00:03 - Mort's relaxed voice. 00:23 - Let's turn off our devices and walk three miles to temple. 00:43 - I gave Moses 20 bucks to walk away. Season: 22 Episode: 15 - Faith no more
The last I saw Neil was him pouring whiskey on his mom's bench and telling her to burn in hell. I wish this got elaborated. A flashback episode that showed Merrill was actually as awful as Carter would be fun.
A week, every week. Shabbat is really taken seriously by both Orthodox and Haredi Jews. Even old time Christians of the various denominations took Sabbath seriously...
Yeah. i like how they kinda show him as not trying to improve the world in actuality, but instead just solely selfishly wanting religion gone JUST for his own convenience. It kinda fits from the shows standpoint, because we're a long ways from seth's original vision of brian being the 'voice of reason' on the show. I mean. even in this episode, god shows up and kicks their asses for their antics, and it's treated so casually, that it's clear he knows god exists, but he's still supposed to be an atheist.
@@average-art3222 You don't ask men about their finances, just like you don't ask women about their age or weight, or Stewie about his age or what way he swings
@@jonsku6662 You don't ask people about how much they're making. Asking what 20 dollars in modern society would equate to in the past is not included in that
But you could not have invested it. Compare and contrast with the traditional example of Judas' thirty pieces of silver. Though 20 dollars would still lots of money when the American dollar was introduced or even later when bills became prevailing way of spending money - if you can make people accept an obviously modern bill.
Or realize religion isn't the cause of every bad thing in the world and that's more of just an excuse to do those bad things But no no Seth needs his mouth piece
@@jack_stone They portray the world as finally being perfect because all religion is gone after this and the only reason they bring religion back is cause God beats them up Pretty sure he's still a mouth piece
South Park already did an episode where in the future they worship science but they’re still at war with each other, almost as if conflict is always part of human nature.
Stewie is correct, twenty bucks by modern standards is nothing, but at the rate of inflationary aspects, we could argue that a proper exchange would probably have given him more money than god.
You tried sooo hard to sound studied, but failed to consider that fiat currencies would not be invented for several thousand more years, and that no one would accept a piece of paper in exchange for anything
@@antirevomag834 It's one of the basic concepts of modern economics. Tell me you're still in middle school without actually telling me. I can tell there's a lot of important stuff you're too spoilt to "give a shit" about.
Hmm oh damn him sounding more casual is great jus like that flashback when he didn't look geeky but handsome. Harmony way yeah '13 ,Hmm oh yeah that sucked ass well there are no regrets 0:18 ccept going off the grid 3 miles ? this eew (bleep ) up we ,(,bleep) up man 0:25 u know gotta lois my cartoon proud of the last name steinberg
The premise of the episode is a bit wierd since jedisim isn't a religion that is bent on bringing others in like Islam and Christianity, Jews are kinda doing their own thing, you can convert to jedisim if you wish but traditionally (excluding reform conversion) converting to jedisim could take years
So Brian wanted to get rid of religion cause he wanted women to be more loose towards him and he wanted to be lazy?... You know God was far to kind to him when he just settled to just give him that beating.
Nope stewie. 1. Dollar did not existed so it was just a piece of paper 2. Chinese invented paper cash but for a long period of time it was not spread around the world so still. Just a piece of paper.
No arbitrary (from an atheist's point of view), stifling rules? Does Brian even know what Judaism is? Hasn't he notícia EVERY woman with her head covered?
@@mmoney3523 Fair enough, but the headscarfs are more prominent than the kippah. Also, at this point, in Family Guy, I think, we had seen more male Jewish characters covering their heads than women. So I would say the women covering their heads are a greater change for Brian. Point taken, though. Thanks.
