Fahadh is a quintessential actor. Doesn’t care about the length of the role or whether it’s grey, black or white shades character. For me the moment I became a fan was the movie 22 female kottayam. There r actors who play villain and there r actor who can play a cynical villain and be ok with a scene where the female cuts his manhood. Often times it’s sexy to play the villain , however to play a villain where u r left glorifying the other actor is something Once I saw that movie I kind of felt there is something about him and his acting style

I have been watching films in Bengali and Malayalam a lot, these days. Two actors give me hope. One is of course, Fahadh Faasil and the next is Ritwick Chakraborty. I am glad that Fahadh has been gaining his loyal fanbase across India. Ritwick is a lesser known gem. Masand Sir, please do watch his films, if you have not. Films like Nagarkirtan, Shabdo and Bakita Byaktigato, to name a few, would not have been such a delight without Ritwick. This actor is a magic in simplicity and depth. I think the great thing that happened in malayalam movie industry is that the current crop of actors are so secure. No one would dare to do a shammi(Kumbalangi) or a Koshi(Prithviraj - Ayyappanum Koshiyum) anywhere else. They are identifying good script as they are identifying good commercial cinema. Like Fahaad has done Varathan or even better Prithviraj has directed Lucifer. Dulquer has produced Varane Avashyamund in which he is essentially playing the second fiddle. Main stream stars identifying good script and stories and are willing to take risk is a big plus to any industry. I hope it continues. BTW I liked Trance, it was a great perfomance, technically well made film and music including BGM was so good. Last film i watched in theatres before lock down. Just a honest opinion.

I am not happy when people are comparing this movie to searching. I watched searching a while ago and I still I remember how overpowering the technological inputs on the screen than the characters. But in this movie I was actually able to enjoy the film looking past the screen and was able to watch the characters in action rather than distracting social media messages typing sounds etc..
