Karen , as someone who has loved this craft of sewing for many years, I find your videos a breath of fresh air, I love your excitement as you go on the journey of matching patterns and fabric (the most fun for me) and you always seem to get it just right! As for your rambling; it makes me smile as I see the wheels turning! You’re a delight to watch!
Thank you so much! Joyce, at least you found my rambling helpful. I get passionate and pretty excited and even forget the audience when talking about fabric and the plans.😀 I hope to get more sewing done, but I struggle with plans and thoughts when my sewjo returns. It's as if there is a backlog and my wants to get out. I value your time and experience. Thanks so so much for watching 🙂
Hi Karon, what a beautiful fabric haul + nice patterns to go with it. You have a great eye for matching fabric with pattern and I can’t wait to see that “Zebra” fabric all sewn up 🙌🏻🙌🏻. Happy sewing 🧵 🪡👗🧵🪡👗💕💕
Your plans are, as always, very inspirational. Every time I see your videos I want to order sewing patterns, have a rummage through my fabric stash and start sewing. Thank you!!
Wonderful! I am happy to have helped to inspire your creativity. We love sewing and, at some point along the journey, have inspired each other. I appreciate your feedback. Happy sewing🙂
Karon I look forward to your videos every week. You really have inspired me to dust of my machines and get sewing. Unfortunately for me, last night my brother serger decided to act up again and I remembered all the beautiful French seams you do on your projects and decided to pack up the serger and I went all the way French seams. I am most likely going to treat myself to an air threading serger sometime this year because I love knit projects. For now I am back to woven sewing and going French seam route. Thanks so much for being an inspiration ❤ looking forward to your vacation wardrobe
Oh no, Cheri. Sergers can be such a pain; however, you now have two opportunities as a result of the situation. You get to replace it with a good one, less stressful, and you will now use your French seam technique. I am excited about your new serger plan and can't wait for you to purchase, but I'm most excited about your French seam journey 😄
The cotton gauze with the McCall's 8035 will be a nice combo. I made a summer dress that has a gathered tiered skirt with that fabric and added a lining made out of cotton lawn. I did not tier the lining and it is a comfortable summer dress.
