Nefruns, you’ve inspired me & my friends to speedrun. We’ve managed two runs so far, and gonna do a third this weekend. Our next goal is under 3 hours. Thanks for being awesome man!
It's fun, right? Supply challenge scenario is another fun one to speed run if you want something a little shorter. It underscores my problem in factorio sr: having too many materials early. I guess buffering is my friend?
I love how fast you do it, but what I love even more is just how many times you make mistakes, because it means that there is the possibility for an even faster wr. It also makes me want to try and run the game cause it seems that its just a lot of practice. Keep up the great work man 👍
@@padnomnidprenon9672 How do you make construction bots delete objects that interfere with the ghost placements. Like, I always try to place a ghost thing and a tree stops me, and I get a bot to delete it first and then I place the ghost.
I think it'd also make up for a lot of extra time (in addition to the RNG) because you have to put resources into making military gear and using time to both defend your base and remove enemy bases.
Me about to watch this video: "Can't wait to see how a speedrunner does trains!" Watches video. I guess 3 or 4 belts to the main base *IS* the fastest way...
It also depends on how much you're planning to bring to your base and how frequently. Having 20 belts isn't exactly ideal if you have bigger plans and it may take a very long time for the ores to travel hundreds of tiles. Edit: Don't get me wrong though it's often, including in this speedrun, the best option.
@@4samul Yeah, I kind of figured that there wouldn't be trains in a speedrun where the ore is close enough. Definitely cool to see what they come up with.
Reset your steam achievements before speedrunning, it will give you an heads up when the first attack is happening, as that gives an achievement (Not sure how this is documented using the rules)
It keeps the assemblers from using its internal buffer to store processing units (blue circuits) and sped modules. This is done by telling the input inserts to not grab ingredients unless the number of things produced is the same as the number of items grabbed. This makes it so that the resources gets spread evenly across all assemblers.
watching your videos make me mad about myself ;/ I try send rocket before 8 hours to get achivment but i cant do it i even prepare your build via bluprints but take me so much longer its drive me creazy What you do in 1 hour i do in 5/6 :( Your videos motivate me to keep trying so Thanks :)
And if you are looking for putting in more than one at a time then you can hold Ctrl + Right Click to insert half of what you are holding or Ctrl + Left Click to put in all. Can be useful for distributing ammo and the such. Edit: Important to note that what you are holding will refill from your inventory as a full stack if you have more of it in your inventory.
Anyone have an explanation for how he shaved 16 minutes off the rocket launch in the very last step? That was huge. He basically had stockpiled enough fuel and RCU's by the time the rocket silo was researched, but how?
My first game took 70 hours. My second took 36. Third was 16 and half way through it was when I discovered nefrums speedrun guide. My next game took 8 hours and 10 minutes and then 7 hours and 17 minutes.
I was just saying that I want to see Nefrums analysis of Phoenix/ anti builds. Then anti put up his analysis. Maybe you could analyze Anti's analysis? 70% joking.
@@motbot146 Without press alt key you won't know what task are the assembling machines working on unless you click every machine to see the details, it greatly increase the difficulty of speedrun
Control click, or control right click for half, or Z for just a few, and drag the mouse over the buildings. Ctrl click and left click will remove if the computer things it's obvious what you want to remove.
@@beau691 don't worry, I'm not new and there's always a point where I tear everything down and start over. none of my full playthroughs have ever been under 80 hours.
Is it still a world record, with the additional help over voice? I feel like that's cheating a bit: He's given you directions based on various problems he's seen.

As people are only watching his stream they are allowed to assist if they see a problem. Otherwise all speedruns should be done in a dark room locked so that no one can give them clues or assist them
@@outlander1776 ИМХО, при дефолтном размере стартовой безопасной зоны такой огромный кластер источников вони через 5 минут все гнезда в округе спровоцирует. Тут что-то странное явно. На дефолтах еле-еле успеешь открыть турели - уже прибегает стайка серых. На 55 минуте он бежит на восток - там дефектное гнездо в деревьях, без споунеров. Если ему по всему периметру так приглючило - тогда понятно. Но больше похоже, что либо размер стартовой зоны сильно увеличен, либо коэффициент пассивного поглощения смога. Он почти даже не смотрит на карту и размеры облака.
@@user-se5qr8zr8l вот полностью с вами согласен. Как в пустыню попадешь так кусаки через 10 мин бегут. И приходится тратить половину времени на оборону от них. Тогда игра не за 3 часа проходится а за 7.
Причем тут вся ирония в том, что чем *быстрее* ты добываешь (и быстрее генерируется смог), тем больше нагрузка на окружающую среду - и тем быстрее прибегут злые тараканы. Т.е. аргументы вида "ну он просто слишком быстро все сделал, кусаки не успели среагировать", работают в точности до наоборот: огромная фабрика, покрывающая дрелями всю поверхность рудной жилы, слишком быстро генерирует грязь, чтобы оставаться незамеченной. Чтобы избежать внимания кусак, нужно все делать наоборот: добывать очень медленно, в разных местах карты, периодически выключая дрели, и давать облаку выветриться. В балансе релиза 1.0 неспроста турели - очень дешевая, базовая технология. Дефолтные значения выставлены так, чтобы вынудить пользоваться турелями очень рано. Если стартовая позиция со всеми жилами находится в середине огромного, густого леса, то теоретически лес будет справляться с грязью от небольшой базы, в которой работает только 1 исследовательский центр. Тут явно не тот случай.
@@user-se5qr8zr8l все верно. Только я предпочитаю на дефолтных настройках все таки зарашить оборону и залить кусак напалмом. А по лесам прячусь когда на марафоне мира смерти играю.
Apparently, they were on vacation of some sort. Or, more likely, got extremely nauseated by the enormous pollution cloud - and left the land for good. I'll have to try this poisoning strategy (which oddly doesn't correspond to the theoretic explanation of how pollution distribution and absorption works in this game). Normally biters show up in 10-20 minutes after I place only a handfull of drills.
OK , du zeigst ein richtig gutes Game , was mich wirklich interessiert , aber muss es wirklich sein das dein Konterfrei laufend im Bild dominiert , ich möchte das Game im Vollbild sehen , aber nicht irgend eine sich wichtig machende Gamer in Einblendung bewundern , es sei dem das sich die Gamer wichtiger sind als das von ihnen präsentierte Game , ich will das Game im Vollbild sehen , aber absolut nicht die dauernden Gesichter der Gamer aufgezwungen bekommen , zum Glück zeigt die Vorschau die dauernden eingeblendeten Gesichter , was ich mir natürlich nicht antuen werde , zum Glück gibt es den Gamer Hirnsturz , er ist der beste Gamer welcher seine Games aufs beste Präsentiert , ohne sein Konterfrei in den Vordergrund rücken zu müssen . Hirnsturz ist ein Gamer welcher ein Game wirklich zum mittreisen verführt , leider in der Zeit alle 2 Tage nur , aber besser nur 2 Tage als überhaupt nicht . Die anderen Gamer welche sich mit ihren Gesichtern in den Vordergrund drängen wollen gehen mir so richtig am Arsch vorbei . Will man wirkliche Games sehen sind es diese von Hirnsturz , ohne eingeblendete Bärtige Zwerge und sonstige Gesichter welche mit der Handlung überhaupt nichts zu tun haben .
