I enjoy how the American ones put more effort into the light show aspect, but I love the music at the beginning of the Japanese one. I don’t know why, but it makes me remember the amazing day I’ve had and feels more like it’s wrapping up the visit to Disney, whereas the American version just feels magical and spectacular, but doesn’t feel like it’s the ending to an amazing day. Maybe it’s just the fact that I’ve been to Disney sea way more than america(I live in japan) and have heard it playing while I leave the park multiple times, but it just feels more romantic and nostalgic, like it’s indicating the end of the dream-filled day, and when it transitions to the fantasia theme, it’s like it’s saying, “but wait, there’s one last magical experience to be had before this day ends”
That dragon entrance was amazing!! The dragon was in the mirror, and I was thinking, "I know an animatronic dragon is going to appear here. How is it going to show it getting out of the mirror?". Note that I thought the mirror had an electronic screen and I guess i didn't it was made out of water or something else the whole time. The dragon just pops it's head out of the mirror and it caught me be surprise! Great entrance!
seen both the Fantasmic Shows in Disney Land California and Disney SEA in Tokyo, and found both to be awesome in their own way, I loved the song "Fantasmic" from Disney California, but i loved he song "Imagination" from Disney SEA so much more! Opening Scene in Disney SEA, use of fireworks and laser effects was for me better, but the Peter Pan boat scene and the final steamboat float in Disneyland California, hands down brings me back and taps some of my happiest "childhood memories" .. if you have a chance, watch both! so worthit!
I went to see this in Tokyo, and I can seriously say that it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It was amazing, this clip can't be compared with the real thing at all. Both me and my friends was in tears, lol. また見たいな〜〜
What they need is a Fantasmic with Tokyo's intro, the Peter Pan segment from California, the Disney Villains segment from Orlando, the dragon from California, and Sorcerer Mickey fighting Malifecent, Magic vs Fire, and also they need to get rid of the water projections and add some movies, and newer fireworks, lasers, etc. oh, and the hint of the sorcerer's apprentice at the end. Pure epicness, who agrees?
Thanks for making all the Tokyo DisneySea videos. ive always wondered what the forein disney parks were like. And your the first ive seen do the POV's well =D
I wasn't as huge a Disney fan in 2006 when I was stationed in Japan and had the opportunity to go to Tokyo Disneyland, and have been kicking myself in the butt for it ever since.
Flying Taco Truck I'd say go in the fall instead. If you live somewhere cold it should be warm enough for you and it's not full of vacationing Japanese :p
I ws there last week of november and I'm from a cold climate. So I was in a sweater all the time while the Japanese wore coats and scarves :p. Admitedly it got chilly when I stopped moving during the show and the wind was blowing on my back, but I started walking and got better.
You just can't go wrong with a classic. TokyoDisneySea's version of "Fantasmic" adds some new material to the classic 1992 Disneyland/1998 Walt Disney World show, while still retaining a fair few of Bruce Healey's themes from the original. Sort of a mix of "Fantasmic" with a bit of "World of Color" thrown in if I had to describe it to others. I liked the new animation of Mickey, the Old Hag from "Snow White", and the small bit of Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" that we get here, though. :)
I see people saying that this is better than Florida's Fantasmic, and I agree, but Florida's Fantasmic has a mountain, and California's Fantasmic has a cabin
They should do this in Epcot like for a one time thing or something to see how it goes since that I'm sure has enough space to have all of this and if its good enough have like 2 fantasmics at HWS, since they usually have 2 shows whenever they do perform the show, and then have 2 different shows I think that would be amazing.
this looks petty awesome its cool how they keep the original music in as a nod to the california and florida versions but also has a completely different show style
Great video -- I was surprised that the music transitions in places seem rather abrupt, and the timing of the effects isn't as clean as the stateside versions. While technically, this is the better show, for the pure showmanship of it, I think the stateside versions still have the edge.
I absolutely LOVE Disney World's Fantasmic because it's just so beautiful. I saw it last Tuesday when I was there for spring break and it was so amazing. I was in the front row and I got SOAKED by the water! It was awesome. I think that this one is cool but not like the Disney World one. The one at Disney World is a classic for me. ❤️✨
+Skoorlit (living trash) Its the mill on Tom Sawyer's Island. Since 1955, guests have been able to play on that island by day. But when Fantasmic arrived, it astounded people gathered around the river by transforming into an incredible show right on the Rivers of America. Some folks like the stadium seating at the Hollywood Studios, but for me, let the show rise out from the waters.
I think the new visual elements are wonderful, and I love how kinetic the show is at times, with so many things happening at once, yet in harmony--sort of a symphony of sights. On the down side, I much prefer the original songs over the new ones, and this version lacks the tightness and tension of the other versions, for lack of a better way to describe it (mostly an issue of music and transitions). Overall, Disney did an excellent job of giving us something familiar yet new and fresh.
If you're a huge fan of Fantasmic, then you would enjoy watching all 3 versions. You may have your personal favorite but it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy all of them. Please stop arguing on which Fantasmic is the best, if you're going to talk negative about any Fantasmic, then keep it to yourself.
Seems there’s new animation sequences made specifically for this version of Fantasmic! I love it! Something that’s not edited from any of the original films alone!
I'm definitely going to disneysea nx wmmonth when I'm in Japan this looks cool, I just wanted to ask if I get the day pass from what time the park opens till tit closes?
You're sooo right. My personal favorite is the WDW in Hollywood studios, maybe since I saw it first and first impression was amazing, but I think the one in california is just as awesome too since it is the original one (as you may say it) and I love this one too because since it is done recently, it has very good effects. The point of the shows is to enjoy and know that with imagination you can beat anything, and it is really true.
I like this ending the best out of all Fantasmics. We need more Sorcerer Mickey fighting the dragon! That and the beginning is just epic... Probably my favorite if I could understand what they are saying...
Disneyland california's one are the king of all the fantasmics! Has the better dragón, better audio, better final boat, better scenes, peter pan scene and more
+Ewizaboof Dewitt (Kaiju) The sailing ship Columbia (as Captain Hook's pirate ship) is really spectacular in scale, and one of the highlights when it goes around the Rivers of America.
I'm a Disney World annual pass holder, and I have SO many reasons why all the Fantasmics are wonderful in their own ways.. But in my opinion, get ready to be BLASTED WITH WDW FANTASMIC FACTS. First off, Pocahontas' segment in WDW's Fantasmic is a perfect way to transition into a princess scene, with her being a princess herself, and we have a mountain and not a cabin. We also have, a while not complete looking, awesome looking dragon that looks like it's straight out of a child's nightmares. We also have the iconic scene of Sorcerer Mickey appearing on the top of the mountain and controlling various beautiful effects and you can't beat that. That's just my opinion, though!
+Ewizaboof Dewitt (Kaiju) Oh man, I'm going to have to fight you now. JK. I worked at Disneyland's Fantasmic, river boat driver. I was an attractions CM by day running the Mark Twain and the Columbia Sailing Ship. Loved how we transformed those two vessels, Tom Sawyer's Island, and the Rivers of America from this idyllic daytime setting into a nighttime spectacular. Florida's show is excellent of course, but the brilliance of the Mark Twain and Columbia in starring roles... that's hard to replicate. It's ironic that you might think California's show doesn't flow well. That's because you're used to your show, and I'd think the same about the Florida version.
I was mesmerized by the beginning and, I have to admit, I got tears in my eyes when the main theme started playing! TwT Is it wrong of me to think that this version is the best out of all the versions of Fantasmic? :'3
i had the chance to watch this live in June...and for some odd reason i was almost in tears....wahahahaha....goosebumps all the way...must be due to my deprived childhood..wahahahahahaha
