She saw the intersection between voting rights, education, and economic opportunity. She was far ahead of her time, and was planting seeds for trees that she wouldn't live to sit under. We, the people, must continue her legacy and fight for the upward mobility and empowerment of the Black community. May her name forever be engraved in the halls of history for her outstanding work and achievements to make a better world for us all.

“To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish” Charlie chaim

I have no thoughts on that.. however as a woman I want States to change the law saying that if a child is born in a marriage and he knows, then has a paternity test done he shouldn't have to pay child support. It isn't right! P.S. I let my husband take things that I had before marriage to make sure he would leave. 🤣👍 He still is living off of women. He paid about 10% of the child support and if that would happen in 2020 he would go to prison... but it was 1991, and he had a child 4 years later and I didn't pursue that court action. Because he had another child...... not all women are the same and luckily for my son I could provide on my own everything he needed. And my son, as an adult hired a lawyer for a bit, as his "father" wanted to suddenly be in his live at age 24. He bombarded him on Facebook. I am sure it hurt him, but I never spoke badly about his father.... 5 years later he started it again... my son had that same attorney send the same letter though this time my son said he would start legal action. I knew nothing of this and I got bombarded on fb. I don't do fb... my friends said you need to look at what he is writing. I did. Sad. So men and women make mistakes. Sorry that you had trouble but life goes on and just enjoy life.

@@headishome8452 i dont understand the part about paternity test. Do you mean if the child turns out NOT to be his that he doesnt have to pay for the child support? Which would be logical imo.

@@christymyrick8845 And for the poor like myself with the New REAL ID...it is harder to get my ID renewed. They want an utility bill in my state... my electric comes with rent. I had to have my apartment complex make an official statement about this. Then I had to ask my case manager ( I have a TBI ..2 brain injuries) go with me. With all the paperwork so I can vote. Then they changed polling place... so I have 2 rides set up in case 1 can't make it. So I will be on walker in line a long time... because there is no place to sit. I am only 51. And I will want the seniors who arrive after me to go ahead, but this year I can't. It will be cold because it is being held at the volunteer firehouse, concentrate, no chairs. I already have called and asked. Have a good day/evening ⚘

@@christymyrick8845 Everything is okay... good life. ID ran out during my states very short quarantine (this is first week numbers went down) I have everything ready. And no, it shouldn't be this hard to vote, or to have ID. In my state...if you don't have ID, it isn't pleasant experience at all. In some cities it is illegal to be homeless. It is getting ridiculous as most ppl are homeless saving up for an apartment. I am sure it isn't in some cases, but I work (I don't like to call it charity..really) with all kinds of ppl in socioeconomic situations and settings. I am grateful to receive $783 a month and Medicaid ( was permanently disabled in a 4 hour time frame) so I see things differently than most ppl. I was in a salaried job, enjoying life and you never know what is around the corner. Have a good evening 👍
