Ha! So true indeed. The Vault DLC trailer shows new-looking furniture and stuff. I just hope we can build it all outside the vaults too. I will be so upset if we can't.

Modding community intensifies

Did you finish the settlement? Two Years later and I’m about the same number of hours in as you were then. Trying to renew sanctuary to its previous splendour.

pretty sure there's a mod to stop the hammering or if not just build something in front of the areas they normally hammer

That would be a cool features if the settlers actually fixed up the town for you. Hell, I'd be happy if they just swept the floors! I'm looking at you Arcadia.

+Hedgehobbit I'd love a feature where over time as your settlement gets more populated and taken care of you gradually see improvements. Structural damage gets repaired, floors are cleaned, perhaps even land getting smoothed and leveled. That would be awesome.

It's a crying shame they didn't add such a feature to the game. It would make all those settlers feel like they're earning their keep instead of just mooching off us and hanging around all day doing nothing worthwhile.

+Wasteland Dovahkiin shutters should be available... They're already in the game!

Yes, my OCD wouldn't let me use the first option either. But I like the doors option.

It's very hard to put the ceilings in if you've ever built anything inside the house, even a piece of furniture. It's just weird that way. Make sure the house is completely empty. Also, if you have a scrap everything mod installed, it could be interfering with the glitching. Disable the mod temporarily to fix it.

Windows are added by the Far Harbor DLC I think.

The windows are from the Wasteland Workshop DLC.

If you really like this game get all the DLC's for it. the extra story lines and all the extra content for building and weapons armor etc it's worth it.

A bed that is not under a roof adversely affects happiness. I guess the question is whether the preexisting roofs on the houses in Sanctuary count as roofs according to the game.

That's great if you have access to mods. PS4 players do not.

Do you use a scrap everything mod? Those sometimes interfere with the effectiveness of using the pillar to glitch items.

Wasteland Dovahkiin ----> I try to avoid those type of mods. I only use a few body mods. I am on xbox. Can you still do it?

It hasn't been patched. If it's not working then something must be interfering with your placement. Something you built may be in the way. Or you can try a different item to move the windows into place. Use the shack foundation instead of the concrete pillar, sometime it works better. You can also try using the stairs that sink into the ground. Unfortunately it's impossible for me to see what might be the problem without actually looking at your game. I hope you can get it working. Good luck. :)
