Valla is my favorite hero - mained her from day 1. Carried me all the way to diamon league back when that was a thing

I've always preferred ranged dps type characters over in your face melee. Valla is my favourite low stress ranged attacker, although Jim Laner isn't too bad, either.

If the enemy has scary melee characters like the Butcher or Smash Varian, I usually go Farflight Quiver for the range. But if their frontline is a bunch of thicc bois who do little damage on their own like Tyrael, Blaze, or ETC then I pick up Storm of Vengeance because each Hatred stack gives 2% attack speed plus an additional 30% when at max Hatred. So if you manage to stay alive the whole game, you're at 75% attack speed and can melt anyone who doesn't immediately kill you just by looking in your direction

Cool character, obviously modeled off D3 Demon Hunter, like Nazeebo is Witch Doctor and Kharazim is the Monk, but looked fun! Never even heard of HOTS before seeing the Deep Dive series.

fun fact, you can clear for free with death dealer since it procs off all targets, means you can also move A LOT almost instantly in lane if you chain kill minions with it

Always take storm of vengeance at lvl 20 if you go the extra damage per 3rd attack at 16.

Getting Storm of Vengeance is definitely the way to go with the auto attack build. What's better than the +25% attack speed for the level 1 gambit? How about an extra up to +50% attack speed! If you can keep the full gambit your attack speed becomes insane at level 20.

That attack stopped loss is the reason I am a Q build die hard. The loss of that speed with no way to get it back coupled with vallas fragility/quick match bs just makes it not worth it. If I stack the Q well I can delete literally everyone.

It's kind of weird with her level 7 and 13 talents. With some champions the type of talents is reversed such as Varian.

I'm sure that "gambit" passive has played no part in toxicity of games. For sure. Yup. No one has quit after having some bad luck and a few deaths a not accepting being gimped. Why did they add that?!

face build being uselss for the better part of 12 minutes has turned me off it. i feel like im way more usefull either going Q or W and lategame having manticore makes me feel almost as usefull by itself as i do just going face build.

I'm not particularly good with Valla, but to me she has a few too many weak spots. First of all her hp is one of the lowest in the game. Second her attack range is too short for that little hp (No the lvl 20 upgrade doesn't fix it. You want that baseline or as a quest from lvl 1, not at lvl 20 when the game is pretty much over). Third her defences are too weak for her shit hp and attack range. Either the spell shield or the lifesteal should be baseline or quests from lvl 1 not at lvl 13 when you have to pick one lackluster defensive over the other. Either give her more survivability that way or boost her hp by 30% because right now she dies whenever someone sneezes in her general direction.

Pally not using the ugliest skin for every hero challenge (impossible)

The devs really hate Valla. no other character has a talent that makes them weaker as the game goes on.

Hanamura again. No thanks. Boring map, constantly going for samurai and worst map to show the versatility and strength of a hero.
