in order, the way I did it. Muffler/secondary cat delete, chargepipe, air intake, front mount intercooler, catless downpipe, and bootmod3! Happy modding Kevin!

How does ur car sound with the 2nd cat being deleted (mid pipe) with Catless downpipe? I’m running ER CP DP FMIC AFE intake MST turbo inlet an Remus axle back an stage 2 91 oct.

Craeftig I never really noticed much of a change from removing the secondary cat tbh. I just found out it was there, and if I removed it I wouldn’t throw a code so I decided to just delete it altogether👌🏼

This looks amazing. So what's the deal? I just want to make sure I understand. You flash the transmission, but it somehow increases the torque of the engine in 3rd and 6th? And that's OK, because it's the same transmission that the n55 connects to (so it can handle higher torque limits)? Is that right? Is the higher torque OK for the engine though? I've heard smaller engines with small turbos can only handle so much torque -- and after a certain point it's safer to go with a bigger turbo that makes more power in the higher RPM ranges, rather than down low. Is the 20+ of boost pressure pretty conservative for the n20? Sorry; just starting out.

Your'e correct! Because on the the stock trans flash , 3rd and 6th gear load/torque targets (boost) are lower. So even with just ecu flash it wont necessarily get you all the boost psi that you could otherwise get when its paired with a transmission flash. Hope that helps! Is "Wifi adapter" manufactured by Botmod the only way to connect the car to the phone? I was thinking to attach an tablet to display the gauges thats in botmod

Marzouq Alkindi you can certainly do it thru a tablet. You just either need your laptop with you or a bm3 WiFi device. If you go back a couple videos of mine I show you how to make your own tuning computer for $40 and it just stays in your car so you never need a laptop

What happened if I’ve already flashed through xHP Stage 3 trans tune? Which is better? The BootMod3 or the xHP trans flash? Can you flash both, one after the other? Or would that just confuse the sh*t out of the ECU?

I'm more concerned about everyday driving. Do the rpm sit higher than normal? Shift later than normal? This is the sole reason I havent gone ahead and done the trans flash

So whats the best way to go about this? I current have a 320i n20 thats OBD tuned to 284hp, so i am not looking for a new map for the engine, but only the transmission.. Whats my best (and cheapest) option then?

NooL id look into either getting just the bm3 transmission flash of you could go with xhp...zxp... I forget the exact abbreviation but it’s close to that and they make just a trans flash! How that helps

From bootmod they told me the following: We are doing a new pedal function for the config that will fix this.

ShowtimeBruins because it’s a trans flash and not ecu, I don’t believe so. But it does unlock more boost which would be directly correlated to your cp so that’s a great question. I wish I had a solid answer 🥴

@@ConnorLee it would be nice to know if this should be safely done for stage 1 flash or stage 2 flash or both. A recommendation could go along way like doing stage 2 warning mods to support is cp and fmic... I'm still on stage 1 with stock cp so i"m hesitant to try it with more boost, mind asking bm3? btw great video and content, gonna have to get some elevated gear soon!

having sports automatic transmission is awesome. but tuning the transmission with BM3 afterwards is way better. keep in mind that some bmw's come with SAT from the factory, and people still tune their transmission with BM3 after. both combined are amazing!

Bootmod3 trans tune and sport transmission is not the same at all. I had sports trans coded and its not necessarily faster shift points but more aggressive so you feel the shifts more but then bootmod3 finally released transmission flash i jumped in my car during lunch to flash and its night and day difference. Faster and smoother shifts, and manual mode is noticeably more responsive.

I think you flashed your car wrong if you where only getting 10PSI. I had the same problem until someone told me we should be getting 20-21. I messaged BM3 and they took care of me

Dominick Steele it was flashed correctly, that’s just what they reported were the average boost levels in gear 3 and 6. Never payed super close attention to my psi in those gears before but I just assumed I was in the same boat as everyone Sorry I don’t want to sound like I’m correcting you but that’s just my take ✌🏼

Surely bmw has made better faster cars but n26 is very unique experience for those who couldn’t afford the 335 and m3 to still want to pursuit the car enthusiast life.
