“Joe Bullard” , the announcer for FAMU’s band, is an excellent public speaker. He knows what to say and how to say it. The overall tone of his voice captures the attention of everyone in the stadium. Notice how quiet it was at the beginning of the show when Bullard was delivering a modified eulogy of Dr. William P. Foster before the band took the field. Any other announcer would have failed miserably. Kudos to Joe Bullard for being the best announcer ....
Look at all those dynamically designed choreographed n musically diversified marching techniques. Step step step. The field always belong to the FAMU Marching 100 Band.
Dr. Foster was the best because he knew God blessed him with the best Director of FAMU Marching 100 Band. I was there attending school while he was Director.
Hey this was my freshman year! I remember performing this in our “Sparklin’ shoes!” Man I’m getting old. Thank you for this, it was nice to reminisce. Hubba 2k10, Hubba Doc, Hubba Soulful Saxes
It would be nice to get this Famu back. Maybe Chipman isn’t the man for the job. He has had ample amount of time to bring the 100 back. Famu looks and sounds like a high school band these days. SU is the best HBCU bands.
Since Robert Champion death the FAMU admin had put many restrictions on the band, size was one of them. Chipmam has done a great job thus far IMO. I hope they expand their book for the SWAC.
