Can you address the garbage issue. I’m sure you’ve talked about this in the past but I am fairly new to your videos. You referenced cardboard into the ocean which would be appropriate because it certainly biodegradable.You do such a professional job I feel like I’m with you on your journey. Leroy

Hi Leroy! It's such a controversial subject, but just know there are two kinds of sailors: those who dump organics into the ocean and those who lie about it. There are laws stating how far off shore you must be before dumping waste (black water tanks) and organics (pretty much anything besides plastic or oil). We are very conservative with the rules and don't throw anything overboard unless we can't see land with our naked eye and we know there's not a little island nearby. To bring all your trash, tied up in plastic garbage bags, onto a small island for disposal is a horrible thing to do. Marine life is not harmed when organics are disposed of properly into the ocean (crush cans, break apart boxes, etc) and we on Zatara value humans over marine life so we choose to take as best care of our humans on these little islands as we can! @@RideLikeTheWind_ - metal (say iron or steel) will oxidize away - depending on the oxygen level at depth -they also sink, which is great... aluminum only has a thing oxidized layer - if exposed to the atmosphere ... yet I would think is fairly neutral to ocean life. non-biodegradable plastics (most - 99% of plastics) are a floating, toxic, menace to marine life and human life!!!

YES!!! all 77 episodes in one week! LOL I am officially caught up. Keith; you are THE MAN!!!! Dude... The ONLY negative drek I saw was the response to your political opinion. Don't sweat it. It takes a lot of courage to put your convictions out there in a way that is up for critique by the whole world. Aside from that, your ability to learn at our age is truly inspiring. Im doing a bathroom in the basement, and feel overwhelmed... I can't imagine what it must be like to figure out electrical engineering on a rolling boat! Kids, you guys are awesome the way you chip in. Of course, we on this side of the screen don't get to see the little wars that occur between parents and kids, but you still get it done! My kids are literally trying harder at school and chores because of watching you! That makes you an inspiration... you are positively affecting the world in which you live! Renee... @JudahBenLevi Not to get into a whole prepper fight list on a sailing channel, But do you know how dumb that sounds, The last thing somebody is going to want to do is try to take out somebody that is ready, you can see a long ways off on the water, and ex navy types like me learned and practice hitting boats size targets at a distance while bouncing around on the water, and if anchored at a island you wouldn't even hear the shot.

Reminds me of my Mama’s coupon grocery runs. She’d be gone for hours and we would have to put the groceries away when she got home. We would have cereal, cases of juice and canned goods under our beds. She would come home from those shopping trips with cash in hand not having to pay anything for the groceries. Stores don’t pay anymore for overage when you use coupons. My Mama was great at it and fed all 8 kids well! 😊 I sure miss my Mama

Hi Just on plastic, when were sailing we used to convert bottles into "plastic string" theres also sorts of hobby things you do with it as well things around the boat, we would end up with more than we would ever use so it would stored and dropped into recycling at ports. Around fiji one of the locals weaved it into a hat for me, have to see if I still got it around

How ironic. A few days ago I stumbled across the Pacific Puddle Jumper website and saw you guys were listed as participants. However, your boat was still named Winsome (which I had caught glimpses of off and on over the various episodes). I wanted to shout out to my favorite Sailing family! Great video and being the father of two girls who were always Daddy’s girls, it gives me comfort seeing Anna in just about every episode where Keith is doing something on the boat. Way to go Anna! (And you are too pretty for makeup anyway) Keith And Renee, this question is for you. Are you going to do a renaming ritual for Zatara. You know, most men don't wear makeup, and no one thinks twice about it. Why are women different? I'm 56, and haven't worn makeup since I was in my early 20's when I wore it rarely. This is my face, and if someone has a problem with it, it's their problem, not mine.

I think any woman, any age looks better without makeup. Natural beauty is a thing to appreciate!

It took me 2 days to realize it (new viewer), but I couldn't place who Keith reminded me of and it drove me crazy trying to figure it out, then today it hit me! He's the " Big Lebowski" 😂😂😂, sorry Keith - it's a compliment in a good way!
