About a year ago, I had both of these. The differences between the two weren't drastic enough for me and I sold the X version. Still content with that decision.

Wow. Yeah, it's a good thing for me that I only want a few MP scaled folks. Those FT prices are absosmurfinlutely insane on the secondary market. Which sucks, because this is perhaps *the best* figure FansToys has ever made.
A very slight difference between the two... hard to see them except for the backpack, all others are so minuscule that I couldn't tell them apart at a passing glance. Good video, thanks!
Passed on the 10X and to be honest, the improvements aren't worth the extra price at the time it was released and now it's quite a bit more. Definitely glad I got the first one. Hopefully it will get re-released as I wouldn't mind getting a second one for alt mode and a lot of people missed out on it too.
LOL! Had to revisit this one, Mike. I finally got a 10X. Going to leave him in bot mode and leave the 10 in fighter mode. I couldn't turn down the 10X at $250 shipped plus tax and it comes with a custom kit that has blast effects, swords, and some wrist guns. Oh, and some custom Autobot/Decepticon insignia chest panels.
Ft10x is so awesome I bought a second one to have in alt mode. In all honesty Hasbro jetfire looks more toon accurate in bot mode. Weijang would Make a killing if they over sized siege jefire put diecast in the chest nose cone and feet and gave him proper fully articulated hands. Light up the eyes and give him a voice box I would buy four!! Fingers crossed. I bought a second siege jetfire for 60$ so I could do those mods I mentioned but he's so good looking I put those plans on hold. I might still do one mp soundwave head light kit and MP magnus hands would be awesome.
When shipping prices get back to normal, I'm going to try to sell my regular version and wait for a re-issue of the X. It's just more consistent with the highly painted figures in my collection. And I believe it is painted with a pearlescent clear coat. So, the white you see is the plastic, but the shine is an application and not incorporated into the plastic.

I really like the FT Aerialbots. They are selling out of Smokey also and he is not due out until later in the year. I think many people are buying 3 or 4 fanstoys these days.
One day when i have a spare $8000 i'll be able to find one on the secondary market. LOL Edit: I would get the regular, cheaper version and repaint the shiny red parts on the legs. It sticks out like a sore thumb.
Flat or glossy, I prefer the brighter red on FT-10. Pheonix was a newer release when I started collecting MP TF, and at the time my self-enforced price cap per figure was in the neighborhood of $100, and I wanted quantity first starting with the lower priced figures. I've since had to raise the price cap to $200 per figure, which does leave out a number of characters, at least as far as what I am looking for. My son got a Seige Jetfire this past Christmas, and I've thought about buying one for my collection, even though he would be a bit short, I really like the options and accessories, although I prefer the overall aesthetic of FT-10 slightly, Seige Jetfire is close. One thing I do not like about the Fans Toys version is the number of visible screws. The inside view of the arms in bot mode look like a Terminator riddled his arms with bullets. lol But I had to draw the line somewhere and $200 is it, just high enough for select characters like FT Astrotrain. Characters like Metroplex, Fort Max, Trypticon, and Jetfire, I'll have to look into other options.
I also passed on FT-10 at the original $220 and had to eventually pay the late tax on him. The new $220 normal price for these bigger FT figures is painful for sure! Thanks

Get that box out of the background (makes a bunch of the comparisons harder to see) and take some Ritalin. Ease into it without the shakey cam. You make some great videos, just collect the next thought before talking. Keep up the good work.
UnChannelDuVulpineX for master piece displaying, scale of Phoenix is better. For playing and everything else siege jetfire is way better. It’s also a good investment. U could resell it for higher price, if u bought for the retail price. It was so “underpriced” compared to 3rd party. And the combination with siege and earthrise lines is limitless. It’s future proof
You can't compare siege version to Fans toys version. Siege is a decent figure for the price, but it isn't masterpiece. And isn't screen accurate. The siege head sculpt looks like the daca toys head sculpt. Crappy!
For most of the characters, you aren't going to get 100% cartoon accuracy. The cartoon models really simplified the look of the robots and toy designers have to be able to figure out a way those bots are going to transform into an alt mode that still resembles the cartoon ones. For me, the character designs have not aged well, so taking liberties with the designs for the figures is better for me as it makes the toy more appealing when I would probably pass on it if it was a straight up cartoon design.
Best part about modern Hasbro is the little details they’re adding, like how you can rotate Jetfire’s faction symbol. I can’t afford 3rd party and wouldn’t give 3rd party to my kids, so it’s great to have better affordable toys
