This is my favourite song off Sol Invictus, FNM's last album from about 6 years ago, it's definitely one of those songs that gets better the more you hear it and Mike's vocals are incredible, I sometimes have to stop it and rewind the end part to hear him again, it's just that good lol Anyway glad you enjoyed this one, it deserves so much love ❤️ Thank you for the reaction, love this one ❤️
This song caught me off guard on their new album lol I love this song despite me not hearing this album a lot this song makes a good coffee chill song or a bike ride song.
My favorite band of all time. Faith No More are so eclectic. Mike Patton’s voice range is 6 octaves. I listened to this every day when I went through chemotherapy and radiation.
Same album "Black Friday" Just something about the metal acoustic transitions . I think this is much more the best thing in this production. And it's hidden in the middle like the center of a tootsie pop
Yeah, this is the first song from their last album from 2015 `Sol Invictus` that you listened to. :)) What do you think about the production? True, it differs from the previous ones ... There are two reasons for that - subjective and objective ...;) The subjective comes from their desire to do something closer to their roots and early musical influences, and that would be gothic rock and gothic metal, punk and a new wave - stuff. :) This song, for example, is very similar to the one from the legendary gothic band with female vocals called Siouxie and the Banshees - try to give a reaction to their song from the movie "Batman Returns" (1992) called "Face to Face" , it`s so romantic, you`ll love it....:) Big, important band! Anyway, those are their subjective inclinations at that moment ... :) The objective reason is that they decided to make a whole new album - on their own! :) That means everything - from recording it to the production and the post-production...They somehow earned it - the bassist Billy Gould was in charge of that in his studio, God bless him hahahah...Well, whoever works hard, gets a reward (materially), I suppose. :) But it`s not just that... Their previous experiences with studio recordings was always under pressure of limited time, you know how it goes?... The producer says: `you need to do this`, the head of the company: `you need to do that`...always some pressure. :) Right? So, here they had all the time and space they needed ... :)) Yes, but tell me something, honestly... What do you think, from your perspective ( which btw has changed in terms of the angle of video recording, heheh) - What is better to do? Is it better to have a pair of independent ears - presented in the main head of a good producer - who will pay more attention to all kinds of important aspects of the sound that the band itself should not be too exhaustive about? ... A matter of trust and great experience ...? Or is it better for a band to take all the time in the world to slowly build their sound and produce their own sound production, as FNM did for this album, where bassist Billy took it over? .: / My mind is divided on this issue, because the results could be different .... The sound could come out too raw, you know what I mean? .. And if we take the most common dance with the official producer, time pressure and everything can somehow bring a `stronger child`, to put it metaphorically. :) What do you think is better: "Lazy" or "pressed" production? This question is, I guess, the most prominent in relation to this latest FNM album, so this record is an example of the first, non-standard method ... Anyway, Cheers! (J&R) ... :)
This is FNM's "Kashmir" imo...Mike Patton is the greatest vocalist of all time...Haven't watched your channel in a while, but have you done the newest Mr Bungle album "the night they came home"? Also Mike Patton with the dream team of metal musicians
Highest acclaimed song on the album and awesome, but not a my personal favorite from it. Appreciate you reacting to this and Roxxanne hooking it your way; IMO great, great track off their newest album.
@@roxannemitchell4119 It's between Separation Anxiety, 1st, and Black Friday, 2nd. I don't have a first tendency tonfaster/harder songs but those just grab me more.... and I find the latter humorous. Yours? Matador or other?
@@Mx.RumpusParable I had a feeling you were gonna say Separation Anxiety, that is one of my favourites too, I also love Superhero so it's between those two songs after Matador 😎
