Many tourists seem to have Brain Fog. I Seriously believe, that tourists in general, should Watch and Listen, to an Informative film, about this place, .....with a main part concentrating on, the Do's and Don'ts, and the general running of the Military here. The young lady, the Karin slayer is a very professional horseman. She does not put up with any nonsense to a certain point and I definitely wouldn’t either. She is very respected by her peers I believe, and her comrades and I give her kudos for dealing with these tourist that are such idiots sometimesand thank you John for the entertainment. As long as tourists are allowed to wander around here, relatively freely, there will continue to be difficulty, and Chaos, sadly much of the difficulty is when Soldiers and Horses ( part of the main reason tourists visit) need to walk around here !!!!! 🇬🇧💂🐎

Just having a look from Saskatchewan🇨🇦, got awonderful'eye full' of Life Guards + Blues + Royals + their wonderful horses! Everytime I see them it is fascinating! In the British Saddle Club in Berlin, long before the fall of the wall, my best friend + I used to go riding there. 1972, actually. I had a British Passport + Army ID card, so it was alright. For a while I rode a 17 hand retired Guard Horse called Nautical. Unfortunately, while riding inside one day, he collapsed under me with colic. He didn't make it. The groom shouldn't have given him to me in the 1. place, I think. I have never forgotten him! He was such a wonderful horse! I had him on a VCR+ changed it to a dsk now. Maybe that is part of the reason I hav joined you.👋🎄Merry Christmas!!!🐎

I think the hardest part of a horse guard is that the soldier has to remain composed. I would have cracked up, just like you did when the lady yelled ‘ Ow he bit me’. I hope the rider was laughing on the inside.

John, doesn't Ormonde have a dagger type blaze on his face ? Like Monty has the single white sock on his left rear hoof. DId you say Arnie is in Melton Mowbray ? Holiday or what ? I love Arnie, he is brilliant.

All the sign needs to say is do not touch, the guards, horses or reins. Be aware the horses will bite and kick. The horses and guards should not be touched at all anyway they are working. How theses poor men and women got swept up into this mess I don't know. I love the horses I see all the time, I would love to hug and kiss them on the noses like Trooper Ellis but I wouldn't because I respect the personal space of the guards and horses and I don't see what the problem is in preventing this happening at all. Although I love to hear this lady guard shout get off the reins why should they have to shout at all. They should be backed up by their bosses and they should find a way to stop these wonderful men and women being treated like a fun park. You can go to Disneyland Paris if you want to pet and touch things. This really isn't the time or place for this stupid, rude and imbecilic behaviour of foreign visitor. I personally watch your video because I like your cheeky way of telling porkies on occasion not to see distressed horses, this really breaks my heart as a horse lover and having the honour to work with these beautiful and very intelligent animals I spend such a lot of time shouting at the video telling the idiots to leave the guard and horse alone this includes the chits man and gates man too I quite often turn the videos off as it does hurt me to the core to see the bewilderment and defeat in the eyes of the horses when they realise that the troopers on their back aren't going to do anything about protecting them they don't know about the orders not to shout or move people away from them, horse body language is so clear and they must also get frustrated when they realise that nobody is taking any notice of them telling them to go away and leave them alone. However I salute the troopers who still do shout and move their horses away from the mauling hordes all power to them.

If the horse appears to be looking straight at you, then it’s not. I was always taught to approach a horse (slowly) from the side where it can see you better. Their field of view has evolved to maximise coverage to the sides because they are prey animals. Predators are the ones that look straight at you because they need stereoscopic vision to assess range. (Like cats or raptor birds or us.)

I can't believe people stand by signs telling them the horses may kick and bite, and they stand there watching the horse nipping at people, yet they are still upset when the horse bites them - duh...or the trooper moves the horse further back in the box - and they follow? good for you horse! Then there are those three morons who stand one side of the horse, she gets nipped - so they go to the other side...do they think the horse only bites in one direction?

Why do they stomp their feet ?

Put a ramp of some kind in the box so the horse is too high for a lot of handling. It should have a ramp in front and back so the horse can get in and out of the box smoothly. You know this is only going to get worse. Fix it before it does.
