@@MrDjBigZ which is fucked honestly, i live in what's basically a third world country and even here you dont NEED to tip people so they survive. The US should be better than that
As far as I know, if you don't make enough money from tips the boss has to pay you the minimum wage at least, so I still think that it's very manipulative to make the costumer "guilty" for your salary, I still have no money, you should pay me then
@@berhonkusbardledoo you've heard of beatboxing puppy, you've heard of breakdancing dad, now get ready for: kickboxing baby, only a few months old and already beating up the elderly, I'm so proud

My GF does extra work for tv and films but her agency offer all sorts of work. She's done a few jobs for these companies that specialise in public freakout videos. They turn up at the location with about 15 to 20 ideas, no script, and just ask the actors improv the whole thing. They'll release all the videos a week or two later and just see what sticks (most of them get called out for being fake and removed shortly after).
I’m old, so I don’t understand why people on TikTok make these videos. How are they making money? They aren’t sponsored, right? Is it really just for clout and that’s it? I don’t get it
@@mariecarie1 Companies pay Tiktok to advertise their product (either between videos or in the shop) and then Tiktok uses some of that money to pay certain creators (you need a certain amount of followers to apply to earn money) The logic is that if there weren't creators on Tiktok that brought people in, there wouldn't be as many people to watch the ads, so they pay the creators to have more people see ads. (But yes, many people also do it just for attention)
they are trying to artifically create a viral "freakout" clip which goes viral on titkok if it looks real and then get millions of views/directed to their youtube im guessing for ad monetization@@mariecarie1
@@fishfooyou don’t know about the dad verification program? It’s critical and quite difficult to pass, but a requirement for all pre-dads. there’s even a course on making sure you don’t raise a baby with squishy bones. very interesting stuff!
Congrats Danny, I’ve been a fan of yours since the vine days. And I myself have been a father for a little over a year now, you got this man, we’re all proud of you! Healthy wishes for the baby and the momma!
i j realized ur the first person to even mention laura n how having a baby can be really dangerous for a mom…lol shows how much people don’t care but i’m glad they’re all good.
i am SO glad you talked about this! my dad watches these stupid things all the time and gets legitimately angry when we try to tell him they aren’t real. these creators take an issue that has been overblown by ragebait “news” sites and attempt to confirm the existence or prevalence of whatever that issue is in the mind of the viewer. it’s absolutely disgusting that this is a viable career path. even more disgusting is how hard tiktok pushes these videos in the algorithm. especially the fake cop/arrest videos. those enter genuine misinformation territory and i hate how influential these videos have become.
feeback loop of * News says [x] thing is happening when it is not * Instagram, YT Shorts, and Tiktok make fake shorts based off fake issue * News, Talk Shows, etc use the shorts as evidence * Repeat 💀💀💀💀💀
a lot of people also specifically villianize women because they know men will leave awful comments and increase engagement. i literally saw a dj duo do 10 different videos where they had an actress pretend to hate their music on the first date, or pretend to be annoyed with them. every single comment section was filled with awful comments about her and women in general, not appreciating men or being stick-in-the-muds (not even Karens, like these actresses would just be looking off to the side and the text on screen would be like "i can't believe he played his music on the first date").
Congrats to you two for the baby!! Also, I used to be a pro tipper, and I def tip when I can, but I do wish we would all get angry at the companies that refuse to pay their workers fairly and passing that responsibilibity on the customer instead of the customer who just needs a service and shouldnt HAVE to tip in order to "deserve" the thing they already paid for. It also puts customers who like to have power over others in a place where they can be cruel about not tipping.
Congratulations Danny, I am quite flabbergasted because i stopped watching you for about 4 years and now i come back and suddenly you are a father. Something about that makes me feel emotional as i literally grew up watching you. I am sure you and laura are going to be amazing parents for the little one!!
Man, the US is wild. When a job position doesn't offer enough money, instead of incentivizing the boss to pay his/her workers enough, they turn to each other, and blame each other for not tipping. That is crazy.
i'm so happy content creators are calling out these fake videos. they genuinely piss me off especially the ones related to queer people "freak outs" or when it involves race. it's just propaganda and they EAT THAT SHIT UP .
Pro Tip: If a delivery driver tries to take goods you have already paid for back, you dont ask for a refund, you call the cops and report them for theft and make sure you press charges.
Congratulations, Danny! It feels surreal to know a guy who looks like someone who can't drink legally in the US is a father and it's not a sad story, and I mean it as a compliment
Congratulations on the birth of your kid If you’ve not called him Greg, then not using your child for clout makes me question your commitment to the whole content creator thing 😁 All the best to all three of you
its so funny how in all these videos that are DEFINITELY 100% real, there always just happens to be a camera perfectly set up, with the people perfectly in frame at all times also congrats danny! love to see that youre taking time off to be a dad,
Exactly this. Whenever I see any kind of fake Karen/freakout video, or a clip of someone getting attacked, one of my first thoughts is "wait, why would someone know to start filming this moment in the first place??" If somenoe really wants to fake a video and make it look convincing, they should pick up the action midstream.
@@6thwilbury2331 exactly- AND THE PEOPLE GETTING MAD IN THE (completely real) VIDEOS NEVER LOOK AT THE CAMERA OR ACKNOWLEDGE IT- like it’s right in your face- how are you not going to notice that HAHAH
@@6thwilbury2331idk man everyone records constantly nowadays even when a argument just barely begins because they tryina catch something before it starts. Like all the actual real videos of natural disasters and footage caught of a car exploding or someone getting attacked or killed ALSO make you wonder how someone even caught it on camera or knew to record at that very moment before the thing happened and every single one of those videos have been confirmed real for over thirty years. Even back before smart phones or even cell phones period. Like in the 80’s and 90’s -someone had to have a giant camera on their shoulder and record at the right moment and still somehow caught something amazing by accident.

Congrats to you and Laura! Don't worry if you post less often or take long breaks or full on paternity leave, we can wait but they'll only be a baby once!
Exactly, crazy to hear even "more reasonable" people defend tipping system when it's designed to disadvantage workers and make them fight with people who probably earn just as much
@@cyjanek7818doordash earns $2 the entire delivery unless someone tips. They are not making "just as much" as literally anyone. That's like over $5 below minimum wage.
Dannys reasoning that you don’t need to tip a doctor but you do need to tip a driver is absolutely insane. Why are you subsiding a company that decides to pay its employees an unliveable wage? Where’s the threshold? Why don’t you tip a cashier at the supermarket? Just refuse tipping altogether and make the companies pay what they need to be profitable? You’re literally subsidising capitalism, do you realise how bat sh*t that is?
Nahh, I feel like these videos are Incel bait. They always portray a certain trope to have a certain demographic buy into it and engage with the video bc of rage. It doesn’t help those of us who experience societal disadvantages
idk. faking public outrage harms genuine public disputes by making people disbelieve more to all public outrage they see online. Some public freakouts are actually deserving of public attention and can open worthwhile dialogs. People faking events like that draws attention away from deserving situations and make people more jaded and cynical. Plus shit flows downstream. Those who are going to be hurt the most by the affect of fake outrage bait are the most vulnerable and least visible in society.
13:06 the people behind this account likely primarily post this on Facebook and do really well (hence they can afford these sets and actors) and theyre just reposting them to Insta because why not
In my country if you tip it's considered really really nice, especially because it's not mandatory. It means the service was so good you want to give money to the person, but since ain't nobody gonna have money to just give away, nobody tips 😅
I truly do wish it was like that over here in the US. But yeah workers whose income relies on tips make less than minimum wage over here. I remember when I was working as a host for a restaurant and made minimum wage, but I was paid more per hour by about double what the waitresses did. They of course made up for it with tips, but if a table didn’t tip it would directly result in loss of income for them. If these workers were paid properly tipping culture would stop being like this, so I hope it happens eventually.
I wouldn’t be surprised if in couple days Danny just like “YOU REALLY THOUGHT WE HAD A BABY?! ITS A PRANK LOOOSEERS “ also congratulations, I wish baby to be healthy, cool, handsome and rich 🥂
I think what's even crazier about these videos is that, from the perspective of a doordasher, the driver is actually somewhat in the wrong. You're able to see how much an order is before you take it. I can always tell when people who have never done food/grocery delivery gigs when they make/do/day stuff like what's in the videos. Also, I was wondering where you were! Congrats on the baby!!
Trueee I do shipt and you get the tip through the app after deliveries are done, but that doesn’t mean you always get a tip 🤷🏻♀️ remember to track your miles!!
The driver is objectively in the wrong, there is no argument. A tip is optional, despite what danny delusionally thinks. If you accept a job you look at how much you are guaranteed to get for it, if it's not enough don't do it, don't assume a tip will be added on to make it worth while. It's that kind of thinking that we get legitimate videos of door dashers reacting negatively to not getting a tip, such as throwing their food or deliberately cooling it.
@@Death-999It's also just not efficient for the doordasher to spitefully take that order back to the store over not getting a tip since the time they waste doing so could be time they could spend making money on another order.
rhe fact that Danny does all this even tho hes watching the vids for the first time and without a script or anything.. hes really really quick witted and has a so special sense of humor and a creative way of thinking.. he was born for this for sure
Congratulations to Danny and Laura for their baby! I’m glad you took the time to just be with your wife and kid. And congratulations on using the announcement to also plug your merch immediately after, glad that the kid will see where they get all their toys from.
Same here as an Asian. I mean i will tip when i have extra money or when i am in a good mood. I paid for the delivery and i didn't cause you any extra trouble so who are you to demand a tip.
How do you know that? You watch him on RU-vid, you don’t know him personally I’m genuinely not trying to be a dick so I’m sorry if this comes off rude, I love Danny’s videos and have been watching them for a while but I have no idea what he’s like outside of his online content and neither does anyone who’s only in the audience. Of course I hope he’ll be an amazing dad but I could never just state that he will be
