e.g. bits of a DRS sign), Fans or Pitcrew on track, start delay due to engine failure in starting grid, dog or umbrella on track (has happened irl before 😅)

Nothing to overcome the fact EA are now the key holder of the franchise. A good ride from F1 2010 to F1 2020 not to mention 30 odd years of Codemasters games over many systems. I just can’t get passed EA though, nah.

Maybe with the red flags is that it is when someone hits the wall that then they have to fix the wall.

If they are moving to a new engine next year, Lazer scanning into an old engine would be a waste of resources. Hopefully building the tracks up again from fresh in a new engine. Be intersting if red flags could lead to timed races if it happens a lot

Alex, you are incorrect on laser scanned, Las Vegas is laser scanned (0:33 - shows the points from the laser scan). Qatar they also didn't use any FOM data. Lidar isn't what you think it is, it effectively is a scan from the air, not the ground like Vegas.

You're still pronouncing Qatar wrong (literally everyone in the west pronounce it wrong. It is NOT pronounced as QATAAAR. It's Qatar, lose the 'AAR' at the end. That's the CORRECT pronounciation.
