I fell asleep watching this, and it continued in my dreams. Belts were backing up. Pipes were backing up. Nothing would move. Things were getting desperate no matter what was tried. Then I woke up and rushed to the toilet.
I love that you can place things like electric poles while you're driving. I'm just imaging the guy's got a stack sitting behind him and is tossing them out the window like javelins.
Today, i am going to present you my invention, this, as i love to call it, is "Javelin-O-Pole" you can understand what it is from the name, but i will explain...
Just holding a pole out the window letting it tip downwards and stab itself into the ground, creating a sort of pole vault motion, stopped by its wires to the previous pole
"We're here live with the World Record holder for Factorio Death World today, Mr. Nefrums. First of all, congratulations on your accomplishment. But we have to ask, just how DO you do it?" *tips mic towards Nefrums* "Well you see, if you cram enough resources into the spaghetti machine fast enough, you can make spaghetti faster than the biters can eat it." "Fascinating."
finish the game in 8 hours is really not that hard. But you need to have a sold plan and be very focused. And it do take a few tries. What is really hard, i would say the hardest part of a 100% achievement run, is get on track like a pro when running lazy bastard. I have to try that about 15 times before i managed. Granted, i did that before when L1 assemblers only could do 2 ingrediense, it might be a bit easier now
He does it in nearly 4 hours, high difficult, enemies on and his base looks awesome near the launch. Me, playing for over 150h, peaceful mode, mid game have a messy spaghetti. Well done!
Jesus, It takes me hours to set up decent defenses and this guy just walks into a nest an hour in and starts trowing 'nades like a Vietnam soldier on crack.
This is the kind of run where i would love to see a heart rate monitor on screen next to the timer :D Specially when the biters start destroying a bunch of things i could really feel the stress building up :p I mean, how bad can it be, factorio is nominated for the sit back and relax category on steam, right ??? ;)
Factorio was fucking robbed of the Labour of Love award I stg. The fact that it didn't get that after this many years of amazing development, instead going to CS:GO, is just depressing.
@@AkashSingh-jv5im sure it doesn't mean anything that it didn't get it, but it still would've been nice. Either way, it's not really that much of a niche game, pretty sure there's at least 2-3 million players lol. 0.5% of the world's population isn't that niche.
@@eagle2com The tech has been changed a while ago and has nothing to do with shortcuts anymore. The number of shurtcut rows can be changed at any point during the game in options from 1 to 4 rows. The toolbelt technology simply increases inventory space by adding 10 slots.
@@DeuxDouze Waaaait. I never noticed this change :D, thanks for letting me know. I think I just assumed it was still the case since Nefrums was not using it as such. What a prime example of an argument from authority fallacy.
It takes you almost 20 minutes to get all of your labs on your any% yet it takes me 2 hours and 30 minutes just to automate green and another 2 after that to get labs set up. The skill you have is insane.
normal speedruners after 1 minute: *finished the game* factorio speedruners after 1 minute: "okay so we have stone, iron, copper... hmm, oil as well, building space and..." :P
I don't get it. How can the first attack be at 24minutes with only ~12 biters? Even on a "default" run I get attacked within 13 minutes by at least double the amount of biters. And with not nearly half the amount of pollution you are producing. Is this with increased starting area size?
That doesn't make sense. This game doesn't work with actions per second. There are variations in the way you can do things that make it so that most of the strategy revolves around progressing with the least amount of actions possible and all of the item dumping isn't actually deliberate in the sense that the player doesn't actually do anything other than hold the z button and scan with the mouse.
Fun to watch, even when the biters became super annoying to you. What's the point of the inserter circuit for RCUs? When can we expect deathworld 100% achievements? :D
The inserter circuit causes the manufacturer to only have one set of ingredients in it at a time. This prevents the first few machines storing multiple sets of the expensive and slowly produced resources and allows all machines to contribute to production more evenly.
I wonder why do you build one Copper Cable per one Green Circuit, in terms of assemblers. If you put 2 Copper Cables per 1 Green Circuit, they have what is necessary to work 100% of the time, you just have to separate Circuits by 1 space, and between each Green Circuits you have to put a Copper Cable assembler outputting to 2 Green Circuits. (35:56)
10 mins into factoria me : hmm i have my 1 furnance and miner, maybe i got chop some tree while checking what others building available this guy : 10+ furnanace, 20+ mine, power, science O_o
Congrats Nefrums with achievement. It is really fascinating to watch your play. Would you like to address developers of the game some feedback with the game to make it more pleasant for playing and more diverse in options? Thx
Having just 1 steam engine per boiler early on means the coal he handfed would last longer. So instead of having say 5 boilers 10 steam engines, you make 10 boilers, 10 steam engines.
I think I can beat peaceful mode in 5 hours flat. But it almost seems boring because I like spending an extra couple hours running things over with the tank.
