I love your videos. I have arthritis and don't get out much but your videos get me out by watching them and you all feel like a extra family to me I cried when I saw Anna's friend cry going back home.
I've been watching your videos since you first got the monohull and haven't even taken your first sail. Following your family's journey and watching the videos have really helped me through tough times and with my depression. I just want to thank you, Rene, and the family for taking the time to put out these videos (especially the 30 minute episodes!). I LOVE your videos and the family. Your videos get me through the week. Thank you so much and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel 2 years ago!
Oz I like what you wrote and hope you feel better. Tip: eating organic Oats ( GMO and pesticide oats won’t work) in the am and even as snack in the afternoon supports healthy dopamine and serotonin levels. Eat with org fruit and spices the way you like. No meat or dairy. Sunshine and sunlight, even just light outdoors. Don’t use anything on your skin and wear no sunglasses for 20 mins. If to much sun just cover in clothes. Do daily. Led lights, computer blue lights and sunscreens and sunblocks prevent vitamin D hormones.
Good day to you Zatara crew. I love yout cat, i've looked at privilege for 15 years. Me and the wife love to listen to your adventures before closing our eyes and start dreaming, because yes, we do not have the means now to do it, but dreams are cheap and i sleep like a baby since i started to look at ALL your episodes. I am sitting in minus 20 in Canada, but my head is on a cat in the tropics. THANK YOU for keeping us dreaming. Fair wind and may it guides you to amazing adventures. Gilles and Connie!
I have been watching you since the beginning and I have to say that watching your kids interact with each other is the true gift you've given them by choosing this lifestyle. When you started, what I saw was them tolerating each other as siblings. Now they are peers, friends and above all, family.
Damn, That was another FUN video. Packed with so many activities, beautiful camera shots (even drone shots), underwater action, boat pizza interview.... Heck, I even enjoyed the family game activity in the salon. Another well produced video. Thank you for sharing.
U guys nailed it, wish I had this opportunity to enjoy the oceans and seas and have the fun of the life, may God bless your family and may God keep you allways safe, respect from Kosovo.
Well, they're on a yacht in the Caribbean. Good on them, I'd love to live the life and I don't hate them for it, but they don't have cell service every day, and they're in a new enviable location every month. The average person is in a loop that is rarely broken. Tech is a distraction from that loop.
@@dbull50 very thoughtful and articulate explanation to negate half measured propaganda, no offense to the OP,just that I don't agree when people state things as fact when ignoring dynamics and other variables especially when, these days ,peoples minds are instantly influenced and indoctrinated on the internet and social media. This original comment wasnt as serious of course, but i think or hope you get the picture. Anyway, let me shut up, just saying, In a short paragraph,IMO you brought some light to such a big problem nowadays. Thank u.
I respect your family life on the water trough oceans, and iam %100 sure your children will be advanced humans with their early life experience s. What you share with us is like study how to be a family team! I salute the Zatara Family.. . Fair winds and peace brothers and sisters.. i love you all..
Never stop sharing your love for America or your beliefs. It's GREAT! People with different beliefs often think they can quiet you but ignore them. You guys are AWESOME!!!!
Great video guys. Followed you from episode one. The biggest change I noticed is the attitude of your kids - no longer grumpy and enjoying life so much more. ❤️❤️
I can't imagine how anyone can hate you or your family. When you do address them, you have nothing to apologize for and I bet more folks are with you than agin you. We love your videos and feel the same as you do on those issues. Hope you keep on having fun and sharing with us.
Although I don't agree with some of your political beliefs I still think your family is amazing and your morals are intact. you're doing amazing things with your kids and you're certainly a family to look up to!
Zari Ballard certain set of ethical ideals, principles, doctrines, myths or symbols of a social movement, institution, class or large group that explains how society should work and offers some political and cultural blueprint for a certain social order.
Shawn Smith you label anything anti-Trump as communist/socialist. And that’s a big mistake that will be taken care of in November. But if you want to be a fascist with Trump, off you go.
Just picked this show up on RU-vid, I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦 Live in Alberta, Canada. #BLUENOSE 🛶⛵️⛴ GODBLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY MAY THE CREATOR ALWAYS BLESS YOU & KEEP YALL SAFE. 🤠 "There are those who pass like ships in the night, who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight with never a backward glance of regret; folks we know briefly then quickly forget. Then there are friends who sail together, through quiet waters and stormy weather, helping eachother though joy and through strife. And they are the kind who give meaning to life." 💯👍🙏🤙🛶❤️
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Moreover, your true honesty and willingness to share your life. This is one of the very few RU-vid channels that I follow. Thank you.
I enjoyed this video the most out of all your episodes. It was great to see you doing so much on land and in the water. You all looked like you were enjoying yourselves completely. Great episode Renee!
Great video and family fun. I have been sharing these with my sons and telling them to notet life slip by for them and their families. They love fishing and being on the water. 👍
Catch Phrase ...... Jolene's favorite game of all time. We all get so anxious by that beep!!!!! Such a neat dive! ..... and after seeing Anna's friend visit. Each boy has a list of friends to come visit us.~Chris and Jolene Knapp
Now I know living on the high seas is definitely my calling and with the Pizza Pi boat, it's a perfect lifestyle that was made just for me....Thanks family for another wonderful cruise...
Love the life and experiences you are providing your children. They are wealthier in life knowledge in a way that you cant get from inside a school classroom. As a former teacher of the education system I applaud those families who can bless their children with travels like these. So much more to be learned outside of the four walls of a classroom. Keep doing what your doing. The love between you and your children has multiplied exponentially. It’s priceless❤️
The Pizza Boat is amazing! What is the word game being played? How beautiful was the airline agent who watched on and smiles the whole time Anna and her friend said goodbye, it was very beautiful. I love the Caribbean people!
Love your videos. You are living the American dream...freedom, family and liberty. Because of a spirit such as yours, proof is there. In USA, you can live your life's dream. Keep sailing Zatara.
Another great video and great editing. Looking forward to seeing the technical videos on systems you talked about and seeing how all that works out for you. Hope the baby shower goes well and hope the kids keep having fun.
I love this family and love the way you take us on your journey on the open water!!! I feel I am circumnavigating the globe with you guys!!!! Amazing videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell ANNA Hello from Chicago!!!!
Since you’re taking Christmas break I decided to go back and watch you’re earlier adventures and enjoy getting to know the kids when they were younger and seeing Anna. She is you’re “mini me” Renee! You have a beautiful family! Merry Christmas 🎄
Very nice.... loved the diving sections...i cant help but shake my head to see Keith going headfirst into a hole.LOL he is a man's man for sure......and the game footage was exciting... just like being there! Looking forward to the next video already!!
Wow...Mr K..& Ms R.. One of your best adventures yet. Great filming....beautiful wildlife...Classroom, educational quality. How about a college credit course designed around your unique lives.
Never feel guilty for craving home comfort foods, you have nothing to apologise for! Love, love your videos, Im currently binge watching & catching up!😍
The part that was the most solid in all this was was the departure of Anna's best friend. The raw emotion of 2 real friends leaving one another is hard to put into words. The tears show the realness of the relationship they have with each other. That is a true friendship. Amazing to watch. All in the feels at the moment.
Ok..now it is time to compliment the younger ones..the four of you are such an absolute pleasure to watch. You are all so considerate and close with each other, not to mention polite. I have to say you may be young but you are inspiring even to a 50 year old..I know I am ancient..lol keep up the good work you guys👍💐
I’ve been enjoying your family adventure and watching most of your videos in the last months. As a scuba diver that spend every single vacation in the water I need to say that Spearfishing with scuba is not the fairest way to get food. Your are in the best place to have everybody learning how to free dive! Safe winds for your nice family!
Thank you to the Zatara Crew, your wonderful family, for the inspiration and joy you bring to us all with these videos which are ultimately adventures many of us will never experience personally. For myself it is age and health as well as a special needs child that requires 24/7 supervised care. My wife and I take 12 hour shifts each day and we are happy to do so, it's our adventure. It of course has it's ups and downs as do all things. Being able to see your travels helps a lot and during my off time it helps to restore a little of my faith in humanity that yes, there are still level headed people in the younger generations. I love that it seems both Keith and Renee are grounded, based if you will. Today it seems far to many think that a high level education makes them smart or in far to many cases better than others. When in fact I'll take someone with common sense, problem solving and critical thinking skills over a well educated idiot any day of the week...
Haven't finished the video yet and the thought crossed me that it is unfathomable that you only have 65k subscribers. Awesome story, awesome content and awesome editing!
Hey guys I love your episodes! I am constantly checking my bell notifications for your new EP everyday. You guys are such a good role model for being a good all American family! Keep them coming. PS. Could you do Episode ore offen? 👍😎🌴
You made me tear up. You will always have a percent of negativity, and that's ok, you are still leaving a seed of positivity with them. Stay the course, I hope my family can meet you some day. We will cruise, and I will not stop until that goal is complete. Love your videos.
8:56 The whole video was great but the hearts made it even better. QUESTION: When did you tell the children about your decision to become live-aboard cruisers and what was their reaction?
Thanks once again. Who on earth could hate you. You’re a wonderful family enjoying life. Keep on doing it and lovely seeing you’re close family enjoying the beauty of the ocean.xx
Renee, There is so much to comment on here! First and foremost, YOU are a gifted, professional story-teller at heart! One who could easily find work at National Geographic, on the Travel Channel, et cetera! Honestly I think you could take a page from Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates and sell your product to a network as he did with “Live from Daryl’s House.” It’s that spectacular! I’m not sure the average viewer realizes the amount of effort that goes into the content you create for our consumption, but there are many video bloggers/producers who could benefit immensely from modeling your approach to the craft. What exactly do I notice? To begin with…CONTINUITY! In this episode you mentioned Finn accidentally tossing his chronometer over-board and then proceeded to take us with you in search of it. Upon seeing the grassy bottom I thought, “nah…there’s no way,” but as you began to skim the sand I was like, “wait a minute, wait…maybe…just maybe.” I suspect the grassy footage was an intended misdirect and I bought it hook, line and sinker! Brilliantly done! Your fluidity of camera movement is as professional as it gets. There isn’t a shot that lingers too long, and your steady-cam abilities are truly on point. I can read labels for goodness sake without having to endure headache inducing shaky-cam shenanigans. Your choice of music is always tastefully executed and knowing when to leave it out is something you’ve practiced judiciously as well. In this episode I especially appreciated they way you drew down the level of music so the viewers could better immerse themselves in the aquatic environment. Specifically, the air bubbles escaping the second-stage of the S.C.U.B.A. apparatus really added to the virtual swim-along! And then there’s the educational aspect of your work. The graphics, the maps, the voice-over work…all of it! The Z-logs for example, do a fantastic job of educating those who may choose to follow you into the blue water lifestyle. Oh, and speaking of education…something really stood out to me on this particular video that should make you and Keith beam with pride. In watching your family play Catch-Phrase it was apparent you’ve taken HOME SCHOOLING seriously and instilled the importance of learnedness in each of them. Your future adults handled the pressure of identifying the shortest route to the most succinct clue, and the answers came quickly sans an inordinate amount of, “er…uh…duhs and ums.” (Nicely done!) Lastly…as someone who has been glued to your travels from the outset, the growth in your children has been a joy to witness. In those first few episodes there was definitely a sense of, “Lord why are my parents putting us though THIS? Ugh!” It took some time, but the closeness is evident now. The smiles are genuine and probably couldn’t be contained or veiled if they tried! And THAT (I suspect anyway) IS WHY… you did this in the first place! As for the nay sayers…they’re missing the point with regard to the old axiom, “Smooth seas do not make a skillful sailor.” Overcoming challenges, and more importantly our fears, is how we as individuals grow in wisdom. Given the places your children have seen, the history, culture, and peoples of this big blue marble, I think it’s safe to say they stand a far better chance of making something of themselves and leaving this world a better place with them having passed through it! May GOD continue to bless each of you, and hold you (collectively) in the palm of his hand as the crew of ZATARA (a.k.a. Driftwood) continues on the adventure of a lifetime! - Randy Spicer, Atlanta Georgia
Hello from Florida, via Colorado! New to your channel. Great video, enjoyed it very much. Lived on a single hull and you guys were in my old neighborhood. PR, Culebra, Viegas, and St Thomas. Your boat is amazing! Loved the diving as that was this lady’s passion. Be safe and enjoy your wonderful life. Blessings.
I look forward to each episode. We have a few things in common. I am a pilot with both fixed and rotor wing CFI ratings. Ten years ago I started a flight school and maintenance facility with the intention to build it up to a point that I could retire on a catamaran. Well, last March we sold the rental aircraft and purchased a Leopard 43. I am maintaining the maintenance side of the business for 3 more years until the wife retires then it all goes and we move aboard. With lots of work to do on the boat, we watch with interest your progress with upgrades and travel. We hope to meet up with you sometime. Tim & Kathy Goddard, SV TRIG
Thirsty Thursday for Sailing Zatara!!!! In the spirit of the video, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Never been to PR but you make it look great. Looks like you found yourself a real life treasure hunt :). Catch and sell those Lion fish, they pay good money and they are an invasive species. So much watching yawl enjoying life. Our one day is coming soon :).
Secret Harbor Beach Resort in St Thomas is my fave place ever. I’m a photographer and they’re using my last vacay pics to market their resort. Beautiful and thank you for taking me back to the Caribbean when I’m in Alabama
Keith and I are the same age, and Jaws STILL HAUNTS THE HECK OUT OF ME! I live on the atlantic in FL and I'm still petrified when I go in higher than my waist, LOL
Y’all do a great job putting out videos that are recent, relevant, and interesting. And you do it without the typical click bait thumbnails. Even the 5 minutes of catchphrase had me intrigued! Keep up the great videos!
We love you guys, haters will hate, so stay the course, fair winds and following seas.......The Rodriguez Family (from ST Lucie, Florida) Puerto Rican....
Highly recommend visiting St. John next time your in the area, very short boat ride from st Thomas and has beautiful snorkeling and a lot of fun walking around Cruz bay!
I'd like to point out that while I may have some issues with some of your political views... I love you all, your videos make me happy, and I wish all the best to you and your family :P So, don't count me with the haters :P
