I have one, I use it in my apartment as I have too many collectibles on a shelf near my baseboard heater and it has lots of clearance. It's really nice
I never actually use the thermostat on mine. I just keep it all the way up and when I get it to the temp i want i turn it off. I never liked to keep these running unattended. I don't trust it.
nascar88ford I've got a big room so if it gets below 20 degrees outside (not -20) lol it has a hard time keeping the temp up. But that's because I can only use it at a medium level (900W) I can't use high (1500W) or ill blow a fuse. But if have to say if I was able to use it on high itd prolly do a great job. So I like it and its very quiet. And I've kept it running all night more than once. Very good unit for the price.
This week will be the test. We're camping in the north Georgia mountains this weekend. The low is going to be mid-teens. My camper is small, but as with every camper, it isn't insulated like a house. One of them has been running for the past 3 days on medium without an issue in it now to see if one could keep up. It was 38 yesterday and it was able to maintain 72-78 with me going in and out of it. I'm still debating about bringing my Patton space heater as a back up. That leaves me with 2 of these, one Patton, and of course the Propane furnace which costs a ton to run. I hope these turn out to be reliable because they take up so little space.
nascar88ford yea it'll definitely will be a test. Its a good idea to bring another kind of backup heater. That running along with the gas heater should do good with maintaining temp. Plus it'll not put so much use from your gas heater and will save you a little on gas usage.
