The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided a NYC apartment this morning. They found over 300 syringes full of a strange red substance. Two men have been apprehended and are awaiting questioning. More on this story at 9:00.

A long time ago I saw this new Jello box their brand had came out with, it was a way to make your favourite soda into jello! I thought it was a genius idea!! I got it and was so excited to create it, I figured it was going to be just as good as the regular Jello flavours you can get. I didn't realize gelatin has such an unapologetic flavour, even though it smelled terrible I wanted so badly to believe I hadn't wasted a good can of soda. As soon as it came out of the fridge and it went into my mouth, the whole thing with into the trash and I vowed NEVER to use straight up gelatin for ANYTHING that's going to go into my mouth. I'm sorry you boys had to learn that lesson the hard way haha. I guarantee if you had just gotten a box of raspberry jello like you thought about half way through you would have had a FAAAR better time hahaha. It's ironic you're using it with red food colouring, because actually a couple years after my nasty run in with it, I found it's a great alternative for gore makeup on the cheap! So I mixed a bunch of red food colouring in just like you did and slathered it all over my body for Halloween! That is THE ONLY WAY to use pure gelatin hahaha

Next Fallout Kitchen: Jet and Daytripper!

Honestly fellas... I would've had the vodka in the freezer as soon as I went through the back door with my groceries. Also, always read your entire recipe BEFORE adding any ingredients. Never combine wet and dry ingredients before your water boils or you end up with lumpy paste. And finally, always use your favorite flavor of Jello Brand gelatin for any kind of Jello shot. I recommend the Raspberry with Smirnoff vodka. Smirnoff is triple distilled and I still can't tell Grey Goose, Sky or Stoli from Smirnoff, especially in a mix. Boil half recommended amount of water and stir boiling water into stir into Jello powder. You'll feel it physically begin to thicken as you stir. In place of the remaining half of boiling water slowly stir in vodka in the same amount as the the other half amount of water not boiled so you're still using the same amount of total liquid ingredients called for in the recipe. You slowly stir in the vodka until the mixture begins to thicken again, pour it into Dixie cups or better still use the mini Solo cups as the plastic releases the Jello with much less stick Jello stuck to the side of your chosen beverage chalice. Now when it comes to consuming Jello shots there are many diverse techniques; some like to run a tooth pick or small kitchen knife around the edge to prevent sticking, others just squeeze the cup and slurp it up. My Jello shot technique requires a talented tongue as I remove the entire contents of the cup with one deft sweep of my tongue and essentially inhale the entire thing in one gulp. You can also do another great party drink with vodka and frozen juice concentrates. I usually used orange or real juice fruit punch concentrate. Simply stir in the vodka in the same measure required for mixing it with water, skip the water and basically reconstitute the juice using vodka instead of water, stir, chill and serve. It's guaranteed to go down smooth and liven the dullest party. If you find that mix too strong you can do a half water half vodka mix or you can use Everclear or other high test grain alcohol to reconstitute your juice in place of either water or vodka for what we simply called Party Juice or PJ when I was a US Marine visiting Myrtle Beach. Our blend required replacing all liquid ingredients be replaced with legal moonshine, like Everclear. We made it up in big Igloo coolers about 5 gallons at a time which involved 3-4 gallons of booze, 12+ cans of juice concentrate all stirred together over ice then we'd top it all off with fresh fruit slices, wedges and chucks like orange sections, grapes, pineapple, red and green apples, whatever fruit was fresh. By the time you drank two solo cups of this brew and chomped on a few pieces of fruit that's been absorbing booze all afternoon you were officially handing over any car keys in your possession. At 53 as of yesterday, I'm way too old for Jello shots and PJ now. Do yourself a favor fellas and never get old! Old sucks @$$!!! They say you're only as young as you feel so I must be 108! I know George can relate having battled with the big "C." I hope remission is the key word in your medical file at present and going forward George. With brotherly love and respect from Phoenix to y'all where ever you are, David aka phatbassanchor PS: You can actually buy cheap @$$ vodka and run it through a Brita filter three times and get the same clean flavor as Smirnoff... 4-5 times for Stohli and other higher end vodka. Currently most vodka, even Stohli, Grey Goose and that lot are made from grain alcohol not potato mash as it was historically made in Russia. It's essentially moonshine cut with H2O to render it 80 proof (40% alcohol.) You can filter out that nasty cheap vodka lighter fluid taste with a Brita filter and save quite a bit on vodka. Whiskey, Scotch, Rum and Tequila are a different story. You always get what you pay for there.
