Fan clutch problems, we do not want to know or except the fact and face the damages because it can get to be complicated and very expansive
But most importantly, knowing where is the problem, what problem you have and target the situation and fix it, lots of time maybe that is not the problem or maybe it is
In this video you can see that I knew the problem and I have analyzed it before and making it sure that is the issue then target the problem and get it fixed

Manual switch did not turn off fan from spinning
slight air leak from fan clutch

problem eliminated by replacing a new clutch fan.

Good video, what symptoms did you notice on the fan clutch that you noticed it needed to be replaced?

My experience is if you don’t remove the radiator try and put something in front of the radiator to protect it from the blade hitting it and knocking holes it. My fan feel forward and 3 blades hit the radiator and I had 3 springs of water shooting in my face

That is kysor style fan clutch. When a major repair is done, never forget to change the bearings inside the pulley. There are 2 bearings and if they have worn and aren't changed, the little black couple inside the fan clutch gets melted

My paccars doing the same. Just replaced radiator thermostats and fan selenoid. Fan spins constantly. Gonna replace the fan clutch since it’s the original and has over a million miles on it.

Great video, mines is fan clutch is always engaged and turning. Checked the solenoid and when the air pressure reaches 90psi the solenoid is allowing air to enter the fan clutch which tells me the solenoid is good. . Also my fan clutch is leaking air. So its bad. Another job has to get done.

Hey was it the fan hub leaking air or a bad fan clutch?

If fan rolls freely does it mean it’s bad,got 07 m2 ,rolls freely when engine off,but won’t come on automatically anymore ,overheating might that be a bad clutch ?
