Because full length runs don't allow quick saving? In case you mean in-game saves, which make the run slower and is counter productive

@@rompevuevitos222 Oh,so its one of the rules to do the RTA's(real time attack = single segment) most painfull way,huh It sounds like a rule to simply make people rage and be frustrated,if i ever will speedrun i wont upload cause of that,to be fair with you

@@Hunoa44 You can just make a segmented speedrun, where you can play in parts and only redo the parts that where slower (for example: In case of a Hitman game, you can replay individual missions to lower their time and then mash all of the recordings of the best timed missions into a single video, you MUST specify it is a segmented run tho) ALSO, saving IS allowed, but since the time between saving and loading is still counted it will make your run slower (except for games with quick saves like Skyrim or Half Life) Save States (like the ones from an emulator) are NOT allowed Personally i would just run the game and save anyway cuz it's not like i'm gonna aim to beat the world record on my first tries

@@rompevuevitos222 Are self made scripts still allowed? To be fair,save states from emulator are always fast,so blocking it is kind of a "virgin move" to do

@@Hunoa44 Emulators themselves are rarely allowed And emulators used cannot grant any advantages over real hardware It isn't a "virgin move", it is a "fair play" move Scripts are only allowed for TAS, you obviously cannot just prepare something to press the inputs for you in a normal run, that's blatant cheating
