I bought a fancy bike thing second hand from Ebay ooo it came with the hump it was cheep😁. It did not have the bracket for indicators so I got intouch with fancy bike thing explained situation. Chap told me "dont worry about it" and sent me one out free of charge with the bolts. I was amazed I was more than willing to pay. He just seems a genuine decent fella who is passionate about his business and customers. I would say for me it is this reason i would recomend fancybike thing.

Thank you for this video. I got my bike like a week ago and I really needed to understand the comparison. I liked the fancy bike thing one because of the simplicity and I believe that is the r nine t about. Having aluminum chrome like things on bike is not in anymore. One thing that was a little hard in the video was your camera focus. I subscribed tho, just hope the camera focus improve a little in later reviews. Thanks again.

My only gripe with the video is when it wasn’t focused on the lights when they were fitted, I could see the background better than the light. I just want to see up close what it looks like.

I would go for yours because in centralised and your using the standard wires. I’m a perfectionist and even though I would never see it, it would bug knowing the led is off to one side.

I've sent several emails over the last two weeks with no response, my kit is defective and I have a warning light and fast flashing turn signals. Still hoping to get the issues resolved as I'm happy with the kit if it worked correctly!

Daedalus Minima would be a better choice than FBT...Billet aluminum vs cheap plastic/steel, lighter too...only roughly around $40 USD exchange rate more than FBT..no hassel dealing with clearing Customs

Love the look. I've got FBT and seems to have hyper flashing issue when riding in the rain. Okay after a few days once dried out. Not sure if they all do that or I am just unlucky

Clarification please? Your website says 299 quid "worldwide shipping with this product" Cool! But when I go to checkout, it whacks on 22 quid more for postage... Is this a glitch or am I just thick?

I bought one last month n just recently received n installed on my 2020 RnineT pure. I like the looks and easy installation, however dash error n light bulb error occurred when I turn on signal. Please advise on how to fix this issue

I am very satisfied with Fancy bike, I now ride it for 15000 km, the LED is clearly visible and the bracket is nice and discreet, everything can be seen what you want, if you want it not too expensive en discreet but en quality LED then Fancy bike is the right place for you !!

Hello again, got a question for you. Just been on Pier City site and it says that this item bolts on to the rear subframe of the bike, now as of yet I haven't got my scrambler yet (two weeks away) but one of the first mods I was to be doing was....removing the rear subframe and fitting this item !!! Can you clarify things for me please ?

Stuart McIntosh when you refer to rear subframe are you actually referring to rear pillion foot peg frame? If you are then that’s ok. Removing it will make it an even easier job to install the FBT.

Does the Fancy Bike Thing one have a CE certification for usage in Europe?

TheSpaceSwagger no it doesn’t. Both brands lack this due to the fact the turn signal at sat too close to each other. If we removed the integrated turn signal we could get this strip CE certified quite easily. I say this with 100% confidence due to the research I have carried out in this area. However, that’s not what people want so the FBT tail tidy comes with an optional oem turn signal mount which makes the tail tidy road legal for those riders who never break the law.

@@ABIKETHING the problem is, cops over here check for the ce-certification that is stamped onto the light. If there is no such stamp, then they will tow your vehicle (don't even let you drive home), even though it is the same or higher quality than another light with that stamp. So it's kind of risky to get your fbt. I would love to get one, even though I would use it with the oem indicators, but I don't want to risk all the trouble. I would love a ce-version.

The racer which is a newer model tends to throw the dash code, I believe you can’t see it because you have the heated grips on and that icon is blocking the error codes.

DIY Ducati good call! That light is still on that racer. The owners lives very near so I’ll ask him to check. Either him or I will respond to this soon. In my experience it can happen on any variant. Seen it happen on all years and models. It’s totally random when it does it. IMO BMW needs to take some flack on this but no one dreams of doing that. 😄

Sorry I forget to get back to you. I hope you respect my honesty on this one as yes you are right. The owner called me saying he saw the error flash up momentarily for like 2 seconds but then it vanished. I’ve asked him to keep an eye on it. He rides it daily and I haven’t heard a peep. On a similar note but a different bike, I have been working on my Gs adventure this week doing a video on the new gen 2 cansmart, you can see it in my videos. Hyper flashing and dash errors started going crazy but then I realised I had a very low battery. I stuck it on charge and the following day all the dash errors and hyper flashing disappeared. So this is now going to be another port of call to ask customers to ensure their batteries are sufficiently charged. There could be a link here but I cannot prove it.

No. A lot of people have wired up the rizoma to the fbt. It’s done off their own back instead of us making it with them on there.

Until you’re able to ensure that 2018+ models are consistently able to have the Fancy Bike Thing installed without causing a dash error, I think it’s misleading to market them as fully compatible with the newer canbus models. To blame BMW doesn’t actually change anything. Your solution either is or isn’t compatible and I’d say a 50% or even 75% rate of not having errors is not sufficient to tout that it’s compatible. For some people this would be a material consideration in going with the Daedalus vs your product.

Batpig Daddy thanks for your input. Ok well I only have my own feedback to go with and if I measure that up against the volume of sales well then the rate of dash errors is coming in at less than 10% and that’s across all years and all variants of rninet. Only last week I had a 2015 model with the issue. Fancybikething isn’t seeing a trend in 2018+ plus models. I must also say that based on publicly available info on Facebook forums that Daedalus have the same issues. This is not unique to fancybikething so your comment about some people going with Daedalus vs FBT due to the dash error can be quashed. I feel my hands on experience across all years and variants is valuable to the viewer and also Daedalus’s experience come to that. I personally want answers from bmw why there’s no continuity in this issue across 100 identical rninets of the same year and spec whereas it sounds like you’re expecting some kind of magic to deal with the anomaly. My final thought is this. You have a bulb error on your dash but everything is working fine therefore the canbus has incorrectly diagnosed the error. I’ve wired something up to the positive and ground on the back side of my din plug before and even that created the bulb dash error. Seriously? Find me someone at bmw competent enough to explain this.

Warren Flay you have a warranty and me to contact for support. I’d never leave you in a position where you’re stuck with something you’re not happy with. If we can’t sort it through simple means of trial and error, just send it back for a refund.
