Guys Pakistan developed these versions for ground attack and to replace their 300 Mirage 3 and Mirage 5 aircrafts, for Block 1-2 the aerial combat was not PAF priority. The model in game is block 1.4 and its very outdated and Pakistan have less than 30 of these in their inventory. The Block 3 is designed with air-combat in mind and it has AESA radar, better engine, PL-15's, Helmet mounted display and a lot of technologies used in J-20. I hope you guys use that model for air-combat and Pakistan have acquired 50 of them and may upgrade some block 2 airframes to Block 3 standards now.

The block that we have in the game is some where between block 2 and block 3. Block 1 didn't had dual racks and ls600 while in the game we have dual racks sd10s and ls600s.

I actually expected such a result. The SD 10 is a crazy missile in DCS - the data link overview and the pilot interface give you a good overview, especially in a stressful situation. On the Hornet, the radar is not always confident and provides extra stress ease of use

In the JF-17s make sure you select combat power for the AB to get max performance, not a huge increase but it makes somewhat of a difference

Cap, when you're setting up your SD-10's, set the target size to small. This significantly decreases the pitbull range which means your target has far less time to react. It will dramatically increase your PK agaisnt manuvering targets.

The Jf-17 is an interesting aircraft, ashamed it doesn't get attention as much and i like how soft the voice is in the Jf-17 while everyone else screams at you.

The JF-17 would be totally out classed by the Eurofighter Typhoon, but the one I'd like to see is the Typhoon vs. The J-10C.

JF17 B3 does have AESA and PL15E, but considering PL15E(E for export) is about 50km shorter ranged to PLAAF’s own PL15, it’s not winning that much against the meteor. Also latest typhoon have a larger AESA and better engines, so if it’s on paper then typhoon definitely wins... But again, the leading isn’t large enough, you will never know how the match up would end up like in reality...

I thought that they were great Fights by both Teams! And I didn't see anything out of the ordinary for the Jf's to win. The Hornet looked way better at speed and monevering so it doesn't make much sense like you say. I think that is just the way the Rounds went. But the Hornet still looks way better and more advanced than the Jf's do by a good amount! So in Real Life I think the Hornet would make a huge difference than on DCS. Either way it was Great BvR Fights! You did some really good flying today also CAP! And keeping SA basically all the time, and then providing your team with Info! Great Job TEAM GR!!!

JF 17-Cap there is a point in the hud that gives you the lead for the missile. You always aimed with the aiming circle in combat and thereby didn't give your missliles the advantage they could have had. I'm just saying. Otherwise very nice.

He doesn't know the lead indicator, he didn't realize he still had an SD10, be didn't know how to uncage the fox 2, you don't have to manually loft. It does that automatically. he's clearly a noob with the jf17

I agree he is flying too many diferent jets. To be honest the Fox 2 seeker 0:08 uncage was a bit buggy for a while. GROWLING Sidewinder had the same issues during a df 😊

I expected this match-up would be more even. The Jeff is on par technology-wise, it lost to the speed of the 16. Would be interesting to see F18 vs F16 next, or maybe bring in the old-tech F14. Liking this series!

Cap, here's a stupid idea for you. How many JF-17s necessary to take down a 5th gen stealth? Obviously its not a fair fight one on one but it would be interesting and entertaining (considering y'all are the grim reapers) to see a bunch of these planes attempt to hunt a stealth. Eventually you'll overwhelm the stealth but I am curious as to how many of these JF-17s it would take. I almost look at this airplane as "baby's first modern fighter jet" lol.

Hey, Cap. Got a video idea/question for you: F-15C vs. F-16C and/or F-15EX vs F-16 Blk 70. I know F-16Cs are meant to be the LightWeight Fighter, to plus up the bigger F-15Cs, but in terms of both Dogfighting and especially BVR, haven't seen fights between those aircraft. I know F-16s would win the dogfights and lose the BVR but still a very curious topic. Would greatly appreciate your opinions or your take on this (Never played DCS, but a huge fan of you guys, so no idea how each aircraft feel like).

Can you set a 1980's US Carrier correctly? Corsairs and F14's plus A6's? Then set it out against the standard opponents (UK, Russia, China, 2020 US etc). Can you also do "which carrier group is the best for each country?"

At 60 nm set engine setting combat for extra power, climb at 5 degrees and set radar in TWS. Also change azimuth to 10 degrees for faster lock

May I ask what's difference between TWS and RWS for the jeff, besides the functions differently? Does TWS make the target easier to track or to lock?

Track while scan (TWS) gives you gen heading of tgt, range while scan (RWS) just shows a blip on radar display, this helps in ascertaining how bandit is apch the fight. Like hot/ cold or notch. TWS on default is set for recommended BAR settings etc for combat. RWS settings are recon oriented.@@peacefultyranny8981

I’d still like to know where the developer of the JF-17 got their info as to the performance of the radar, weapons systems, ECM and flight; considering only one nation really uses it and the Chinese (who built it with them) don’t publish that stuff. Not saying it isn’t a great aircraft…just questioning how they would know

They got the information from CIAC (the Chinese aircraft manufacturer) after getting permission from Bejing. Since China doesn't operate the aircraft they don't care about releasing data on it. Same is true about Deka's next module which is the J8PP (the only J8 model that never entered service). Conversely, Deka can't get permission for any aircraft in Chinese service, so the J10, JH-7, etc, are all out of the question as far as flyable aircraft modules go.

Not that you guys didn't do an exceptional combat job in DCS, but I think in real life the Hornets will win this engagement in real life. Especially with concise mission planning and parameters by the Hornets.

Not giving the hornet it's full load of missiles is kinda stupid. Half of winning the fight is weapon capacity which the murder hornet has in spades. If the JF17 is a POS in terms of load out so be it.

Killer shoots are better than Spamraam. Thats why the F-16, F-15E, JF-17 of other aircraft are better than the F-18 for BVR. Its not the quantity, its the quality

@@OjitosArtthis. Also the main advantage the F18 has here is speed which it loses when you put 12 missiles on it.
