The musicianship in this is terrific. Paul shines on the piano with his chord voicings and John’s gentle lead lines adding depth to the music without overpowering, with notes filling the off beats of the lyrics is just fantastic.

@bmusar Most people know the chorus, the sing along part. The verses get complicated. You can see Mayer lose his place around 5:10. "It landed foul on the grass. The players tried for a forward pass, with the jester on the sidelines in a cast..." John chunked that phrase. Absolutely no shame in that. As Dave said, it's a beast.

My mom, who has never met John Mayer but knows how much he means to me and his impact on my musicality, got worried about this man, and I will never forget that level of empathy and kindness. Well done. Lost the lyrics for a bit but recovered nicely. It is a really tough song to pull off. Can’t really mail this without a ton of practice, but this was really enjoyable.
