that reminds me of that old episode where peter falls down the stairs naked and lands near brian who looks up for a second then goes back to what he was doing like it happens all the time.
@@pocketmarcy6990 in reality they would just be smaller and move slower on a racked track. they wouldnt be massive free rolling barrels filled with something.
@@leociresi4292 If it was while climbing the ladder, that was part of the original game, as the animation for getting up and off the ladder gave you 'invincibility frames'
See, this is the side of Peter that I like. Creative and productive and with the goal of having harmless fun. He should've warned Lois so she wouldn't hurt herself, but aside from that I think this is a good use of his boundless creative energy.
@@marcw6875 yeah my dad has the exact same cooler. He brings it with him to different states for mountain biking, has a state sticker on it for every state he went to with it. Just more reason to talk about the cooler for longer.

I think it would've been funnier if Lois did Mario's death animation from the game, but I have a feeling her broken foot is gonna be a major plot point in this episode, so I won't complain.
@@subjectnether959 really? Well then. I think they should change it since it doesn't make sense for it to be mario, also in my opinion, it'd be some good lore and maybe make the franchise more impactful, since Nintendo don't take risks really.

@@darksideofevil13 could even have him recreate the other levels, culminating in a little-too-faithful recreation of the final stage that crumbles the whole house.
This has to be one of the most creative things Family Guy has come up with. Peter and Chris just wanted to have harmless fun and imitate their favorite game. Cleveland and Quagmire watching while drinking beer is hilarious and Peter imitating the “Eh-eh!” sound at the end really drives home the scene.
Everything good Peter did in this scene: - Apologize to Stewie for putting him in a dress - Warn Chris of the incoming barrels - Didn’t destroy Cleveland's house - Break his c*nt of a wife's foot
If there was a Nintendo amusement park, with attractions that accurately depict, or replicate, some of the level designs in their games, THIS would be one of them.
😂: Honestly, I can live with what Lois's foot being broken. Plus, I like to see her misfortune after all the shit she puts her family through sometimes.
I think something similar to this happened in the movie Megamind. After training Hal Stewart to be a superhero proves disastrous, Minion tries to change tactics by modeling the next training course on a level from the Donkey Kong video game, complete with him (who is a Mobile Fishbowl attached to a gorilla suit) throwing the barrels.
@@giorgioantonioninniriva633 Is she? I thought her dad Carter Pewterschmidt rarely gave her or her immediate family members any money, with the exception of paying their house's mortgage for them.
@@SurprisinglyDeep Heck, there's even been older episodes that showed why Lois hated having so much money. But regardless, I like to think her dad would probably bail her out if it came down to it. She'd just have to convince him that the bill is for divorce proceedings at the courthouse.
@@gurvmlk Except that during that one episode they only had a mansion because they were living in Lois' recently deceased aunt's mansion, they were mostly just hobknobbing with local rich people without being rich themselves and Peter only had money because he'd sold their house in Quahog without telling Lois beforehand. They only got the money to rebuy the Quahog house by selling the mansion and by finding and selling "dirty" pics of Abe Lincoln hidden in a secret part of the mansion. Carter is a tight fisted miser. When Lois was a teen a bunch of kidnappers kidnapped her on her prom night. When the kidnappers and a tied up Lois told Carter over the phone that Lois would lose her life if Carter did not give those crooks a ransom, Carter just say "sorry sweety we don't negotiate with kidnappers" and then just hung up the phone. (This is an ironic parody since Carter is clearly based off a dad character from the film Fargo who went to great lengths to get his kidnapped daughter back.)
@@SurprisinglyDeep Well that's why I brought up the divorce thing, because there was even an episode in which he gave Lois money because she told him it was to hire a divorce lawyer.
That and plus I think Stewie would be easier for him to carry due to him being lighter than Meg since Peter is taking the role of Donkey Kong and has to climb the ladder while carrying Lady (Lady is a separate character from Pauline or Princess Peach as confirmed by Nintendo).
@@richiezaragoza335 If we assume this to be an accurate representation of Donkey Kong, then it should exist on a flat 2D plane, making the depth of field irrelevant.
One of my favorite video game references being fully addressed in-universe, Quagmire actually getting a Yeti cooler (probably because his Dad/Mom owned one), Lois getting her foot broken from a water container, this video has it all.
I assume it was filled with water. And I genuinely don't know why at this point Lois would be so stupid that she wouldn't look before rushing outside to complain about something "interrupting" some petty task she was working on
There was a good cutaway line about Lois being on bed rest from the injury and Peter having to take care of the others himself. He said he hasn't been good at taking care of things, like he lost custody of his orchid. Peter Griffin: Please...you can't take my baby! 🪴 Custody Agent: How often did you water her? Peter: Every day. Agent: Every day?! Peter: I thought water was good! Agent: Not that much! ...What about Sun? Peter: I put it in the front window! Agent: A western-facing window? That's direct afternoon sunlight...you monster! 😤🤜 Agent 2: It's not worth it, O-Malley.
