Since my right wrist is still sore and swollen, I thought I would take the time to share some of my worst experiences as an adult skater.
Push your limits, but don't try too much beyond your own capabilities. Knowing that falling and injury are a big part of skateboarding is necessary, and trying to minimize them are keys to a long lasting relationship with skating. Learning how to slide and roll away from falls can greatly help in sustaining that relationship for many years. Listen to your body, and when serious injuries occur, listen to your doctor's advice to heal.
