I think she's brave to come on here and warn other people. Especially knowing how judgmental we can get online. She seems like a lovely lady and I hope she meets someone special who isn’t a fraud.

bro, the fact that there are so many guys online who are also genuinely lonely and there's apps to meet them and such, and women are still falling for stuff like this tells me they must be either looking in the wrong places or are all pursuing guys WAAYY out of their league (who are fake) in some sort of ridiculous fantasy lol because that's the only way you fall for this stuff.

This is so heart breaking and worse for Keanu I can't imagine how it's upset him. I have been a fan 42 years and I have always loved Keanu for his humble beautiful kind heart and he has been amazing to his fans and always such a gentleman more so a handsome Prince to come to your rescue. I am praying for Keanu always have and will. Many prayers sent to people these imposters stole from and hurt deeply. I have complete respect for Keanu and appreciate all his hard work and loyalty to his fans. I pray God intervenes and places a hedge of protection around Keanu and everyone. From whats being said, he doesn't have a computer and never has been on social media. so, really, how would he know exactly? Someone would have had to tell him. Where is the evidence of that? ive heard from fake Keanus and Leonardos and Hanks and Cusacks but almost 60 fake Brad Pitt imposters and impersonators Blocking seems to prompt more and ignoring seems to work best Ive even seen the real Pitt out and about but never realized it was him until later or someone commented about it and talked with him for a second once but never actually recognized him in real life when i lived out in Los Angeles. He really does move quickly and like a shark. Lol Im sure hes very busy and has to be cautious too Some of the imposters can make you crazy and they offered big acting roles and jobs and a a great romantic getaway at the beach with him etc lol but all for a fee. I never had any money for them and realized the scam thank goodness

These people are laughing and most of these people who get taken they're lives will never be the same and many are totally destroyed either money wise or emotionally. This is not joke and something needs to be done to stop it.
FYI, there’s several popular RU-vid channels where all they do is scare or mess around with real scammers. Some have actually resulted with the scammers being arrested.
people need to stop sending money to people they don't know. that is what needs to be done. if every person that sends money to scammers stopped, the scamming would stop. that's when it will end. why on earth would you send money online to someone you don't even know? it's beyond ridiculous.

Kinda feel for that lady and glad she didn't send any money. Four different "Keanu Reeves" sent me messages asking me to send money to them on PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Chimez, Zelle, Coinbase, and Western Union. So I played along with the Western Union and kept sending fake Money Transfer Control Numbers and the imposter became frustrated. I had some fun with that.
The genuine instagram accounts have a tiny blue circle with a white tick inside. Either by the profile photo or within it. That’s how you can tell if it’s true or false.
He will be running out soon, he has people projects to meet which means money orphanage, hospitals, bitcoin, whoever he has pledged to give money.. it all will not last forever unless alexandria has money😂
This scam is so so old.. like even dr Phil has made stories of these, like come on people.. a celebrity would never ask you for money like that. Oh they don’t go for your heart. They go for your wallet. And they use the same script over and over the same lines.. lol
I was in the same situation in the past. You are not alone, I too was a victim. So I block 🚫 him on tiktok, Facebook, Gmail. Haven't heard that person again, but never say never, people that scam others are known to come back n trying scamming again. Protect yourself from scamper. God bless 🙌
It's easy to judge others as idiots, but these people are extremely good at exploiting human psychology and weaknesses like loneliness. Sounds crazy from the outside but we've all been sold on something that wasn't real of various degrees
I'm SO glad she didn't send any money! This happens to men too. A friend of my mother...her son is handing THOUSANDS to some "woman" online. They keep warning him but he won't believe it's a scam.

One of theses scammers tried to DM me for money and naked pictures of myself(I’m only 17) so I blocked him and doged a real bullet for sure Keanu Reeves is not on any social media platforms and if some imposter is trying to scam you or make you do inappropriate things report and block them, because Keanu would never do these types of things
Lady, you don’t need to seek love outside of yourself. Find the love within yourself and take care of yourself and if you do find love with someone else, it’ll be all that you could ever dream of (and more importantly) with someone you’ll meet in person!

You don't need to have the internet to be scammed ... many old ladies have been scammed by telephone or even by persons walking up to your door. Even by families.

There are hundreds of profiles on RU-vid & Facebook, using the photos of celebrities while pretending to be the famous person. I report them when I see them, nothing is done about it. FB & YT profiles I have reported a year or more ago, are still up. Still messaging people. Still pretending.
Good that this is in the news. I had a lot request from Keanu Reeves and I have send an letter to his management 2 years ago with a lot information. I'm happy that this has an end.
My friend died of an overdose few years back and I remember like a week after he started sending me messages on Facebook, I reported him cuz I knew he was dead. Then I told the person I know ur dead and who ever this is watch out cuz I called the cops. But I can't believe this woman would think the real Neal would even talk to regular people like us. I wouldn't believe it no way!
Also if the scammed asks you to send them an Amazon gift card because the store in Baghad is closed or not one in sight are BS! Some scammed tried to hook me into that and claimed he was a US army personnel on a top secret mission! I never sent him anything and blocked him the next day.
Yep I got took along time ago by an online romance scam, A fricken Nigerian at the tune of 4,500, still seeth over that, wasn't a movie star tho, that I wouldn't have fell for. When this happened to me there was no info yet about these romance scams, learned alot, lost alot. And to those who like to mock its really not funny these people are very good at what they do and its not always about romance might be just somebody saying they need help dont judge you could be next.

And it's so embarrassing and debilitating and robs of what little trust you've been hanging onto and it makes you feel violated as a human being to your core as a Decent woman and the doubts of selfworh, anger, ignorance you feel is very very hard to deal with. And in my situation I felt so hurt, distraught, and unhappy with no end for Keanu reeves being. Such heartache I went through with so many emotions I thought I would drown in them. Keanu Reeves is an excellent dude but the impersonation scams are bogus. My cousin almost got scammed because she says she got a message from me on Facebook but I don't have Facebook and told my aunt and my mom asked me i wouldn't have Facebook until I want one.

In the back of my mind I thought I was texting with a hacker. But I also thought Keanu could just be curious how his fans viewed his acting career. Mine was not romantic or involved money. I think Hollywood can break a person.

My mother died at that time. Fear and loneliness drive me to facebook and I was hooked. It takes my life over. I was day in day out onn facebook. And with Keanu Reeves. Say the right stuff and make wonderfull dreams. Never married and very keen to be his lover . So stupid. But that is loneliness and thanks to my brother and sisters seeing I was falling deep in it. They were my survivers . Grabbing me out off that self pittyness. Till today still feel ashamed and had to hear how people gossip what you did onn facebook when walking in by a party orr door. But I hold my head high and knew my family understand why I did itt. I do not have to apogise for friends. So dont be judge mentall. It can happend. Just about every time I comment on a Keanu video on RU-vid, a few days later I’ll get a reply from a scammer posing as Keanu Reeves. It’s disgusting and I always report it as spam. It would be funny if I get one of those replies to this comment.

Well people are having romances reportedly with AI now too knowingly. Keanu has been dubbed "the internets boyfriend" but I think most of us just like the look of him online don't have delusions he even knows we exist. Besides he has an actual girlfriend Alexandra Grant just FYI.
