Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ru-vid.comUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
*Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*
hi mate, thanks you very much for this, i have been able to diagnose my dodgy unit down to having a dead room temp thermistor. two techs could not figure this out nor did they know about the failure mode recall
After doing this I had the "room temperature thermistor" error and after seemingly fixing it now my remote some times wants to work and other times doesn't. Sometimes my unit will be on working then i'll try to change a setting on the remote and i get no beeps or any input until i turn off and on the unit via power button on remote
I am trying to see if my remote works with Mitsubishi split unit PKA model unit. My remote power On/Off button does not turn the unit on & off or doesn’t control any of the functions. So I thought I would try this troubleshooting videos see if it’ll reset. Nothing. The model number on my split unit is PKA-A36KA7. The remote I’m using looks exactly like the one in the video. The number on the back of the remote is KM18G 040C. My other issue is this unit was off with a flashing green led, so I had to go on the rooftop unit to reset the disconnect to get rid of the flashing green led. Once reset the light is solid green but I still have no control with my remote. That’s the reason I used your video to see if there is anything wrong with the inside/outdoor unit or the remote. I put new batteries in the remote. I did the steps 3 times and I still have a solid green led. No flashing or beeping noise. Does that mean my unit is good? No issues? Thank you.
I have one where the indoor doesn’t come on . There is power going to the inside unit . Will this failure mode be the issue or is it something else . Thx
I can get into failure mode recall, but when I press the on off button, I don’t get the flashing lights and beeps. Any idea why this would happen? What’s really strange is after I reset the remote control to get out of failure recall mode and I guess erase whatever error messages should’ve shown up, the heat began working again....
I have no lights at all. I'm receiving power to the indoor and outdoor unit but it seems like the RF reciever isn't turning the unit on? Any recommendations there??
