I can only imagine how cool it would have been to be a Phantom pilot back in the 60’s when it was the pinnacle of fighter aviation. Only sixty years prior the Wright brothers struggled to fly a few hundred feet in a wood and fabric aircraft.
There was an upgrade program called Super Phantom with much more powerful PW turbofan engines which massively boosted F-4 performance but unfortunately McDonnell Douglas didn't like the competition it posed against the newer F/A-18 and so the programme eventually hit a dead end.
Andravida! Do the greece pilots a lot of low level flying? And when they do, where do they that? I was several times in Gastouni near Andravida and I was in the near hills and mountains in the hope to see some low level flying. Like in the video at 02:17. But no, nothing. Only the "normal cross country traffic" and a little high flying at sea near the coast of Gastouni and Amaliada. I will go back to Greece this or next year for a few weeks, maybe somebody can give me a tipp? Except the music a nice vid!
Occasionally they do some low flying but not often, you've been unlucky, sometimes they fly that low my doors start wobbling. It's a great feeling to be honest, I live there. Besides summertime vacation in the area, which is a popular destination for Germans like you, you should consider coming in the Iniohos multinational exercise during April as a spotter if you own a camera. You'll enjoy them taxing 20 meters in front of you.

The rudder is only used for roll control inputs at low speeds and high AOA, at normal speeds and AOA, the spoilers and ailerons are used in conjunction with the ARI for roll control inputs...
