I developed this Tail Tidy in 2014 and have been manufacturing and selling it globally to many #RnineT owners. It fits on every model of RnineT.
I've always said it's about 1 in 10 that experiences a dash error (even though everything is working fine). in the early days this wasn't an issue as we were only dispatching a handful a week but today it's more popular than it's ever been and in some cases we're dispatching over 50 tail tidy kits a week. This means more and more emails are coming into my inbox notifying me of a dash error.

Just added the resisters...works perfectly! Dash error has disappeared and blinkers flash at normal speed. Thank you for making these available.

Ah, the joys of vehicle electronics. Those cable joiners must have replaced the blue ScotchLoks that were so common when I was in the trade.

Roger Kent scotchlocks are still very popular. I personally prefer positaps. Smaller too. There are these other ones on Amazon I really like. Similar to scotch locks but with a spade connector.

Hey everyone just sorted this issue with my 18 urban gs. The rizoma resistor worked well and is abou the same resistance and wattage rating. Safe riding!🤙

I need to know if I should take my bike to BMW service and get rid of this ERROR.. You did not say anything last year when I bought this kit that there's a chance that this will show error. The patch or resistor that I can get for less than $20 on AMAZON and $50 from you to get it ship to me here in US and will take a few weeks. It will cost me $175 per hour to take it back to BMW dealership to upgrade the software error. If I was informed before and with a choice of either this kit or Daedalus with no error, then its a no brainer.

How much resistor is needed to get rid of this error ASAP? I’m afraid to take it to the dealership.

I have the same problem but a few month later. Dash error just when i use the brakes (front and rear) and left indicator blinking very fast...it is because of the humidity or the can bus change his mind ? 2018 model

Could be something totally unrelated too.

Its not really a CAN bus fault - more a difference in tolerance around triggering thresholds likely caused by electronic component tolerance

CrowBiker I hear you. But there’s a difference of intolerances from one bike to the next. No consistency. Has given me a headache which shouldn’t be there.
