Does the hornet not have nvg's anymore? I've tried it and I can't seem to have them pop up. I just end up doing instrument flying at night

Now you have to ask Ground crew to equip them first before takeoff.

I've never had to press the "Exterior Lights Master" switch for them to work. Gave me some frustration when I went to other craft and lights weren't coming on.

Maybe it's your gain? Idk exactly how NVGs work but if you can't see the mountain it's might be because you're gain is too low so they aren't picking up the low light.

@@KomradeDoge Thanks for the comment. I submitted the bug and DCS is working it. I've tried all the gain settings and nothing seems to work to see the mountains on a moonless night. Prior to DCS OB 2.7 the NVGs worked great to see mountains in moonless nights, now the mountains are just dark areas. I like flying from Nellis AFB to Creech AFB, low level and moonless night though a canyon, it is now impossible with the release of 2.7. I hope DCS gives priority to fix functions that used to work.

@@snodgrassw2 hmm. I was referring to the real like applications of NVGs but if you've already tried every gain setting then it's for sure a bug. If it's a moonless night the I know that IRL night vision goggles still have a pretty dark view. They do require some ambient light to work properly, so it could be this way is the "proper" realistic way they work and 2.7 actually fixed a overly bright NVG problem.

Cap with my cataracts I couldn’t see in the DCS Settings what you selected to make a Hotas or Flight Stick selection to get the goggles on. Was that night vision goggles that I need to look up, then select a button to assign the NVG to? Thank you and please.

Where can I find "External lights -> aft" One of the A/G training missions tells to do that, but... Where? Should it just read "off" (is it just typo in trainer..? Or am I just stupid? )
