I know this video is old but I am still pretty new to the sim racing hobby but watching this video review helped me make the decision that these pedals are perfect for me. Got the v3 pedals and a DD1 setup. There are a lot of reviewers for these products but none as intuitive as yours. Thank you SRG!

Thanks so much for the in depth on this pedal set. I have had this for almost 2 years and have not really been using it to its fullest potential. Watching your video inspired me to take it apart and make some of the same adjustments I added the performance kit and the switches the damper to the throttle changed the angle and rise of the pedals themselves, really excited to get used to the new feel. Awesome video keep this up!!

As I was watching this I looked down at my Logitech G29 pedals in disappointment

You really make high quality videos and these are extremely useful. Not only do you review the item in question in a traditional sense (ie. how the pedals work in-game), you also review the technical and mechanical side, give insight onto the mounting and things like that, that really make you wonder before you buy. Because, not everyone has professional grade mechanical engineering skills, let alone the tools for the job. I'd hate to buy something just to find out, that I'll need a hydraulic drill and a milling machine for the thing to mount. Your videos really help in fleshing out getting the thing you bought into actual operation (or in some cases, maybe realizing that this product would not be for me anyway). Thanks for the video, hopefully I'll be getting these pedals for Chrismast.

I know these are very much “mid tier” pedals when considering the more expensive alternatives but I hesitantly ordered these last night before bed. I woke up this morning, feeling the weight of regret but after watching your glowing review, I feel a lot better. Hopefully I’ll be seeing these in the mail over the next few weeks. Thanks for your analytic and thorough review. Others feel like they’re just reading spec sheets and buying into the marketing hype. Your reviews tear everything down and give the most objective perspective possible.

For anyone wondering, yes you can swap the Clutch and Brake pedal placement for easier left foot braking. No modding required. You simply need to disassemble it and slide the pedals off and rearrange them. Just make note of the black spacers between the pedals. One is a slightly different length than the others (middle sized spacer) and if you put that one on the wrong rod it will not fit back together correctly. I never use a clutch, I mainly race GT3 in ACC and doing this made my left foot braking so much more comfortable. A lot less strain on the hips and legs.

I just did the change the curved plates yesterday and found the installation of the motors very tideous, other than that it greatly improves driving feel and i am very happy about it, great review as well ! :)

Thanks for the review! I'll add my thoughts on the brake pedal. This was my first load cell pedal set and I was having a hell of a time getting a good feel for the brake. The stock elastomer set up preloads the pedal pretty hard against the mechanical stop, which makes a very unrealistic and troublesome dead zone at the top of the stroke. You must overcome the preload force before the pedal moves and that initial force registers on the load cell in a very non linear way. I replaced one of the original elastomers with an aluminum bushing and trimmed the remaining elastomer by about 5mm and then adjusted the preload so the pedal just barely touched the mechanical stop. Feels and works SO MUCH better now, with a realistic progressive stiffness and nice and linear force response! If you have a lathe or 3d printer, don't waste your money on the brake performance kit! If you're looking at buying this pedal set, plan on doing some DIY mods or paying for the brake performance kit. I'm very impressed by these pedals but the brake is pretty lousy as it comes from the factory IMO.

I run these with my g27 until I finally upgrade and these pedals are top notch, great feeling , great reviews Barry !

Great review as always mate, I have these pedals and I love them I went with the option cased for the brake and clutch and kept the original pedal face for the gas. I re[placed my CSL load cell pedals with this set and although Im very happy with them I could have easily stuck with the CSL set they are really good also. If Barry wasn't doing this, he could easily make a living helping kids get to sleep by reading bedtime stories. As we say round my way... What a lovely bloke.

Little tidbit of info for new owners: the three red screws on the footrest *should not be removed*, ever, by Fanatec's own guide. They are extremely soft, and prone to being ground to powder with very little torque applied. Should that happen, Fanatec will *not* cover the specific issue under warranty (i.e. the screws stay stuck.).

A very accurate review Barry. This is my pedal set. They're not perfect by any stretch, but they look nice and they perform well enough at their current price point for my skill level.

I bought the V3's when they first came out and they were DOA, load cell and accelerator were duff. I have no doubt they are excellent pedals still, but I ended up building my own after that.

As always a good review:-) I also have the pedals, I thought they looked cool with black pedal plates, so i thought why do i have the chrome ones and not the black ones, until i looked under the table and discovered mine was black to. Hahahaha

Great video. Just got my V3's yesterday. The throttle throw adjustment is big for me. Going from thrustmaster to v3's is different.

I'm watching this while I wait for them to be back in stock again (June 30). Have been saving all my unspent beer money during COVID-19 lockdown. Can't wait to get them and replace my G920 pedals!

After several months of configuring the SFX-100 motion simulator, I finally bought the Fanatec Club Sport Pedal V3. The review was useful, and I didn't need to replace the spring because I want to drive comfortably. Load cell brakes seem to need adjustment and adaptation. Thanks!! Next up, waiting for the CSL DD wheelbase and wheel rims, I guess I'll have to tease the Logitech MOMO racing wheels a bit more. LOL

I must say, after seeing your video...My wish would be that all sustainable building of electronics (like cellphones, and all that other related stuff) should understand that Fanatec perhaps by accident choose a Godly solution for not throwing away you pedal (like your Iphone or Samsing s10) after 3 years. Nice review I have this set and just a word of caution those pretty red screws are very soft and extremely easy to destroy when you screw them in and out so use caution and be gentle with them. Fanatec should provide extras of these imo

By far the best reviews of any product anywhere! I just picked these up and tweaking to fit my rig. Does anyone know if adding the blocks back after installing the pedal extensions makes a difference? Trying to understand if they serve a purpose

The one thing that I didn't hear you talk about was how was the vibration feedback in use? They're supposed to help with the feel of tires braking traction (both accelerating and braking). Wondering if they actually help simulate this...

I got them as well and if you use the racing shoes and turn it up to 5 then it's really like in the real race car! 🤩👍🔥

I also inverted throttle Paddel face drilled 2 holes in mirror position to have wider side of the paddle in up position which is to me a nicer feeling of it. when I run in socks

An alternative method of getting to the brake piston is to just remove the 2, five mm allen bolts on the ends of the crossbar in the bottom that actually holds the pedals. It'll take the pressure off the pedal and you can quickly remove the piston and change the dampers. Then put it back in, it lines up easily and then bolt in the bottom pivot tube...

Thanks man! I just got the CSL Elite V1.1 base and wheel (PC/XBox). Trying to decide what pedals to replace my G920 pedals with (currently having to have my g920 hooked up to run as a hub since the pedals don't have usb). Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I should go with the CSL Elite Pedals or these Clubsport v3 pedals. Watched your review on both and has helped me decide on the Clubsport V3 pedals. Sure, they're more money but I think in the long run I will like them better. Kudos Barry!

Those Acorn nuts should be facing to the outside of the pedal arms to give you more room inside.

I wonder if you could do a step by step guide to change Cluthc and Brake pedals position, as I have a playseat with the bar in the middle, and it's really difficult to position my feet to brake. I am used to brake with the left foot, so that looks a more comfortable position THANKS for all your videos...they're awesome!!!!
