Welcome to the Pier City Cycles Tutorial Series. In these videos, we hope to show you a range of jobs or mods that you can carry out on your BMW R9T or R18. We hope to cover those simple jobs which new owners might not feel confident in asking, all the way through to the signature mods we use to transform our builds.
In this tutorial, we'll show you the basic set up for wiring in a set of 3-in-1 multi-function indicators on the BMW R9T. This is one of our signature mods that gets fitted to probably half of the builds we complete in the workshop. It tidies up the rear end in an extremely effective and neat way and, once you know what to look for, is a simple and quick mod to carry out at home with a few basic supplies.
Tools Required;
A T25 Torx Bit
A T30 Torx Bit
A drill and relevant bit
Shrink solder or solder
PCC Socials;

Rory, thank you for making the time to show how to complete this mod. I've been wanting to mod my r9t pure but wasn't committed to make any changes. Watching your previous video confirmed the look I wanted for my bike. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and educate your viewers. My only recommendation would be to show in detail where exactly you drilled the holes on the rizoma understate and wiring. Many of us new to these types of mods would benefit from visuals of where wires are located, placed and parts fitted. Thank you. Huge fan!

For anyone wanting to do this modification, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed. My friends were surprised at how bright the kellermann lights are during the day and at night. This mod makes your rninet looks mean and sporty. Thank for all the advise and support to Pier City cycles and especially Rory.

You'll only possible need to add resistors if you have bulbs fitted currently. We recommend the Rizoma ones.

Hi Rory, I completed the modifications as per your instructions. Unfortunately I am receiving a lamp error code when I use my indicators. Is there any recommendations you can provide to prevent the fault error code. I reside in Chanda and I ride a 2018 r nine t pure.

If you were running bulb indicators before the swap then you may need to add a resistor to the indicator part of the circuit. When we carry out this mod in the workshop then there are no dash lights.
