And you know what's even better? Portraying people with assistive mobility structures as 'fakers' because they don't fit your very narrow view of what being disabled is! (Even though disability equipment costs far more than it should do and would put anybody disabled in a poorer situation than they'd already be in due to their situation). Wow. I've seen poor people make their kids ask for money way far from their parents, or sell candies to strangers on buses or restaurants, specially on Christmas or new year (it happens every day but mostly on those dates). I'm from Peru, so that kind of stuff is pretty common here, and a big problem bc sometimes children are taught to steal

It makes me really mad that they implied that because he can walk a little bit, he doesn't need his wheelchair. My mom needs a wheelchair but she is able to walk short distances out of it. It's just horrible.

There's too many people out there that believe you have to rely on mobility aids 24/7 to use em and it's just wild. Ambulatory wheelchair users exist, not everyone in a wheelchair is paralyzed from the waist down, but some people just can't understand/don't know that

Also I am an ambulatory wheelchair user. I can walk. Standing still is what's more difficult. Blood pooling into my legs deprives my brain of oxygen and I can pass out. If anyone wants to call me a faker for it, I'll just pop one of the arms off my wheelchair and whack them with it 🤣

One of my closest friends uses a wheelchair. She can’t feel her legs due to nerve damage, she has the ability to walk short distances. She however has a lot of difficulty walking longer distances or move at fast pace as she often stumbles.

I’ve seen lots of very low budget foreign films online (and not spoken in English) for a couple of years now. Many of these films are utter bonkers. But none are much riskier yet far more amazing than a ton of almost (culturally) no-budget but otherwise utterly spectacular Nepali Masala films. I really love them for what they are, despite so many budget constraints.

Do people really think cops just walk around on the sidewalk during their shifts? Cops haven't done that in _years._ They patrol in cruisers, often with a partner. Walking on their beat is too dangerous. It's also inefficient. The only time they ever walk on sidewalks is when they're going to and from their vehicles.

My grandmother when she had a stroke and needed a wheelchair for a few months but she could walk short distances using a cane or using something to help her up not everybody who is wheelchair-bound is like forced to stay on a wheelchair

I was legitimately pissed off when scrolling through some videos on the watch tab myself 😅 One of them was like 20 minutes long and basically the first Nineteen Minutes and 30 seconds were completely unnecessary.
